  1. We'll see I guess. Crossing fingers here.
  2. Good luck to Whedon on this. Alot of big name actors. Alot of major comic characters. And they're all going to have their chance to shine as well as have a coherent story in the span of 2 hours?
  3. I've been playing alot of Dark Souls on the PS3 while I was recently on vacation. It was on my sister's PS3, and I intended to copy the save game to a prepared memory stick and upload it to my own console. But apparently the save games are set not to allow any copying. So now I have to start completely over after putting in serious time on this sucker. Ugh... As for the game itself, it's better than Demon's Souls. Environments feel more varied now, which is very nice.
  4. No way! At least with porn you're bound to have something you like.
  5. At least DNF didn't pull a "Daikatana" to come out of dev hell!
  6. I guess we didn't learn our lesson from Robot Jox. But then again, .
  7. I liked the 90s movie for what it was: A straight action flick made for its time. I don't think it'd fly with me now, but I loved it back in the day. But hey, it had a young Charlie Sheen and freakin' Cpl Hicks / Kyle Reese. 'Nuff said! As for the Active Duty SEALs used in this film, I guess it's a good sign that the guys actually have some time back in stateside to take part in this. I know all the highly trained units like these get deployed like its cool. Some bonafide home time for them is always good.
  8. Interesting. Active Duty SEALs also? Hmm...
  9. My hatred for you has gone up substantially now. Thanks...
  10. LOL, some huge aviation safety no-no's! At least it looked real fun.
  11. Got my hands on a copy of Dark Souls. Just like the predecessor, Demon's Souls, I'm thoroughly enjoying it. The game is merciless and I've died so many times that I've lost count. But I figure things out and progress, learning from mistakes. I also keep finding little secrets as well as rewards for insisting on trying out something new. The only thing I dislike is trying to play with a hand controller since the majority of my gaming is on the PC. A mouse & keyboard setup would really let the UI of this game cut loose. Getting stuff done is a huge accomplishment in this game. I'd recommend it but it's not for the faint of heart
  12. Generally I lean towards "more footage = better" but I agree that it depends from movie to movie. I'll agree with the director's cut of Kingdom of Heaven, makes it better. More stuff to see in a movie is usually good for me unless the quality of the spliced in segment looks noticeably off or it greatly alters something key to a movie (with them being fine in the first place). Regardless, alot of movies these days release with extended / director's / unrated cut with the theatrical version in the same place. The recent Blade Runner releases is an outstanding example of catering to all visions of this great movie. 4 versions, count 'em, FOUR, in the same package. I just wish the great flanneled one in Lucasfilm did the same.
  13. Sepecat Jaguar, am I right? I could have sworn building a model of that when I was a kid.
  14. Ma-Ma-Ma-MASK!
  15. Ah, RotJ, the sole "mixed bag" of the Original Trilogy. For every cool thing like the speederbike chase and the epic space battle, you had Ewoks littering all over the place.
  16. Really? The fancutters? The ones trying to preserve the original vision of a classic, well loved movie?... without even profiting from it? Or the guy twisting that said movie into something else entirely with bad, out of place edits & splice-ins?
  17. Ahh, so Ace Combat now has adopted the COD "Press F for Action!" game design philosophy? Talk about inspiring.
  18. Well, after catching up on news about this title, I guess the air combat genre on the consoles is wide open for someone to dominate now? Since the boys in charge of the Ace Combat series tripped and fell on their swords? I don't really see HAWX doing it.
  19. Amazing what the name of an IP can sometimes do, eh?
  20. Dooku to Anakin: "I has been hating you."
  21. I think it's both. Granted, I never played the first Deus Ex from 2000. But from what I've read, you have the choice to develop your character to certain play aspects like stealth, gun-toting, etc. You're also supposed to be able to tackle the missions by a wide variety of ways. So basically, it plays a little of both FPS and RPG. System Shock 2 from 2000 was also like this.
  22. You know... I have to wonder what other horrid changes are in store?
  23. Ta-dum-tissssshh! That was a terrible show. I didn't make it past a few episodes in the first season. Please tell me it was on for only 1 season? No? It was on for SIX WHOLE SEASONS? No wonder Star Trek had been driven into the dirt.
  24. Ah, I see what he did thar. It's too bad that for a franchise as big as Star Wars, Lucas doesn't want the original cut out there, and segments of the fandom are left to fend for themselves. With this fan's work being a big example of it. Then I look at my library of DVDs & BDs and see original and director's cuts all over the place. Sometimes within the same package / case. And then I just shake my head.
  25. I'd hate to be the poor bastard that has to constantly stare at the Motion Tracker "Oh, they're all over the place, man!"
