  1. So sounds like it should be ready to start shipping around end of the month. Awesome!
  2. Really nice work Capt! Do you have a rough ETA for completion of the kit? Meanwhile, here's some new pics from Mercy Rabbit:
  3. July is the advertised release date. Sentinel don't appear to be very punctual for new molds though. The ride armors were delayed about two, maybe three, months...
  4. I doubt it will actually release in July, if that's a factor.
  5. Meanwhile, here's a pic from Mercy Usagi, who does illustrations for Sentinel. Maybe a sign of things to come..? https://mobile.twitter.com/mercy_usagi/status/1094686769285455872?s=21 Thanks Alex!
  6. Cool, but I was really hoping they would show a drone Legioss prototype.
  7. I'm more enticed by the Legoiss than that Blowsperiour. Hopefully they will have fighter mode displated as well.
  8. Which is also about $300 Australian + the shipping... I know the quality is there, but it's still going to hurt.
  9. What are the chances ET will announce the drone version of their Legioss at Wonderfest in two weeks? Probably about as likley as seeing a Tread...
  10. How many variants are you thinking of doing? I think there are six including the unseen 'worker'.
  11. Wishing everyone a happy new Valkyrie for 2019!

What spooks me is that we have seen all of those mecha in that original diorama released except the Phalanx, Tomahawk and Nousjadeul-Ger. And half the tooling for the Phalanx and Tomahawk is done in the Defender. I am reassured by The Goose.

Is there any way to request Bandai to release the Phalanx and Tomahawk as exclusives? It does really look like they won't get released.
  14. The official release date is the 29th, so a week from now. When that happens stores such as HLJ could well have excess canceled stock. Those stores don't price-jack, so I think that's your best bet for now.
  15. So the VF-1J is just a week away. And the race will be on to see who uploads the first set of .STL missile sets.
  16. 'Anime Export' are an option, but not that much better than NY. Otherwise 'Big in Japan', but they tend to take a bit longer to ship and are more expensive, but much better service. MyKombini are another option, but not recommended based on recent comments on this forum.
  17. Yeah, but it was a while ago. Very good service, but more expensive.
  18. They wouldn't. Nippon-Yassan, MyKombini or Anime Export do proxy ordering for Bandai exclusives.
  19. Yep, which gives some liberty to the design, and is why I think that one's much leaner design is a great (re-)interpretation. It looks like the head can turn a bit too, which it isn't supposed to, but again, it's their interpretation. How many times has a 'perfect transformation' SDF VF-1 been refined over the last 40ish years? And it's still not line-art accurate on account of the puffy hands alone. Takara is set to release their third Masterpiece interpretation of Optimus Prime, whose robot and truck mode looks accurate, but the transformation is hectic as parts of the cab move into the legs to achieve it. Beagle (arguably) produced the best Ride Armor 10 years ago, yet it was the least accurate in terms of proportions or transformation compared to CMs Corp or MegaHouse. They traded proportional accuracy for practicality and it worked well enough for Aramaki to adopt it for his later redesigns (assumed). The Bioroids don't even transform, but as Captain America implied, something has to give to for them to achieve a decent range of motion. And where there is a will, there is a way. These are still the best Bioroid kits I've seen in terms of proportion, even though they're not completely loyal to the line-art either. But I don't make toys, so what do I know... Right? I just buy them.
