So what is the deal with Max's weathered VF-1S? I am seeing some selling it and stating that it is limited to 300. Is this confirmed? Does each one come a certificate of authenticity stating it is 1/300? Also, the box appears to be the same as the regular VF-1S and doesn't state whether or not it is "exclusive". If anybody has purchased one, please confirm. Thanks!
Bump. Anybody know?

Geez Kirik, you are a one-man show! Probably a break is well deserved. Are you sure you don't want to help out just a little for MacrossSon10, the biggest Con in 10 years? Even just being the Host/Judge?
Well, I'll pitch in to help next year if needed. I do a lot of tasks similar for work anyways; contacting suppliers, setting up meetings, keeping track of projects and so on. Just give me a PM or email.
Kirik, I agree with Ron. I too will make next years Con and be more than happy to help out. Just PM or email me. You work hard. So you should play hard next year.Agreed with these guys KiriK. As devoted as you are to the hobby, you have to admit it just isn't as much fun as enjoying the party when your responsible for what's going on at the party. I liken it to my DJ business. You see all the fun going on at the event, but you have to remember you are actually working. Just aint the same when you're just participating.
Lord willing and the creeks don't rise, I will make it next year and be willing to do what I can to help out. I could easily make it into town a day or so early to help with set up and what not.

I think that >EXO< videoed most of if not all of the transforming contest. I think he is planning to post it up somewhere after the comicon madness is over.
Yeah I saw him filming in many of the pictures. He posted that he's even got it in HD so that should be cool, but I believe he's attending the Comic Con like most. If the con conincides with Comic Con next year I can easily see making this a vacation date.

ello everybody. This was my first macross themed con and I love it! I can't wait for next year for the big 10th year anniversary. By the way, I'm the dude that won the Karaoke competition. Sorry for the horrifying sight of me dancing to Seikan Hikou, lol.
Welcome to the boards! Can't wait to see the footage. I hear you're mad man!

And the VT-1 1/60 v.2 will possibly be my last for this year with exception if Yamato will release the VF-1J Hikaru with GBP-1S combo pack or the Max VF-22.
Who are you kidding man??? You've got it bad like all the rest of us!!!
-
I assume most guys who attended the con are probably attending Comic Con and haven't been able to post video. Can't wait to see the karaoke footage everyone has been raving about!

A big thanks to ron5864 for picking up a few Flexi-Stands at this year's con and shipping them to me. Talk about wicked cool?
-
Haven't seen the series to know which Valks are in it. I can say this though, if they are made anything like the Fire Valkyrie or that Stealth thing I would most definitely pass. Can't stand cheap.

Takatoys still makes a nice 1/60 sticker sheet, but those included with the Valk are pretty decent. Much better than those included with the 1/48's.

I see now that I haven't been able to pull off some of the nicer poses because I never had a good mix of the stands. Thanks to Los' sponsoring the Con I think many of us will be testing our flexi-display posing skills!

I concur!
I think we should have MWcon 2010 at UCLA again! Good see you all there and the new people I met this year. Hope you all can make it next year!
Pics brah!

Alright...I'll load up more photos for Day 2 in an hour or so. I want to get some dinner first.
But I do want to thank EXO, Kirik and other Macrossworld staff for setting this up as well as Tim from UCLA Anime Club. This was definitely more epic than last year.
Now I must eat....
...panting like a dog in heat for pics

We should be hearing a winner of the customs' competition any moment now!

Same exclusives and it looks to me that they are going to be selling these and other items from the Online Shop at WF2009.
And on days 6-7 will be the items in the third row, but at limited numbers.
Cool. Thanks for clearing that up.

They're a Yamato Online exculsive for the 1/48s:

I remember the exclusive 1/48 decals, but figured with everything being produced in 1/60th scale that they had come out with a set for the new Valks. Does it say those are the same exsclusive decals for the 1/48's or is this something else?

About halfway down the page on the below link there appears to be a set of waterslide decals. Can anyone tell if they are 1/60 or 1/48 scale? Almost certain these will be available to Japan residents only, but if these are some sort of exclusives is there anyone here willing to purchase a few sets for members?

as I said above I have a video, but I and from the posts, it's seems like everyone was beat from the con and knocked out pretty quick and now we're ramping up for an even bigger day. Sunday has always been the main day for the con.
But I have it in glorious HD... I have a new camera and I still have to figure out how to offload video. It aint click and drag, tell you that much.
Ahh...didn't see the earlier post, so cool deal. Looking forward to seeing all the festivities in all their HD glory.

I gotta say I'm a huge fan of Maiden Japan. he transformation sequence (which quickly got crowded BTW... we should have projected it) is pretty incredible. I like it more than the MPC transformation... and if anyone knew me, they know how much I love the MPC Prime... which I consider the best toy ever made. And I'm not a Transformers fan, it just has all the right elements that a toy should have.
Anyway, the arms fold to the back and the grill remains the grill unlike in the MPC where there's 2 is very cool. It's funny that its impossible to have it transform just like the cartoon without making it look like the G1 toy. The size of it gave me an idea of how big the 1/2000 Macross would be, except the Macross is almost 1/3 the main gun, so this thing was even bigger if you measure both head to toe. DROOL!
Looks like everyone was in awe and forgot to take pics and video!

Anxiously awaiting the first reports of how the con is going...
