My favorite is the last one by blaine 23 version 4 (the last one on page 15 of this thead. #2 is Blaine 23's version 3 #3 is diaguard's v4. I really like the originality of diaguards but I like the mecha in blaine's versions a little more. Great designs one and all.

First, kudos to yamato for making what sounds like a great toy. A little expensive but it looks great and has great features. Now that bad. That has got to be the worst sculpt of millia that I have ever seen! Even those old robocrap figures looked better than that. I could make better than that. If I get one I'll probably take a scalple to make her have some posability. Also gotta fix her ass and chest too. Please let the yen drop soon. That way I can afford this toy.

Scratch that...just looked at the movie posters and they aren't that great. I like Diguard Ace's just above this post but there's gonna be a fold over one of the bridge crew's face.

Could you just use the original Movie posters. I think that would be really cool plus it would hold a little more nostalgia.

For anybody wonding about the quality of Rohby's recasts. They are utterly amazing. I have 5 of his recast Joke machines, like 3 of the sharpener recasts, and some other stuff. I've never seen recasts as strong as his. Got 3 of these hands on order. Amazing stuff rohby...keep'em comming.

Funny thing is that macek still promotes for HG. He's still always signing stuff and conventions and if you ever do a favor for HG (I'm still ashamed I did it) they send you this cheezy minmay postcard with maceks signature on it. I'm betting he's still got influence.

Oh... Bummer, I though it was fanmade. I wish they would make a SD version of DYRL with it. Then Dub it. Mecha designs would be different so they could release it here in the US.

I was looking through my hard drive and found this little short intro of macross. Only thing...it was super deformed. I'm sure many of you have seen it. Anyway I thought it was really well done and wanted to know who did it... I do have an underlying motive. Maybe we could talk this guy into animating all of DYRL like this. Would it be feasable.

Maybe try setting it up with kevin at valk exchange. It might look more reputable that way. Great idea though.

You might get some replies and props if you did something not done before. Like a great fan dub of DYRL or a fan dub of Macross zero (this would be easy since there would be nothing to compare it to. Or maybe macross 7 if your looking for a long project. Another good one would be to strip english sound bytes from Macross plus episodes and make a dub of the movie. Find some voices that are close for the new scenes in the movie. If you did a decent job I bet you'd have a good market here on macrossworld and ebay. Might even get you noticed by ADV.

Round off the fairing a little Ditch the passenger seat and chop the rear fender Paint it red Stitch a pill to your red moto jacket Go whoop on akira with laser.

It would be very easy to change that bike into kaneada's. Me WANT! too bad its made by Suzuki.

Bandai's rule. Nothing is built better. What might be delicate on it are the some of the fast pack armor pieces. Like the backpack piece or the leg clips. If your buying a reissue 1A avoid the DYRL white and red valk. I've yet to see one where the chest piece lock correctly in fighter mode. THe 1A cannon fodder is great! Have fun with your new toy.

One of the Best Buy stores here in AZ (the Mesa store on Alma School) usually puts their anime out two weeks early. The chandler one does the same. Just don't try to do a price match or they'll figure it out and won't sell it to you.

For those looking for all the available valks without getting 'S' on all the levels...find a friend who has. Just copy their save file to your memory card. That's what I've been doing for friends. We could just put a copy of it on macrossworld but most don't have the PSX2mediaplayer and broadband connection.

To bad Viz has the right to Inu Yasha. They don't do the best Job at making DVD's. Just look at all the recalls of the ranma series. I think 3 or 4 of the 7 Ranma boxsets had to be recalled. Then there's Viz's whole goofy release schedule and the fact that they only put like 3 episodes of any anime on a disk (DBZ, Ranma, Inu Yasha). Viz sucks!

Hey All, I just finished watching Dai Guard and it was great. I would call it underrated since it the type of series that you look at the box and say...cheezy mecha. Yea Dai Guard looks cheezy compared to macross but the series is a delight to watch. I like the concept of "Office workers saving the world." Everything is animated very well and the dub is very good although there are the usual differences b/w the dub and sub. To summerize it the story of a mech built cheaply to defend japan from the heterodyne who come to destroy Japan, and its pilots that nobody wants piloting it. I would call the story similiar to Evangelion but without the angst ridden teens, and religous undertones. Give it a try...it can be found at most blockbuster video stores for rental.

Saw it Monday night. I thought movie was awsome and my wife even liked it. And this comes from a dihard TOm Cruise hater. I can't stand the guy. I just imagined that it wasn't him in the movie. I give the movie an A+ even with him in it and all the inaccuracies. I would consider this better than Gladiator and braveheart. Spoiler.... x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x I'm not bothered so much by the fact that he didn't die in the end but rather that when he see's the emperor he's wearing his calvery uniform again. In my mind, By joining the samurai he would have abandon his oath to the calvery. another thing that bothered me was that they made that last charge...yeah it was dramatic but they just as well could have regrouped and attempted another suprise attack or sent a group to attack the cammand from the rear.
