Yeah... Faye after Spike would've been a no brainer to anyone familiar with the show and endowed with a modicum of common sense as to what sells; she's an even more popular character, for obvious reasons, than than the protagonist. Vicious and Julia should've come after, with Jet and Edward (with Ein) to finish out the cast.

Miata Is Always The Answer Congrats! I've had a 2000 since 05 and it has never failed to put a smile on my face with how obscenely fun these glorified go-carts are to throw around roads of all kinds... especially twisty ones. -
Well, Luna Park came through and -- squeaky wheel syndrome or not -- I just received my DX 1D copy today, but, although mine was shipped with the outer Tamashi box, I still got a bit DHLled with some minimal to minor corner damage. If items such as this are to be shipped without a dedicated shipping box and proper packing material, then I suggest that Luna Park take a page from Kitz Concept and look into using something like these plastic corner protectors: Overall, this damage is not outrageous and I can live with it as the goods inside are in pristine condition; certainly not enough to raise a stink and go through the headache to send it back for replacement or refund... And the toys are glorious!

Emailed Luna Park yesterday and got a response within hours assuring me that my DX was confirmed to be going out by Monday or Tuesday of this upcoming week; I intend to hold them to that promise. If nothing happens by Thursday, I'm demanding shipment or refund.

You're right, I should send them a strongly worded message ASAP, but I was trying to exercise some patience - no more. I did send them a message originally which prompted them to send me the tracking label BS email with their boilerplate excuse for their delay, but that was, as I've stated, 19 days ago. Thank you for the kick in the pants I needed... patience is for suckers! Either way, they have forever burned that bridge.

I'm sure I'll get some lame admonition about patience and the virtues of deferred gratification from an old Gene Wilder movie, but 19 days and counting since Luna Park sent me an email with tracking notification, which was to nothing more than a label being generated with DHL, and nothing, not even a courtesy message to keep me in the loop. I'm beginning to think that I will never see my copy and my money is gone, and I reenfacize my statement that this was my first and last dealings with this particular vendor.

MOSPEADA HORIZONT in 1/350?

176.00 Canadian Scheckels have been remitted. Now the wait for progress reports with copious amounts of Grubby-Fingers-Syndrome inducing pictures... -
8 days since Luna Park generated a shipping label with DHL and they still haven't handed my DX 1D for shipment, and no communication to update on the status of my purchase. This was the 1st time I ever placed an order with this seller, and it will most certainly be the last!

MOSPEADA HORIZONT in 1/350?
mechaninac replied to captain america's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Maybe make some accommodation for the addition of standard sized, say 1/4 x 1/16" cylindrical or 1/4" x 1/16" square - in pairs if possible, neodymium magnets to make the container pods routine detachable... it's something I plan to do regardless., but preexisting recesses would make things easier. Just a thought. -
Well, I'll be... it turns out, apparently, that my concerns were premature; after posting here, I sent Luna Park an email politely inquiring about a ballpark estimate on when my copy would be shipping, and I got a response within hours, and a subsequent email with tracking info confirming it is being shipped.

I still haven't received a peep from Luna Park, and I placed my order back in December... I'm beginning to get concerned that I'm SOL. 😟

Alright then, I stand corrected. Edit: It would've been cooler and more satisfying -- to me, anyway -- if it were, though.

I got the distinct impression that Boshi(?) wasn't just a Rankor, but THE Rankor, as Bib Fortuna and the gramorian guards were the ones retrieving the infant for Jaba, who put up the bounty for the rescue; in which case, it was a great nod and tie-in to RotJ.

That, and you make the money printers go brrrrrrrrt!!!!!..... Sadly, I don't think we've yet seen the extent of the price hikes coming our way. Many of the hobbies that help keep our collective sanity on the positive side of the ledger are about to get a whole lot more expensive.

That would be nice, but I wouldn't hold my breath; pre-ordering these things would certainly be less dramatic, stressful, and frustrating though.

Star Trek: Picard (CBS All-Access)
mechaninac replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Maybe the vast majority of the blast was facing away from Qo'noS, with the subspace shock-wave closing up to propagate in full force beyond the planet; what remained of Praxis acting as a shield protecting the Klingon home world from suffering the full brunt of the blow, but not enough to prevent the ozone layer from being stripped away... energy akin to a CME of gargantuan proportions or a nearly dead-on GRB inside of 500 light years. Admittedly, a very convenient set of circumstances to deliver the results shown and stated in the movie.- 2171 replies

Least repugnant is an apt description of it, and absolutely NOT worth the price of admission given that it still suffers from all the tiresome BS that passes for entertainment over the past 10 years or so, but there is no need to throw good money after bad or even torrent the dammed thing; it is available in near real time as the episodes are released, and archived thereafter right here. All SW animations can be found there too.
