  1. NOOOOOOOO! JBL. won the WWE title from Eddy last night at the Great American Bash! Screw this, i'm going entirely tee-total on Smackdown brand until they sort their $hit out. It's basically saying, 'Yeah come to the WWE, sexually abuse refs in the shower, make nazi salutes and get the world title for it!'. Hell, even if he didn't do any of that stuff, the guy just can't wrestle, work the mic or draw. Can't wait to see the buyrate for that one. For the love of god, the suckiness of that whole situation is too much to comprehend.
  2. Why the hell didn't you guys get the SF2 movie with the Anniversary Edition, us slackers in Europe did! (Albeit a slightly nastily compressed version, but I digress)
  3. By the looks of it, when Tifa got thrown against the wall, she kinda landed on all fours so to speak and thus appeared not to be harmed.
  4. AgentONE, how do you personally rate T3? Just curious
  5. Apparently Triple H's character, Jarko Grimwood, is meant to be quite the badass vampire bodyguard to a vampire she-bitch who is central to the plot. I just want to see Wesley Snipes turn HHH into Biscuit Boy #2 - That'll be worth the price of admission for me
  6. It's being directed by the guy who wrote the scripts for all three Blade films and the new Batman film - David Goyer, so it SHOULD be good
  7. Fan boy hatred to the MAX! Just click: Fanta news reports on the fan reaction to the license of One Piece by 4Kids
  8. Completely my bad. Totally forgot that Geneon had the license for it, so i'll take the link down, sorry guys dont wanna get Shawn or Graham in trouble.
  9. First off, we don't want any whiny, angsty, clean cut, happy-go-lucky or annoyingly loud pint sized samurai here, you need to be sharp, witty and hip, not to mention exceeding good with a katana too. Thats how different Samurai Champloo is from the current and indeed previous crop of samurai anime shows out there. Everything from the scratchy art style through to the hip DJ screeching of scene transitions and an inspired directorial style that most directors wouldn't even entertain, Samurai Champloo marks the newest wave of anime cool. I was going to post a review, but I figured that this was A7's review turf, so i'll leave those duties up to him!
  10. Just got round to watching Megazone 23 part 1 today and I must say, i'm quite happy with what I saw. Firstly, the story is quite compelling and interesting, let down only a smidge by a couple of vanilla characters, but the mecha action (what there is of it) is pretty cool too. I also really enjoyed picking out all the nods to different anime of the time like Mai's 'Dagger Of Kamui' bag, the SDF mug and the Jigen and Luplin lookalikes that chase Shogo down the streets later on in the episode. The video tranasfer also is far better looking than it has any right to be considering the age of the darn thing! Overall just quite happy with my purchase (box is nasty cardboard however - doesn't look too strong - like the funky lettering though) and just thought i'd chime in with my two cents about it!
  11. Weren't the previous episodes like 300mb+? Nasty video compression coming up methinks.
  12. Dammit I just can see it now what an ADV re-dub of DYRL would be like: Hikaru - Spike Spencer Minmay - Kira Vincent Davis Roy - Fred Patton Misa - Wendee Lee
  13. Well, as long as it doesn't happen to my Noir/Rahxephon/Megazone 23 or FMP! DVD's i'll be fine. If it does happen to them though, the beeyotches WILL pay!
  14. Just ordered Megazone 23 boxset today from ADV, never seen this anime before in my life but have followed the love/hate posts on MW for sometime now. Hope I made the right choice!
  15. In no small part due to Sean 'too cool to be British' Bean
  16. I personally don't like it all that much as it practically destroys the comic/mecha balance that existed so skillfully in the original series. What the second series basically is, is a full on goofy high school adventure as opposed to a pseudo-serious mecha title with lashings of humour. I think that fans of the first series might get put off from the first volume of Fumoffu? in relation to the first series. Still fans of goofy comedies and nothing but should jump right in!
  17. hmmmm... whaddya think? All piccies are from IGN's preview of the game.
  18. Did anyone catch Metal Gear Acid on PSP? An entirely NEW Metal Gear built for the PSP with an all new storyline. Best. MGS. Game. EVAR! Strange title. But I guess with 'Snake Eater' under their belts that's about par for them
