  1. Having played through every title in the Battle series and MAF I would have to strongly disagree. The only way it is substantially better other than the slightly larger maps is that you can just spam missiles constantly with little regard to the direction you are facing or your general alignment with your target but that's just my opinion. So hopefully if you can jettison the strike/fast packs you can also jettison the armor parts
  2. I could dig that. Some Fly Gundam would be appreciated too. The F-14 is a bit of a surprise. I wasn't too impressed with the way everything handled in fighter mode in MAF. It wasn't horrible but it left something to be desired IMO. Hopefully they've ironed it out a bit more and it feels more like Macross and less like controlling a MA or TMS in the Battle series. The campaign addition announcements are definitely awesome even if expected.
  3. I'm sure HLJ does what's best for them while semi accommodating their customers. It's probably a consequence of weight or sheer size of whatever ships raping people on shipping costs. The best thing to do is probably order only a couple valks per order since their cost puts them in the EMS category. Which is good because that's insured and has tracking. Order everything else in small amounts and weights so it goes SAL. When their are sales like this one though you might just have to take the shipping hit because of the good deals. Well if it still ends up being cheaper than if you bought it before the sale but yeah like you said Agent-GHQ their/that statement seems to contradict actual experience. Our shipping costs should be similar since we are in the same general geographic location though..
  4. This is were MAF already out shined the Battle series. Sure Gundam doesn't have that many songs with vocals to begin with but it would be nice to have some in the game(s) actually. Nothing like playing MAF to Fire Bomber vocals
  5. For games they are region free. For UMD movies however they are region locked to the same regions as DVDS.
  6. That seems a bit excessive considering the 1/48 are basically all plastic so weight should be somewhat low. I had an order that shipped in August of 2008 for 12,900 yen. It consisted of a Variable Action Ride Armor Mospeada Blowsperior Yellow, 1/48 Valkyrie Super Pack Parts Set, VF-1 Valkyrie Display Stand, 1/48 Armor Parts for VF-1 Valkyrie, VF-1A Angel Birds Ver and a ver 2 1/60 VF-1S Strike Valkyrie Roy Focker w/Super and Strike parts. Maybe the size of the SV-51 box is pushing it into a larger volume box?
  7. Basically this^ Expect them to plug away with additional titles with only slight improvements each time to make more money off of all of us. The Gundam battle series has come leaps and bound from were it started and even with all the units they have since the last installment there's still room for plenty more as the UMD is still under 1gig.
  8. In Action!! Offshoot Knight Mare Frame Burai Zero Custom 1 2,600 2,600 Super & Strike Parts for VF-1 1 2,850 2,850 Battle Suit Queadluun-Rau Maximilian Jenius 1 5,880 5,880 Destroid Defender 1 6,370 6,370 Merchandise Total: 17,700 Shipping Charge: 6,100 Total: 23,800 Nothing too extravagant really.
  9. My order shipped! EMS was like 60ish for 4 items total. On the subject of factory cases.. HLJ has shipped things to me in the past in their original case. I think the MSIA Big Zam was an example as I got the whole Bandai case of three. More recently though the only thing I get in manufacturer boxes are the trading figures and that's because they are sold by the case generally.
  10. Honestly I have the most fun playing as the Destroids in SDF Macross levels. Not that they're optimal for every level but the novelty value is high. Also the expansion Macross Ultimate Frontier has been announced for later this year. Get ready to waste more of your life away
  11. I see someone(s) in here has already received shipping notifications.. Funny enough I ordered several sale items before Blacklotus even made this thread and my order only just started "processing" On the EMS shipping side of things like mentioned before it's not only a weight/size thing but a cost issue. Any order over $200(?) automatically goers EMS. Last time I made a large order of a 1/48 valk, 1/48 amrour, 1/48 fast packs and a ver 2 VF-1S Roy the EMS cost was just a little over $100. It's kind of a let down that it costs so much but I've gotten an EMS shipment from HLJ in literally 2 days (obviously not standard) since I received the shipping notice which is a whole lot faster than SAL to say the least.
  12. The uncertainty of the availability of the 22 has forced me to pre-order just in case. I had hoped to wait for a Con to pick it up in person but I'm not going to go through some insane hunting if it turns out really limited just to get my "gamlin kick". Maybe if this sells well I'll get my M&M from Yamato too!
  13. I was under the impression that if you paired your PSP with your PS3 you could connect to someone on your friends list to play PSP games. Is this not the case? I've never tried personally because the only person I've played with I played with in person lol. I think I might have already posted these in the OG thread but here's some in game shots.
  14. Even though I don't expect any appreciation in value Ill be keeping my Ver 1s valks. Ill either pack them (which I've done with some already) or leave them in a different mode. Really while the new version is definitely an improvement the version 1 is a might bit sturdier especially in standing poses (which are of course limited lol) because of the die cast content.
  15. It makes a new folder under pictures for captures and places them all there. http://cwcheat.consoleworld.org/ is where I went before to get it.
  16. Having played VFX 1 and 2 I know what you guys mean. Pretty sharp colours but I doubt the 11 will get the treatment in terms of repaints the VF1 usually does. Yes, there's something about the 11 even though it's a jobber that's just charming. It's sort of the same feeling I have for the VF-1D I suppose. I am also disappointed with the tail fin situation but I expected it to be so after my experience with the 1/72 so it's not as much of a let down as it could be. Although I'm not sure why Yamato refuses to do some kind of work around when they most know the consumer has issue with it.
  17. I think there would be a lot of potential in a MAF/Super Dimensional Fortress Macross/Singstar hybrid but it would be a licensing nightmare I bet. I would try to stay away from Rockband's failure if you sing/play poorly though as that can be pretty frustrating since most people are tone deaf. I'm sure that there would be a CPU assist option for those playing single player so maybe the musical stuff could be a throw away to those more interested in action/itano.. Great now I'm psyched for something that will never happen
  18. You have to have custom firmware and then add CWcheat which is basically cheating software like old Action Replay/Game Genie/Game Shark/etc. This adds the option of enabled various features like screen shots and then mapping these to key(s). I have mine mapped to a combination of left trigger and select atm. You have to be careful though because this CAN potentially cause a lock up of the hardware on occasion when screen shotting a lot consecutively. This let's you take screen shots from anything on the screen though. The next thing is pulling video I guess which there is a way with a program and connecting to a computer with USB but I'm going to try seeing if you can just pull the replays somehow.
  19. Why won't you just listen to his song oh BTW *EDIT* (Looked into CW cheat)
  20. Nah, Kinyru survived that attack until he got blowed up in the explosion of some Varauta ship he blew up. Although I guess technically they disbanded the unit after the incident so I'm not sure if anyone survived the encounter unscathed so to speak. I like how someone is complaining about the "dull colours" on toysdaily. Does the colour bother anybody else? I'm not a huge stickler for details so not many small things bother me.
  21. I will patiently await this as well and if I feel especially gutsy just repaint a standard one. Not only is it awesome innuendo but you'd have to be some great pilots to pull off those colours...
  22. Although that is true most retailers use their own identification numbers instead of SKU's such as skin's/plu's/etc and then these various numbers may or may not have multiple SKU's all tied under them. I think you're close to right about the number of PSs but the PSone model that included the screen probably also had it's own model number and/or barcode. With Sony I'm pretty sure there is a model number listed under the barcode on all their systems that tells you what version/revision the hardware is if you do some research. This is probably somewhere on Nintendo and Microsoft's stuff too but I've never paid any attention. @Master Dex If you're really into import games just buy a PSP even if you have to wait a while. I find I play my PSP the most overall because of Gundam games alone but if this is hard to justify it doubles as a multimedia player if you're into that.
  23. CW cheat is one way I believe although I haven't tried doing this myself yet. This was also my experience.
  24. Katakana breakdown Controls (well controller ) コ ントロ-ラ save セ-ブ load ロ-ド network ネツトワ -ク Top menu トツプ メ ニュ- I've been playing a lot with my brother recently and I have to say the multiplayer is just a better experience than the Gundam series equivalent although the game itself can be horribly slow in comparison.
