My best guess is Tsuneo Imahori. He often works as the guitarist to Yoko Kanno. He's the composer of the OSTs of Trigun, Gungrave and Hajime no Ippo. You might remember him with those lengthy, intricate guitar solos in Ghost in the Shell:SAC. He rocks.

There are many reasons to like Sheryl. You'll have to admit that sex sells, I mean, there are other characters out there who haven't gotten that much airtime, but they have big boobies and that makes them popular. But Sheryl has both the body and the attitude, and as someone mentioned, she's professional and that rocks. Not to mention, she knows what she wants, she's not shy on guys (c'mon, guys like that right?) and she's pretty too (in the context of the animation of course).

There are at least 3 countries animating this thing and that's probably what's causing the inconsistencies. Hey, can't there be a Japanese Quality Auditor in the other countries, even just one for each country?! I also cringed at that shot of Sheryl, she's got skinny hips, and that's not how it looked before. Her breasts also look deflated. Or perhaps her head is just too big. Yes, that's it, the head is too big, it's almost past her shoulders. I mean, just look at the size of that head!

PROs: 1. The characters are adorable. 2. Music is good - the sales figures say something. 3. I'll have to say this again - It makes me feel like Escaflowne all over again, it feels nostalgic for some reason... I feel like a little kid. 4. 3D animation is amazing. Every person I showed this anime to says that the CGI looks really good. My only major CON: 1. Inconsistent character designs. Sometimes, the characters just look... odd. minor CONs: 1. Too many characters with big boobs (what's up with that?!). I can take it if Sheryl has big ones, she's a pop star, but the others? It looks like overkill. 2. Sheryl's hair makes me quesy when I see it, especially when it's colored blue. 3. Ranka looks and acts too young/naive, I can't imagine Alto and her getting together. I can't even imagine them kissing. *shudders* Please tell me she's not the other side of the love triangle.

Apart from the voice, I've always loved her better than Ranka. I didn't see why people said she was a snob - I saw her as a professional. Didn't mind that she's tired, pushed on even after she fell from the stage, didn't even want to leave the stage when told to do so.
