  1. That is pretty pricey, but there is no Fast Pack version for the YF-19 (even though many of us wish there was).
  2. Nice! I think I paid about $108 shipped from Japan to the US for mine. Congrats!
  3. Awesome work, Mervin! I will have to get a recast (if we are lucky enough to get one) and make one for my collection!
  4. Yeah - I saw that. I'd like another one, but not at that price!
  5. Nice catch! I know that many of us were really looking forward to getting at least some part of that collection! Congrats! (If you ever want to sell me that LV for close to what you paid........)
  6. Many of us love the MII mecha - too bad the Kawamori didn't like it, so we may never see any real merchandise. I think it would be well-received should Yamato decide to make some VF-2SS and VF-2JA toys. (Hint, hint!)

OT for minute, but LVLurker - I love that avatar! I'm not a big fan of the new LV2 or GBP-LV schemes, but the "Stealth" sure looks interesting. Too bad the GBP didn't come painted to match the 1J Stealth.
  8. Man, you have the "Luck of the Irish," Solscud! Nice catch!
  9. The gunpod is not on there (cause I didn't want to scratch the paint). I didn't forget it! *Edit - Spelling*
  10. Thanks for the compliment. I used Testors "Navy Agressor Grey" for the FP color. Now I just need to learn how to do a "wash." If anyone can give me instructions, I would very much appreciate it.
  11. Here are some fighter mode pics. (I couldn't get them all in the original post.)
  12. OK, so I didn't actually customize the Low Vis, but I did match up some Strike Parts for it! Let me know what you think. This was my first attempt at weathering anything and I did it by hand with a charcoal pencil and lots of time. It turned out OK for the 1st try, I think. Here are some Gerwalk pics (since they were requested). Fighter pics have been added towards the bottom of the page. Gerwalk Mode: Thanks for the feedback and compliments!
  13. Welcome to the club (and the addiction), Atreyu.
  14. Dat - thanks for the compliments! That means a lot coming from the the JM master! I used Testors "Armor Sand" spray and it holds up quite well to transformation (with a layer of Testors Flat clearcoat over the top). As for your work, I don't see the flaws that you mention! You are being too hard on yourself.
  15. I had done a few JM customs (1A Max, 1J Hikaru and VF-1A CF), but after seeing Dat's customs, I think I will be doing other work from now on.
  16. Hey guys! I needed some help and we have lots of experts here, so I just needed to get some advice on painting my 1/48 FPs to match my Low-Viz. What color should I use for a good match? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
  17. Nice! Even though Bobe-Patt is trying to get the most JMs, you are the JM master.
  18. Nice! I can tell you that I won't be entering any JMs for the custom contest this year since yours blow my winning entry (from last year) out of the water!
  19. No funny stories here. My wife is cool with the valks. In fact, her favorite color scheme is the VF-1D. Maybe that's because I was working on a custom 1/55 VF-1D while we were engaged.
  20. I agree with Graham, I like the VF-2JA and VF-2SS quite a bit. I didn't care for Mac2 (the anime) as much as I would have liked, but the mecha kicked major tail!
  21. I would be interested, but it depends on the price. Let us know when you have more details/info!
  22. Man, if I had money (and a VF-1D conversion kit), I'd be askign you to do the job! Great work, as usual!!
