    Got my money back from NY because those jackasses haven't mastered the art of putting stuff in a box and then slapping a shipping label on it, and used the money to get it from Amazon instead. So, many months later, I finally have the first and only Macross HMR of 2020.

    English is generally seen as more elegant than their native language, so you see it on tons of stuff in Japan. I think it's a rather juvenile perspective (from personal experience) but whaddya gonna do?

    The leg issue was already fixed on the first 0S release. Why would they revert back to the previous faulty design?

    When I said Frontier, I mean the main Frontier valks, not the subsequent video game variants that were super easy to get cheap even secondhand. The real bloodbath was for valks like this:

    I hope it sells well and Arcadia revisits the 0S with the same treatment. I guess it would have to be called Ultra Premium Finish since there's already a PF?

    Some of them are so arcane and difficult to read that it makes me wonder if I'm actually a robot. Preorders are actually easier now than they were for Frontier toys. However, they've been exacerbated as of late by the truly shi**y websites of HLJ, Amiami, etc. Back then, every single preorder on every single site would open and get sold out in a 30 second window and many resorted to paying NY's scalper mark up. Taking 30 minutes to slowly make your way through Amiami's slow AF website to finally finish checking out was something we wish we had back then.

    I've managed a few over the years. But no recent 1/48s. Although preorders during the Frontier era were even worse than today. Here's a couple of successful orders.

    I wouldn't bother checking Mandarake on PO day. They're a secondhand shop and their prices are dictated by the demand for and rarity of the item. You won't see the latest release on their site for a day or two at the absolute earliest.

    But they'll more than make up the difference by gouging you on shipping. And possibly not ship it for several months.

    I think the it looks great. The imperfections in the panel work give it some extra depth and grit to its appearance.
