Damn this came out of nowhere. Managed to get the ones from Amazon, but everyone is gouging on Iron Man and Thanos. This is probably going to be the biggest movie of the decade and Bandai is still pulling their limited quantities crap like it's a Macross release.

Those clear parts do look nice! Maybe I should pick up a set...

Fixed up my HMR VF-4. She looked a bit plain out of the box. One of my favorite fighter modes of any valkyrie. The HMR can angle its wings down a bit for the proper look.

Like whatever you want. It's still incorrect wing alignment for the VF-4. Not that I care; it's the questionable QC that annoys me. Paint blemishes, glue and sticky residue all over the VF-4. Nothing like having to sand out a fingerprint hardened in super glue.

Not on the VF-4. Have you flown on a commercial airliner before? Those wings are definitely not flat. Many aircraft wings are not perfectly flat.

Looks fantastic guys! Yeah, 3 out of the 4 units I got had paint blemishes on the nose. They're real eye sores. Shoddy paint and tampo is a hallmark of Bandai, it seems. The one good unit is currently sitting in a pile of parts.

Just go to Amazon and search for decal paper. Be sure to get the proper type for your printer. They vary in quality so no guarantees they'll all work well.

I'll get around to Macross 7 after I finish SDF. If I finish... Grats Saburo! Though I thought you finished your Frontier collection ages ago.

Ohhh I would love to see your 1/48 1D when it's completed! Because I kind of do at this point. I've been stockpiling decals for years. I've been pilfering them from old model kits, picking up grey market decals off ebay, scanning Yamato sticker sheets and reprinting them on decal paper, and picking up generic all-purpose decals. I keep them in a bunch of different folders. This is just some of them: Not yet, but I will be doing just that if I ever get around to valks like Emerald Force. I simply don't have many suitable decals for some valks. LOL it's just a piece of PVC draped over a desk. Believe it or not, the 1D and Regult are less than two feet apart. It's the magic of forced perspective! Though I did have to place the Regult on a platform to appear taller.

Had time to dig out the option parts for the VF-1D and take some pics. I have to say, I really love the orange; this has quickly become my favorite valkyrie that I've touched up. Now I want some orange popsicles... Battroid pics This marks the first time I've actually used the option part seats. Our hero, folks!

One of my copies has dried glue residue on the fuselage from a sloppy worker who didn't wash his hands properly. I don't need four so maybe I'll sell it discounted.

Opened up my VF-4. She looks great! But why are the UN Spacy kite, intake markings, and stabilizer stripes painted brown instead of red? Makes this VF-4 look like the evil Lightning, like the evil Superman from Superman III.

It does say MEGAROAD-01 on the lower stabilizer, so it's Hikaru's ride. So no qualms about removing it. According to Hasegawa instructions, they say ASUKA. Don't have access to the actual show atm.

Thanks for the input! If there's no canonical reference to it with regards to FB2012, then I'll go ahead and strip it off and replace it with SDF-2. Interesting stuff. But it's 018, not 118. Could be the 18th VF-4 to enter service, but there's no reference to it anywhere in the animation or books, according to our resident lore masters.

NY is way more reliable than Nin-Nin.

Did anyone ever figure out what SDF-018 refers to? It's also on the Yamato sticker sheet so it's not something Bandai just pulled out of their ***.
