    This episode was no where near as bad as some people are making it out to be. Go watch season 2 of either Infinite Stratos or Psycho Pass and after that every anime seems much better by comparison. The moment with Hayate and Freyja looking over the letters was really sweet. I did find the NUNS blowing themselves up kind of funny. I'm just going to enjoy the rest of the ride. It's a shame Kawamori was not doing the storyboards for the entire series. The flight school / air show competition pitch for macross could have been neat in the right hands.

    I thought the show was fine for what it was. I think it felt more like a long movie rather than a TV series. I'm not quite sure what "anime stereotypes" people are referring to. Are there specific shows that invoke the way Kabaneri handled their characters? I don't remember seeing any training montages, or fighting with the power of friendship, or girls running with toast in their mouths, or guys falling on girl's boobs. The show looks similar to AoT, but the show does not go in the same direction as titan. I do wish studio WIT could have got rid of Biba and focused more on the survival aspect of the show. I could have also done without the super powered zombies that shot lasers out of their mouth. Studio WIT also has some of the worst still frames I have ever seen. The speed lines and odd color choices in those still frames crack me up. I would have preferred to pan across some scenery then to do what they did.

    I'll wait for the official announcement from takara for MP megs before passing judgement on these leaked photos. I love the quality that Maketoys delivers (most of the time), so I'm going for their Despotron. I love the bulky proportions and dynamic anime robot proportions.

    Giant is one of the most solid 3rd party combiners out there. At least on mine his ratchets on the hips and knees are rock solid and support any pose. His ball joint ankles could be a snug tighter, but not too bad. Takara's Devy can be my psuedo masterpiece and Giant can go with the other smaller unite warrior guys.

    Not that I don't believe you are anything. but can I get a confirmation on the "intended 13 episodes long" portion of the liner notes? I find this information pretty interesting and it would explain a lot about what we are currently getting in the 2nd half.

    Do you perhaps have a screencap of the 31 with the rear landing gear down from the show? I don't even remember the rear landing gear in the anime looking particularly detailed or flattering. Wait Never mind, I found one: Hmmm, Bandai could have put a bit more detail in there, but it doesn't look better or worse than their other recent attempts at landing gear.

    It probably would have been easier for ToyNK just to cancel all orders than to go through the headache of all of the returns.

    I think Bandai's VF-19 Advanced matches the prototype pretty well. I believe all of the markings made it to the final production run and boy howdy there's a crap ton of tampo printing on that valkyrie.

    Let's not drag gundam into this. But MS08th team was the far superior product. I really don't like how Delta's 2nd half feels like IBO's boring meandering in space. I just hope by the time Delta ends, it has a large effect on the macross universe as whole. I don't want Xaos just to take back Ragna, defeat the windemeres and call it a day.

    I still have the blue bandai metal composite figure of the Zeta Plus from some odd years ago. It was an ambitious release and I could only imagine what they would charge for it if they released it today.

    I agree, you should all do yourselves a favor and buy the excellent Riobot Sahelanthropus for that amazing price. Surprisingly balanced toy with such small feet. Captures the game likeness to a tee.
