don't know if it was mentioned.  but since mykombini pre-orders are seemingly being fulfilled, i checked out the roy listing.  it's live and at a decent price:

    https://mykombini.com/en/november-2020/19204-dx-chogokin-first-press-limited-edition-vf-1s-valkyrie-roy-focker-special-the-super-dimension-fortress-macross-bandai-spirits-4573102605023.html?search_query=macross+dx&results=121

When 10k yen more is considered decent.......

  2. But before these 2 sets, I always remember them selling all their dx stuff at a slight mark up to msrp, I guess they are going the way of other shops? That said, does amiami or hlj also do this, I know cdjapan have soem that are inflated but those are labelled as proxy items

Has anyone else tried the adapter that was available on Thingiverse?

I just couldn't remember if the Tread's nose was supposed to be folded down or not

Why does that look like the thread is motorboating the legioss

  4. Interestingly, when the SSP 1st came out, I did suggest that there might be detail under the leg booster panels but was shot down, it is nice that some one actually did try it and succeed, I was too chicken to try it myself back then, but I had a hunch.

Yes the pilots for the movie versions are a bit chunkier and look and fit way better in the cockpit. I'm hoping they fix the tiny pilot issue for the TV versions.. they look like they took them from the 1/60 toys..

I mean compared to the hikkie pilot in the VF-1S, I was wondering if they used the same mold or they actually made an effort to make him chunkier, just curious thats all, since they made a difference between TV Roy n the rest of the TV pilots

Honestly saying @DewPoint, I can say that this lull is actually helping me to pick and choose what to collect next as I don't have a ton of space (unlike some collectors here) and also my cat is keeping me occupied at the moment as I can play with her more often.

I did spoil her to a degree as I let her sleep on my bed and on my computer chair as well.

You don’t keep cats, cats keep you :p I have 2 masters

    Bzzzztttt!!!

    Strike one for you @Guyffon

During the pre-order madness, there was one member here that got a TV Roy for below MRSP for 17k yen: It's @Slave IV (and @crackpot's main nemesis)!

See post July 2nd, page 473 near halfway down the page.  Start reading pg. 470 and see the @*#1 show unfolding afterwards.

Haha oh well, I was watching those pages and for me it went from coming soon to the new price in one refresh, I guess you 3 (or more) have very fast refresh.

On a side note, I just went to a local shop in Singapore and lo and behold, they have 2 sets of SSP movie versions for sgd$220 and 3 new sets of hmr vf-4G, don’t know if they do overseas shipping though, shame that I do not need them as I already have my own set of either

Nin-Nin's first PO round for Roy was slightly below MSRP, then they released more for PO over several additional rounds at steadily increasing prices. I think it topped out at $350 by the end of that first night, so at least they haven't gone higher than 200%. I'm assuming, as many here are assuming, that a lucky few might snag Roy after release at close to retail, but otherwise the price is going to quickly reach Hikaru 1J levels....

I don’t think anyone got those below msrp, it was at that price with coming soon tag, the moment it opened, it was above msrp, unless it all happened very quickly.

No one has suggested that anyone goes without. Not even a little.

You're railing against an imaginary demon.

I really doubt any one retailer has enough units to sell to every member here, thus the 1 per unit rule is fair, not everyone wants multiple, and if some one wants multiple don’t you think its fair they find the other copies the hard way instead of denying some one else at least 1 copy? If a said retailer has more stock on release day, then I think they can release it to anyone whom already bought one, so much so that they can even sell their excess stock to one guy and I don’t think anyone will cry foul.

I have been thur enough  pre order disappointments to know that the demons are real.

Man those Tomahawks look janky, especially the center and 2nd from the left.

Kakazaki pre orders were easy because it was a web exclusive and not exactly the most popular valk.

Your lesson will unfortunately not work a lot of the time. PO's on other DX VF-1's have been slaughterhouses with a buy window of only a few seconds.

You will be lucky to get a few seconds, some go from coming soon to sold out in one refresh

  12. I think I figured how to get the parts, because he did swap some parts out, thus there are parts that i actually did not need if I just want the armor upgrade. Also you have to add sets you own, and then click on the build this moc button, then a more precised list of parts is generated that you will need, and you will be able to export those parts to buy in various shops. I guess I need to really try to understand this website to use it better
