They said they should have some more info towards the end of the year. Hopefully we will see a new TV accurate sculpt....Crossing fingers!
Will I be able to touch that one?

What I hated about it back in the day was that I wanted it to be like the initial minicomics (Magic Stealer etc) and it was just a censored kiddy toon.
Even with Transformers and GI Joe, I found myself vastly preferring the character bios given on the cards or in the back of the comics. The Who's Who of the Marvel comic run was fabulous because they presented fully fleshed-out characters, and not just the quick caricatures given in the 22 minute episodes. That initial Marvel comic entry is what made me fall in love with the character of Starscream, despite the fact that none of the screen adaptations have done that well.

I wasn't expecting a masterpiece. Pretty much got out of it what I expected. So, overall, I really enjoyed it.
Indeed. Monsters were good. Fights were good. Humans weren't absolutely terrible. So not bad.
Plus I still love that clip from the first trailer, with Kong just wholloping Big G with that right haymaker. 😁

One of the better HISHE. Doesn't top the Predator one, though.

As long as they don't mess with any of the sound effects or music. Don't mess with the best parts!

Or enough customer sales. No hovercraft required for the Spartas, so a bit less sculpting and more engineering tweaking. I'm also thinking that because it's a hero mecha, that it may be a bit more popular. Maybe.
I've been saving this for a very special moment, and I think my time has come. There is but one expression that could possibly convey my deepest wishes:
"Pweeeeeeeeeeave?"

Dare I hope for a classic Battlecat vs Panthor encounter somewhere along the way?
At our local con, my brother had one of the artists do up a cutsey image of a younger Battlecat, and thus Battlekitten was christened.
I have been racking my brain for over a year to come up with a concept as cute and simple as that, but nothing so far!

Surprisingly, it also works-out for the Rowboat-Tech fans in that each generation of mecha is progressively smaller than the previous.
This is one of my favourite RT facts. I don't know why, but it just tickles my fancy

Hey, at least MEPToys has a Spartas in the works
I want. I know it's limited by the odd transformation, but I want it.

In Robotech universe the Bioroid would go up to about the hips on the Alpha. Cap recalculates scale based on the show rather than measurements that often don't agree with what's depicted. His Alpha would be much taller than the Sentinel.
Hmm. This leaves me with only one option: pester the Cap'n to make more mecha in his consistent scale, so they're all accurate to each other
-
Hmm. I always thought the Bioroids and Hovertanks were smaller than the Alpha/Legioss?

Cartoons in the 80's really had some of the coolest openings. A little bait and switch with the animation since that was often so much better than the cartoon themselves.
At least, that's what my nostalgia-vision tells me.
-b.
Your nostalgia-vision is correct, at least as far as Visionaries goes. The dropoff in animation quality from the opening to the first three episodes to the ones that followed was quite dramatic.

TALLY-HAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!
The Silverhawks opening is one of the best of the 80s. Right up there with Visionaries, but I at least enjoyed Visionaries the show

Cool! Thanks for the pic!
If I were in your shoes, I would try out some cheap Bandai Destroid kits (Hobbylink Japan recently got restocked!) from the eighties, and then after a few tries I would dive into the Bioroid!
I can't find any on HLJ's website. The E2406 site had some interesting resin kits, but they're only taking preorders now and I don't like doing that.
-
I know, I know, I know. I know I should practice a lot, but I also run into the risk of never actually doing the Bioroid kit because "I still need more practice".
And here's the box I received. Loved the signature, btw, Cap'n!

Psst! Hovertanks!

There are a vast array of YouTube videos illustrating basic modeling techniques for a wide variety of projects. I recommend you do some online research before tackling a Moscato Hobby kit.
Yeah, I should probably do that.
Ooooor just wing it, and explain any deficiencies away as battle damage and/or frankenmecha from the Invid Invasion

Use the same grits as you would doing plastic. I don’t do resin stuff often, but it’s similar enough to standard model plastic. There may be thicker areas at the gates that may require a bit more work, but that shouldn’t change the basic sanding
I don't have any modelling supplies at all. This will be my first kit build in a frighteningly long time. 100-ish grit?

I'm intrigued by this, but I have to admit that the Miniseries Baron has been the best Baron so far. I really hope this new Baron is more like him than like the Lynch version.
