I would just say why bother? He obviously has no interest in doing this for us. I would just suggest waiting for a recast to come out if we ever get our order in. It is quickly approaching one year since we started talking about this group order.

I don't think the picture has anythng to do with the new model coming out.

Sorry, by bad. Replied late after getting off of work last night.

Do you mean "Iron Maiden"?

Nothing has happened to that project for a very long time. I ran into a design problem involving the air brake and heat shield. Untill I finnish the Discovery project I will not be getting back to the Valkyrie. And when I do I am starting over. There are a few details that I need to change and I will be working with vacuum formed styrene shells instead of the epoxie ones. They were just too damn brittle.

Here is a link to my project. http://home.comcast.net/~cobywan/Templates/VF.htm There are some really great referencesout there. I probably spent well over $1000 getting them off of Ebay. Use Google and check thier images tab. It is very usefull.

Don't forget about the cost of transporting Destroids to a combat zone. That required the Daedalus landing ship. That is much slower than having your mecha fly directly to the site.

Not a problem. This gives me a good reason for having held on to them for almost twenty years. I'll try to remember to send them tonight.

I have read the term "VTOL" used to describe this format.

It is a non functional concept model. Doesn't work, and won't be built.

I can scan my instructions.

He looks like Eric Forman from "That Seventies Show".

Resin kits are better than styrene because the process in casting allows for serious detail and undercuts to be put into one part. If you ever got a decent resin kit you wouldn't have made this post. Just be carefull of the crap kits that are out there.

I just attatched mine to my VF-1S and the only problem I have is that the pegs on the legs won't fit snug into the holes in the fastpack arm unit. I noticed tin the instructions that the arm unit hole is a round circular shape but the final producton unit I got has a "U" shaped hole. Has anyone else had this problem. The problem this has caused me is that the arms drop down every time I pick it up. I may look into reducing the hole diameter with glue or something.

Shameless plug. http://home.comcast.net/~cobywan/Templates/VF.htm

Not old enough to remember the show correctly. You may be confusing some scenes from Galactica 1980 in with the original show.

The Jagd you described id 1/100th scale. I have the Volks Twin Tower kit at home. It took me 6 weeks to clean the resin parts. I haven't touched it since. The Wave 1/100th scale kits are of the older style of kits. The Wave 1/144th scale LED and KOG are really great though. They are almost Bandai quality. Maybe they are a little better than Bandai actually.

Volume 11 came out around June or July or earlier. There are new installments in Newtype right now.

I've been here from day one of the message boards and can tell you that this is the first time I have heard Toynami named in the mess. I think Shawn needs to try and get an official account from John and put it in the FAQ.

I'm the biggest FSS fan here. My friend Masaki from Japan tells me that including his friends in Japan I am the biggest fan he knows besides himself. <_< We'll have to work on that. Here is the Mortar Headd section of my website; http://home.comcast.net/~cobywan/Templates/MH.htm I have quite the FSS collection going on. I have around 75 resin kits and all of the Characters books. I even got my hands on a Mirage Knght piggy bank! I have most of the poster inserts from Newtype but some of them just don't come up on Ebay. I have the four CD albums Nagano recorded for FSS. (There is some really wierd stuff in there.) I currently have all of the Japanese bound volumes and the Chinise versions. I have all the issues of Tales of Joker minus four. And I have all the English volumes too. I still need to track down a couple of the really nice Nagano calendars. I will have to take a phop of my FSS collection and post them. And I couldn't disagree with anything more than saying that the legs of a MH are awful. Some people just don;t have any taste.

What is the significance of human skull in aliens?
cobywan replied to NERV's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I personally proscribe to the original senario where the creature in Alien was turning the victims into eggs. It is a very nice circular lifecycle. Although it requires two victims per Alien. Anything else is conjecture. I was a huge fan when there was little to nothing known about the Alien. The comics delved into thier home world ecosystem and I just thought that leaving it a mystery was better. For all we know they were engineered creatures. I figured for the creature to mature so fast and have a "glass" exoskeleton, it wouldn't subside on organic material. I figured they used the host for warmth. If you think about it too much it becomes quite rediculous. -

I always attributed the midding dome to age. The Aliens on Hadley's Hope were weeks or a month old where the one in Alien was a day or two tops. -

You have that all backwards! Alien 3 was a more moody suspenseful film than Resurection. (David Fincher is almost as good as Ridley Scott.) Resurection was way over the top however. Everything Resurection did with the Ripley character was awesome. Everything it did with the Aliens was $*!+. The suits for Alien 3 and 4 were dome by Amalgamated Dynamics. They were founded by two Stan Winston Studios employees. Alec Guilles and Tom Woodruff I believe. They are the ones that are slated to work on AvP. They are not going to be the downfall of the AvP film. The director is. -
If it is covenient I try to be. I currently have all the Hasegawa kits minus two of the clear ones. I still have all of my old kits from highschool that I bought when you had to mail order them from small importers. Ebay has been very helpfull in filling out my collection.
