I'm quite proud if it, it appears to be even better QC-wise than my Lancer Alpha, and I thought that one was pretty good. It seems that what they say about the Shadow Alphas is true, that they were the best of the MPC Alpha series. -Kyp

I'm excited about them all. But I must admit, I am kinda glad about the Roy 1S coming out first. That way, I'll have his 1S to display next to my VF-0S. -Kyp

Quoted for 100% truth. I thought the exact same thing you said in regards to the shoulders needing a slot for the extra long tail fins to slide into when hooked up with the Tread. They could have easily done it, why didn't they? 1. Intake vents too small. 2. Pinocchio nose...WTF's up with that? 3. Knee caps that stick out from underneath the wings in fighter mode....if it wasn't for this, I would almost consider buying a set...almost. 4. Questionable hook up to Tread...don't know if the feet of the Armo fighter are supposed to be that way when hooked up or not. But yet they did something not even Yamato has done....EVERY marking is printed on there...no need for ANY decals....They F' up so much and yet they did the one thing that Yamato has yet to do...it's frustrating as HELL, Goddamn it!!! -Kyp

More MPC Shadow Alpha goodness : I need to get two more of these to display them in Battroid and Guardian modes. (And yes, I used Robotech terminology...this is a Robotech product, so I'm well within my rights. ) -Kyp

I wish they would too....and transform it right so we would know once and for all if those knee caps really do stick that far out in fighter mode. -Kyp

I got mine from Jasonc here on the forums. He checks his to make sure they aren't messed up from the factory. Now keep in mind that while with some pushing in here and there that mine locks in perfectly in fighter mode and appears to have minimal, if any QC issues, I have not transformed mine. And the reason I haven't nor will I ever, is I want to keep this in mint condition because It came with everything mint in the box for $48.61 shipped in the U.S. and I am keeping it this way on display because I am treating this as a collector's item. The claw hands are MUCH nicer than the hands on my Lancer Alpha. Shoot Jasonc a PM and see if he has any more, but I think the Shadow fighter is the best of them. Here's some quick pics : -Kyp

Unless someone can show me that those knee caps don't stick out from underneath the wings in single fighter mode (In the pic with the Blue Armo-Fighter), I'm not going to have to worry about doing anything like that at all. I'll just stick with my awesome MPC Shadow Fighter and wait for a MPC Sue Graham Shadow Beta to come out. I would ALMOST consider this if it weren't for the knee caps sticking out like that now that I know that the arms can be properly spaced out in fighter mode. Because that was what killed it for me the first time...and then I saw those Goddamned knee caps. -Kyp

Well, I see the arms do indeed space out to the proper width...that makes the fighter mode look MUCH better indeed. But the knee caps almost sticking out from underneath the wings totally kills it for me.... :-\ -Kyp

Oh...Oh GOD....you poor, poor bastard... Are you sure you shouldn't see a crisis counselor for the brutal anal raping that you took at the hands of Aoshima/Toynami? I mean, I know you said you weren't expecting it to be a good toy, but that's like being raped and saying "It's OK, I knew it was going to be a horrible experience beforehand." I got an awesome MPC Shadow fighter from Jasonc here in mint condition with everything even the white outer box for $48.61 shipped. After seeing those pics, I feel like I had an Angel looking over my shoulders when I went to him to buy it. (He opens all his up to make sure they aren't crappy, BTW) He told me he may offer a few more here soon, shoot him a PM. I know that he doesn't have any of the MPC Blue Alphas though...but then again, after your experience, I wouldn't blame you for never wanting another one, PERIOD.

Well let's see, it's perfect transformation, has all the 1/48 gimmicks with the exception of the removable nose cone and movable wing flaps. Secondly, it looks far, far better than the original 1/60 VF1 series in all 3 modes, and finally, it has something that even the 1/48's never had nor ever will : It's been engineered from the start for two seater variants. Which means that we will finally have a perfect transformation 1/60 line with all the important 1/48 line improvements that will be in scale with the newer 1/60 Mac 0 and Mac+ Valks. I'd say the $20 price hike is more than justified, but that's just me. -Kyp

Make DAMN sure that it's not a Yamato 1/60 you're looking at before you buy. If it doesn't say 1/48 scale on the box, it's NOT a 1/48 you're looking at. -Kyp

That is awesome news! This news should also bode well for the new VF-1 1/60 as well. Makes me glad that I pre-ordered this awesome Valk. -Kyp

Mine is MUCH better than my first VF-0S that I had. It's as good as it will ever get. It should noted that on mine that the replacement pieces for the fuel tanks where the micro missile pods and ghost booster attach make the fuselage section even stiffer. This seems to be because it reduces the movement of the battroid chest piece when locked into place in fighter mode. -Kyp

Well, you do know that the VF-11 is more than likely getting made after the YF-21, right. So that's one of your Valks that will be made. Yeah, I would like to see every cannon Valk get made, but that's probably not gonna happen, sadly. -Kyp
