Wow...definitely waiting for a V2 YF-19 now. -Kyp

If you think the USD is weak now, just wait, it will continue to get weaker until it finally gets dropped globally as a reserve currency. On topic, I can't wait for the "F" variant to come out, I hope Yamato is planning to release this in a more realistic, real world paint scheme. -Kyp

We should have seen something about an Ozma version by now. -Kyp

New Star Trek series in the works?

I'll have to agree to disagree with you there. Until that atrocity reared it's ugly head, the Galaxy class Enterprise was my least favorite design by far. -Kyp -
New Star Trek series in the works?

I hate what JJ did with the series, if I have to endure more of that crap, I'd rather Star Trek die and stay dead. -Kyp -
That is also what I am hoping for. -Kyp

I'm very curious, how high can you get the legs to sit up in fighter mode if you were to glue them into place? Someone here has got to have done that with one of theirs by now. If so, please post a pic. Never mind, I forgot that I've already seen a picture of it a long while back, they don't sit high up enough for me. -Kyp

To be honest, it's a little disconcerting to see them release the 1/60 YF-29 and Alto's VF-25F like they did with the 1/100 models that apparently have no intention of releasing any of the other Macross F fighters in the 1/100 scale. At first, I wasn't worried, but the similarities, now that I think about it, are kind of disturbing. If I remember right, during the first release of the 1/60's, we were already seeing or hearing abuot Ozma's fighter before Alto's had even come out. If Bandai doesn't take advantage and milk the mold, I'm going to be really pissed off. -Kyp

I recommend against using any kind of flat or clear coat on a model you plan on transforming or handling. For me at least, that stuff becomes tacky and rubs off when handling. -Kyp

Does anybody know if they're going to come out with Ozma's next? -Kyp

Goodbye space shuttle, hello space capsules...making it look like we went backwards 40 years tech wise. -Kyp

It that last picture posted it sure seems that way, but this is Bandai we're talking about, so I'm not holding my breath. I'm tempted to pre-order another one, but I think I'll get two of the Ozma's instead. -Kyp

Right. -Kyp

Add a little bit of paint here and there and some decals, and you'd have an easy real world Grey colored VF-1. -Kyp

Hopefully, Ozma will be next. I think the reason they're going with Alto first this time around is due to the new Frontier movie. -Kyp

I have a feeling these are gonna sell very, very well. -Kyp

I used a Grey Gundam marker for the panel lines. -Kyp

I'm pretty sure they never intended this model to be anything other than a "In flight" display model. I do agree with you about the water slide decals, that's total B.S.. -Kyp

I didn't use the stickers for the head, I painted that part Red, believe me, using the stickers for that section looks like crap, you're better off painting that part Red and be done with it. -Kyp

I'm well aware of all the above options, but in my experience, the translations tend to make little sense, and any information gained is basic at best. -Kyp

Well, that certainly explains a lot, thanks for telling us non Japanese speaking folks the jist of the interview. -Kyp

It takes quite a bit of effort, let me tell you, but the results are worth it. The Black on the sides of the fuselage, were masked off and spray painted Flat Black. It actually looks MUCH better in person, my camera picks up even the slightest imperfections. In the third pic, you can see the intake fan section, I was quite proud of being able to paint that and not go outside. You need a really fine artist's brush, and steady hands. I did most of build this Friday, I had the energy, and decided to get most of it done before I had to go to work that evening. I haven't got all the decals put on, when I do, I will take final pictures, but I'm pretty damned proud of the way it turned out. Now...WHERE THE HELL IS MY 1/100 OZMA, Bandai?! -Kyp

I won't be doing the pilot, I had a hard enough time with the 1/72 Ozma pilot as is...this is simply too small for me. But, I will paint the interior Grey, at least...or I might just do like others have and spray paint the underside of the canopy silver and just paint the canopy frame and be done with it. Also, the black stickers that go on each sides of the fuselage, I may just leave off. I've seen build ups and it looks like the stickers won't lay flat enough to suit me. I also don't trust my ability to mask that section off and spray paint it black, either. It's a dilemma I wouldn't have had to face, had Bandai been smart enough to INCLUDE WATER SLIDE DECALS in the first place! Idiots! I'll probably start my build up this Sunday. -Kyp
