  1. An obscure OVA from 1986 called Cosmos Pink Shock, found on the website Nico Nico Douga: Cosmos Pink Shock - Part 1 Cosmos Pink Shock - Part 2 Nico Nico Nouga requires registration to watch it's exclusives video and therefore I've provided a link to a guide below. Follow the instructions and check your email account to click the confirmation link (check Junk Mail folders if your account is Hotmail). Once your logged in you won't need to any of this again. How to Register an Account to Watch Videos Although in raw Japanese, this is a very action orientated show with lots of smart visual jokes makign it easier to follow than most other shows in this format. I hope to review this on my site soon, it will be geting a Grade: A+. If you find any rare 80's and early 90's OVA's then please feel free to post them in this thread.

  3. The original R2 Japanese dvd boxset for Orguss is in mono which is how the soundtrack was originally created according to internet sources. Anyone with the LD's or R2's want to verify? Also don't let the exgerated, slighlty anal, AOD reviews put you off, the video quality is awesome and miles better than those ILA fansubs based off the HK bootlegs.
  4. They are defintly doing their own remastering since they are creating a brand new, fresh print from scratch so they don't need Harmony's Golds old and tired masters to work from. I'm sure someone will post screencaps when it's released and we can see the differences for ourselves.
  5. Yeah it this is great news, the only thing better would be a US release. I can't wait to see what extras they put out on the deluxe edition. How about that TV special from the other thread?
  6. This is just a deluxe dvd version of DYRL using the High Definition masters they've made. Apparently BV havn't announced any plans to port it over to HD or Blu-Ray so we can actually watch it in High Definition.
  7. Yeah they could so a special international version like they did with the changing the Japanese Gunbuster boxset to region 1. Though if they did this with DYRL, they would need to include subtitles to get my purchase. To be honest, as good as an alternatvie this could be, DYRL really needs to be in the US distribution channels otherwise too many would miss out on buying this awesome classic.
  8. Fantastic news! I hope we eventually get a HD re-release of Macross Flashback too. I pray Bandai Visual can bring over DYRL to the US one of these days.
  9. Guys these videos are awesome, keep this up. I'm going to see what other Macross videos there are.
  10. A better, higher quality version of Episode 1. Episodes 2 and 3 are the same as the last torrent.
  11. No worries, I'm happy to awnser all questions and yours is a pretty good one. That torrent is indeed ours, we released it yesterday morning. I started a fansub group with a member from a different forum. We are now hoping to release episodes of Spt Layzner in a timely manner. Btw, Episode 1 is not our own work (belongs to Shin Getter) and will be replaced by our own asap. Episode 4 is very near completion so expect it in the next couple of days.
  12. Guys I'm pleased to announce I'm currently fansubbing Spt Layzner. Episode 2 and 3 are finished. A torrent is now in the making thanks to the generosity of a user on another forum. The video quality is farily decent but is is from the HKDVD boxset. To my knowledge they sourced this anime from the laserdiscs so it doesn't use the remastered print found on the R2 dvds. Because HKDVD subtitles are notoriously bad, I've replaced them all with the Lupin Gang scripts, all the subtitles are timed properly and the scripts have been fixed up to fill in any missing dialogue or poor grammar. Anyway it should meet with your satisfaction, I hope, lol. Anyway let me know what you think. Links for the episodes are also be included at the top of this thread. Episodes 4 and 5 will be coming very shortly.
  13. I love this title and yeah I would love to do this. I actually own 2 copies on vhs. However do you think it would be okay to rip a commercial copy opposed to a fansub? I have plenty of rare vhs fansubs that I've managed to rescue from obscurity since they've never been uploaded onto the net before. My next upcoming review is on a rare gem called Blue Flames. Yeah absolutly, alot of the best stuff is only available from Japan on vhs or ld unsubbed and raw. I know Shakotan Boogie is a racing anime but what's it actually like? The character designs for the main lead looks kind of strange - Click Here. May I also ask what other stuff you have on VHS or LD from Japan thats unsubbed? I have quite the wishlist of stuff I'm despeatly looking to feature on my site.
  14. Recently updated my website with a review and download of the rare classic Nineteen19. I hope you guys enjoy this classic, I managed to aquire the ancient VHS fansub and transfer it to to my PC so i could share it with you guys,
  15. TV Clips? Do you mean TV Ads or deleted scenes? Anyway the extras sound amazing, alot better than previous editions.
  16. I hope this isn't another false promise otherwise we will have a lot of sad members I really want to see this video so i can also review it too since i love seeing gems like these.
  17. Thanks Lone Wolf, i'll make the changes.
  18. Thanks terry, i will be posting another review next week, I hope to do Macross DYRL very soon too.
  19. Keep the updates coming guys, I really want to know if this boxset is geting English subtitles like some of their other releases.
  20. Hey guys, I just finished and posted my own review of Macross Flashback 2012 on my blog: Macross Flashback 2012 - Review If any of the information is inaccurate or you think i can improve it in some way then please let me know, all comments and suggestions welcome from Macross newbies and experts alike. I want my review to cater for all audiences.
  21. My blog is officially back online. Don't worry it won't ever going down again now it's been verified by the Google team as not spam. Head over there now guys for the new reviews and the improved site layout.
  22. Yeah keep us updated Solscud007, we're all very interested still. If it would make it any easier would distributing it online via a torrent be more effective than through custom dvds? Anyway, just a thought.
  23. Wow a podcast that actually slams the new Transformers movie, excellent i'm checking this out now.
  24. Thankyou so much, when i've finished the layout of my site, i'll add your blog to my link section when it's up. Glad to see you enjoyed the over the top narration on the Gaga Communications video.
  25. Does anyone know how to delete the left toolbar on my blog, i know i'll have to edit the html code in the template but as a newbie i don't know what to do. I'm using blogger as my domain. EDIT - doesn't matter, i can always fill the space with something else, like that logo i'm supposed to be designing.
