I too liked the film No issues with it. I liked the designs and I wished they made some MG of the baddies from F91. I have both the F91 Harrison and now the Hero version on delivery. Even thinking of getting the F91 Clear set. Thats how much i like the design. I think their was a reason given that the smaller sizes reflected in less destructive abilities. But if you take the 1/100 figure out of the cockpit from the f91 the dam robot is still huge.

You mention super earths but that is just theorizing a rocky planet and has nothing to do with "earth like" Currently they can only detect Jupiter sized planets as they pass along an orbit around the star. There is a project in place that should be able to detect smaller planets but then again its a stretch to detect anything close to the size of our earth and the fluke of it being in the Goldilocks zone is very rare. If I want to watch a scientific film some come to mind where films have a good story which tie the viewer to the characters. I like that. I like feeling something for the character on screen. And a lot of us are saying that. But they are also saying that its cool to watch the special effects. I too noticed this while you mention things i did not pick out but I was wondering is how Pandora was able to maintain cohesion. IO especially but Im am sure Europa, Ganymede, Callisto all suffer gravitational forces that push and pull on the moons. Pandora seems aweful close to the Gas giant??? And yet its has a lush zone like on earth. Can we compare another gas giant moon. IE Titan. Has a similar earth like structure but Methane gas means you can light a cigarette without blowing yourself up. It too has a an ocean of either ammonia/water under the surface. So many earth like rocky moons that orbit gas giants none of them come close to pandora. Oh well your the scientist and you know better For me tho, if background noise is supposed to entertain me then i will go to a factory and listen to all the various sounds and watch people work. But thats not the point. Mission to Mars. For me is a great movie!. They tried to use some science in the movie. (yeah when the captain takes of his mask and instantly freezes that poo was funny cause you radiate to death not freeze. Space is a vacuum and the ship would have tore its self to pieces with the gyros) but I really felt something for the characters. I was cheering for everybody to get away safely. The new show Defying Gravity does the same for me. Recently I bought the 9 dvd. I thought i would like it. It too was sort of blah cause i felt nothing to the characters and yes the story wasnt so bad and neither was the CG. And thats the thing that interests me, the psychology of it all where we trying to emotional project feelings through a 2 dimensional screen without the actual human factor. While 9 didnt do it for me Wall-E did. My background...Im an IT Project Manager. I have 2 degrees one in Political Science, and the other in Psychology. Decided I liked IT got my MSCE. Was a field tech and learned about cabling infrastructure and VOIP and that is what i manage now.

I remember when i attempted my first kit the shenlong gundam which was a no grade and i snapped all kinds of pieces. Now knowing the difference between grading and choosing only MG i take care and attention when building. As for the ka. I just ordered that one. I like the design but was weary of ka kits after the disaster known as unicorn, but viewing the reviews and using dalongs as a benchmark to decide to purchase it i think this kit will be nice

just some i decided to build I really like what they did with the MG wing. I like the wing mechanism more on the MG then the PG (actually doesnt have it all so there is nothing to like on it). It seems they did a much better job on the MG than did on the PG

out of the three gffmc molds this is the least posable. the z plus is the best and i would rate it mg along with the rx-78 g but this feels more like a hg. it barely transformers and isnt really solid. i was so scared to scratch the beautiful paint job

As it has already been mentioned in this thread, the CG may not have been "groundbreaking", just more of it. But what really impressed me was the attention to the little details, i.e. blood, sweat, tears, paint textures on the Navi skin. That, I believe I have not seen (or at least noticed) before in prior CG movies. sony actually developed that level of cg way before Cameron in Final Fantasy the spirits within

well end of a decade tally of most grossing film of 09 Fans of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen should be estatic to know that the movie took in top honors, beating out the likes of Harry Potter, Avatar, and Star Trek to be the #1 US grossing movie of 2009. The spread between #1 (Transformers) and #2 (Harry Potter) was pretty wide, about $100 million wide, to be exact.

i second that. although i already figured this out during assembly which is why i havent posed it. when the stand arrives it will just sit on the stand in one pose of my choosing and never again will i touch it. sad really. and there is no real mod you can do the ratchet ie add a coating of nail polish or paint cause that particular plastic will crack and crumple faster. the only thing i can think of to increase the hardiness of the ratchet teeth is add ball bearing grease. enough to not add so much stress yet still retain the tack tack tack foundation. boy i just finished the pg gp01 monster. took me 3 days total. i must say next to the mkII the rx-78 and wing its my favorite. i was looking at my pg zeta and mg v2 zeta and the pg zeta is just too fat looking :lol: :lol:

thank you and i plead the 5th. the movie is available for everyone some comments of the huge box office seller from our local paper on avatar Avatar, one of the best movies ever Having seen this movie in Imax 3D I believe this is one of the best, if not the best, movies I have ever seen. The story is not unique and tends to the predictable but the vision of an alien planet with its people, wildlife and plant life are simply stunning. One of the few times I recommend going to the cinema and not waiting for the DVD. Just goes to show you how bored people are. The endless need to be entertained reminds me of children crying that they are bored and have nothing to do. Of all these people all over North America, how many could have gone for a walk in a nearby park or forest. How many could have sat quietly reading a book and listened to music. The act of sitting quietly with your own thoughts seem to frighten so many people. Peace be upon you all. <<<<< this wasnt me i swear!
