haven't seen the schematics of the VF-1, I'm just assuming this since the VF-0S when it is shown transforming on the first episode of zero, is shown how the intakes spool up and then the diagram of the energy being redirected completely...

I guess the ideal of living in a planet peacefully with almost unlimited resources still prevails, this new Macross colony vessels might be self sufficient but for how long until they need serious maintenances, and if you happen to run into a planet why not colonize it and not worry about keeping a ship running, there so many dangers living in space than in a planet, aside from natural disasters, hahaha and I think the Macross colony vessels are designed like that with the assumptions that a few generations might pass until they find a habitable planet, I don't know about this, but the only habitable planets found are Eden and Zola, right!?!

hell, he didn't completely loose the engine, so part of it, the engine should be from the intake all the way to the thrusters, he just lost the bottom part, in which, the engine might still funtion, in addition to the other legg/engine, I guess that's why all VF's are designed like that in the eventuality they loose a leg...

I know what you mean, I wasn't referring about you directly, but a few post around here are a bit harsh, as I understand Japanese is a hard language to translate quickly and lot of people are mostly complaining about semantics, seems a bit harsh from my point on view, don't know if I'm explaining myself correctly I know you are in direct contact with a few members around here who are doing the subs and making sure it stays true to Macross, and I thank you too for that and I admire your persistance for things to be done right no matter how long they take, but on every episode topics after a sub is released a lot of people jump on the wagon on how a few things don't make sense and what it should say

continuing with the geeky discussion, if the VF are powered by 'nuclear' engines, don't remember the exact name for them, how much power could they need for energy conversion, they should be almost invulnerable then?? I mean...'NUCLEAR'

kind of late for the party, but want to thank them again, I'm not really an anime fan, only one I enjoy and follow religiously was macross, and this is the first time I'm enjoying a anime in real time with Japan, it's just astounding, and to be able to see it subbed and in HD is even better so a big thank you to all you fansubbers who do this for the sheer satisfaction of making others happy, DOMO ARIGATO MR. ROBOTO! yeah, reminds me alot too to the VF-2SS, perhaps a lilttle nod for the Macross Ii lovers anyway, I got a question, if the Vajra armor is made of the same energy conversion material as the Valkyries, how come they can take such a beating and are almost invulnerable compared to the usual valk that just blows up??? just curious

hmmmm...well, it's obvious Macross is meant to be some sort of global show, in the original SDFM, most of the cast were from different area Minmei: chinesse Gloval: italian Hikaru: japanese Misa: japanses Claudia: errrr...french? Roy: american? and well, Nyan Nyan is obviously a chain chinesse restaurant in the macross universe from the original in SDFM you know, maybe Sheryl speaks different languages like a lot of people and decided to write it in french as some sort of code to her assistant, so not everyone, let's say the hotel maid, knew she had left and err....deculture, I just take it a Macross expression of amazement
