yeah, the cyborg arm was for the audience to understand how he was able to cope with the hydra so easily and to show that he's most likely a product of Galaxy's tech anyway, I got a question, Kathy was assigned to the Quarter in episode 7 to get data, but for how long?, 'cause we see her in this episode with the bridge bunnies chatting about Sakurahime whatever, is she allowed to go to the Quarter bridge whenever she feels like?

Macross 7 has some very key episode that makes the show somewhat interesting, I don't like Macross 7, but I don't hate it, the problem with it, is that the animation is crap, the plot doesn't get interesting until about halfway show, the character, mechaa and enemy design is ridiculous and the whole song energy/anima spirita thing is a bit annoying, and of course, I have to say it... Basara is not an easy character to like, and the stupid unresolved love triangle...oh yes... planet dance is played to death anyway, answer to your question, key episodes in Macross 7 are the episodes where the whole Varuata (protodevlin), Protoculture thing is explained, introduction of the VF-19 and VF-22, fleet battles and the last episodes are sorta epic

in DYRL was the introduction of using the throttle as a lever to transform like you see in Zero and Frontier, he presses a button on the throttle and pulls it straighten it up to transform, there are some diagrams around here somewhere, too lazy to look for them, I think Mr Marchs webpage have those schematics also EDIT: Beltane70 beat me to it

what this whole 'sword' business being talk on the VF-27?? I certainly haven't noticed anything resembling a sword on the valk

I thing I finally realized why Alto never got Sheryls fame to affect him, he's a performer too and is use to all of it, so Sheryl is nothing out of the ordinary for him, hehehe, clever... I got to say, Sheryl rules, the way she completly ignored err... Miranda? and went directly to Ranka, hahaha!! and so funny when everyone recognized Alto as kabuki, hehehe that fighting bit, for a moment I thought I was watching Pokemon and Brera was trying to catch 'em all...

hmm...as I recalled correctly, from episode 11 on the series picks up a bit with the plot and stops the repetitive episode cycle of a random enemy attacks, Basara storming out on his ugly ass VF-19Kai, singing like an idiot while Gamlin yells at him to get out of the way, a lot of Cannon Fodders are taken out, Basara sings something and the Varuata leave, I sat down through the whole 49 episode, and if I remember out of 49... maybe like 5-6 episodes are really worth watching, but I guess is nice to watch everything Macross, best moment of the series, was the VF-22S, won't spoiled it for you, just so you have something to look forward to, ehhehe hey, I got a rather silly but newbie question you know the openning and ending credits of Macross F, or actually, on every Bandai sponsored cartoon, there's a small promo of something said and sounds like they say 'Christmas' what is it exactly said there!?

Great episode, nice mecha porn, the dogfights are insane wonder what does NUNS and Leon are really after...this got civil war written all over, or perhaps SMS getting thrown out of Frontier for opposing NUNS in the future like the SDF-1 got booted off Earth I hope to see the VF-0S next episode
