  1. So on a regular basis, I check out a toy website called figures.com and they have a good size review of the Hong Kong Gundam Expo. Anyways, I check out all the various reviews about the sets, toys and other stuff on display. The last section of photos caught my eye. I can see now why some Gundam fans on this board favor the Axis side .
  2. So occasionally at work on a graveshifht, I am forced to watch CNN for eight hours. For the last few weeks, I have seen a Tokyo tourism commercial featuring Astro Boy. Anyone know the deal behind this? Is this simply chance that this character is being used close to the release of a new show on the WB or is it related? P.S. pardon my misspelling of Tokyo in the title.
  3. Since both versions are out, does anyone have any comparison pictures?
  4. Sigh, with that kind of offer, I couldn't afford to pass it up and I've ordered it. Given the high praise from board members, I look forward to seeing it.
  5. <_< If you take a look at all the recent Transformer Cartoons, you don't see either side really use guns either. Could be an element of PCness thrown in.
  6. Let's put it this way, I made the mistake of buying it and watching it. I not only want my money back, but the time that I wasted in watching it.
  7. Actually, the teaser reminds of me of the Fleischer Superman episode, "The Mechanical Monsters."
  8. Oh boy, I saw the group of astor mech droid builders at C2. As friend of mine told me who plans to buid one said, "These things are like hobby cars. You get the basic the vehicle and start buidling up. Once you think you're finished, you think of upgrades and you sink more money to into that thing. You build the R2, you want to add some of the accessories, now you mant to make him remote-controlled, etc."
  9. That was funny and cool a the same time (nice seeing the articulation of Prime while he takes another truck's trailor). When the American version comes out, I hope someone does a picture side by side comparison.
  10. In a post 9-11 world where the US has gone to war with Afganistan and Iraq, SAAB might have actually done better. The series proved dark and it did show the harsh realities of combat even though there were some obvious quirks (yes, Marine pilots do not double as troops). Take one episode called, "Toy Soldiers." One of the main characters (Nathan) has his younger brother (Nei) sign-up into the marines. This younger sibling has a gung-ho leader who talks of glory in combat. On one of their first assignments for this green unit, they essentially get ambushed and wiped out. On a prop board that I frequent, some people have heard rumors that "Skiffy" saw significant ratings with the new version of Battlestar Galactica, supposedly well above the mark to make this a regular series. Only time will tell to see if this happens.
  11. Too much money for too little of a product.
  12. Revision looks sweet, but I have to agree that a specific kit let alone a toy would never be released. But who is to say.
  13. Here is the direct link to the Sky Captain movie website.
  14. Actually, Eddie Brocks name was mentioned in the first one. I can't remember specifcally, but something to the effect that JJ asked Betty Brant why Brock could not get picture of Spider-man.
  15. Uh, Lucasfilms is still in post-production with Ep3. The earliest we might see something would be the OT SE DVD release this summer and more realistically something between November 2004 to January 2005.
  16. My apologies, I did not realize that Sonmay was illegally distributing someone else's work. I did not dig deeper when I was doing my search. Any way, you guys have answered my question and I have determined that I will seek out a copy of the soundtrack.

    Custom 1/48 CF

Cannon Fodder never looked good. Curses, when I eventually, get a 1/48, I see that customized detailing is the way to go.
  18. Hey folks, As music goes, I really enjoy soundtracks (John Williams, John Barry, Hans Zimmer, etc) and I own a few Macross Plus soundtracks. I see on quite a few websites through Google that Sonmay has released a Volume 1 soundtrack. To those who have a copy or have heard it, what is on it and how do you like it? Macross Zero Vol. 1 at Discount Anime DVD Thanks for those who can help out.
  19. Consider the size of those models, the detail put into those models is simply incredible.
  20. The MPC Prime is definitely a thing of beauty. Sadly, another item that I need to wait on until I improve my fiances.
  21. I like RoTJ because of the appearance of the biker scouts (shows in my choice of SW cosplay) and because of the huge space battle at the moon of Endor. I enjoy ESB due to the dark tone and the beating the Empire gives to the Rebels.
  22. It will most likely be the Special editons. Even small theaters (like at colleges) who want to show the "orginal" films are only allowed the SEs. Closer to November 2004, we will have to see what information comes out.
  23. He He , I'll see you at end of the barrel of an imperial E-11.
  24. Thanks. More eye candy I would love to obtain, but can't even remotely consider buying.
  25. Wow, seeing those screen captures really makes me hope that Yamato will make armor for the VF-0S.
