70-200mm f/4L IS It's not as fast as the f/2.8, but it's lighter and I'm a sucker for IS (and the 2.8 IS is about $500 outside my price range). as for the 24-70, if I can find it for < $1000 I'm all over it. if not, the EF-S 17-55mm has been quite tempting as of late.

I just sh*t myself with excitement. I need to start saving up for this one... maybe Christmas next year. (actually, I wonder what the chances are of getting a non-IS 24-70 for cheap will be once this thing comes out) also, I'm ordering a new lens Monday, should be here by the 24th.

the computrekker is a nice bag, but honestly too big and cavernous for my needs (I highly doubt I'm going to need to carry two full size bodies plus half a dozen lenses.) If I needed 1 bag to carry everything I'd be more interested in the compuPrimus. it's got room for a body plus several large lenses and a big separate storage compartment (I never liked the idea of throwing junk in with my camera/lenses). also it's got rear access with a waist strap like the flipside and side access like the fastpack so best of both worlds.

a prime lens is just a fixed focal length lens, simple as that. If a lens has 1 focal length (i.e. 35mm) it's a prime lens. if it has a range of focal lengths (i.e. 18-200mm) it's a zoom lens. as for bags, there's really no further discussion beyond get a lowepro. The slingshot is good of you like cross body backpacks (also the slingshot 100 is one of the few compact backpacks that comes with a built in all weather cover). I personally have a flipside 200 and I'm looking into getting a fastpack 250 so I can carry my laptop and camera in one bag.

that's final stand. last stand you always die. Final stand is somewhat useful since you recover and it's basically like being locked in prone, you only get it if you suck enough to die 4 times in a row. also I got dumped into the most random game today. I was trying to play 3rd person team tactical and I got dumped into an 18 player FFA match on rust. also half the people showed up as friendlies even though I got points for shooting them, and there was no score being kept, just time. Shit was pretty insane.

I shoot them in the feet and they die. alternatively I blind both of us with a flash-bang and start violently bashing the melee button until one of us is dead. sometimes I use semtex, and one time I jumped up on top of the guy and stabbed him in the head. After he dies I like to take his shield, find him again and then have a hilarious shield duel.

what is with this obsesion with having anatomically detailed pilots. there half inch tall gummy figures of people in flight suits (i.e. clothing that doesn't show off their tits to begin with.) Nora has some weird looking torpedo tits going on.

ninja just makes you quiet, sitrep makes enemies louder. actually I think last stand is the most useless but I still get more use out of scrambler and sitrep than ninja.

I suddently have the mental image of a movie just about shit blowing up. As in actual fecal matter being exploded. Just clips of people throwing hand grenades into port-o-potties and shooting RPGs at sewage trucks.

oh well, I never use ninja anyways. Ninja (even pro) is pretty much the most useless tier 3 perk. Commando pro and steady aim pro are the best, sitrep is pretty useful too.

oh you bastard, the 1887 akimbo is so cheap. Prestige was actually kind of worth it, other than the stinger being level 30, I find the low level guns perfectly good. And now you get new titles, persistent challenges and an extra custom class when you prestige so it doesn't feel so much like you're being penalized. I use marathon and light weight to run around stabbing people, scavenger+hardline+steady aim for sniping, and slight of hand and cold blooded for taking out choppers. the Javelin glitch was annoying as hell. the ninja pro thing has been known for a while, it's a problem with the kill cam. the person with the heart beat sensor doesn't see you during game play, but during the kill cam you show up (even though you weren't before)
