  1. My max on that cel was $450. That didn't even make me the high bidder for a short period of time, lol.
  2. I would have bid on the Max and Miriya, but I wouldn't have paid that much for it.
  3. elrdf, it is one of the posters, if you want to call them that, from the Macross character "This is Animation" set. There is also a mecha based set. Here is the character set on ebay. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F323578430725
  4. Here is a recent Macross Plus addition. Its a character I didn't have previously and I was able to get it on the cheap so I figured why not. Its been a while since I've added anything else new.
  5. Oden, I was just looking through your collection on Rubberslug and found a cel in your DYRL section that I think is actually a TV cel. It is your VF-1A cel. If I am not mistaken that is Ben's veritech just as it is starting to explode in the episode Bursting Point. Now that I look at it, I think the VF-1S Gerwalk cel is as well, from the end of the episode Force of Arms.
  6. Here is another one of mine that actually says book on it. In the show the camera pans across it, or maybe it zooms in on it, I don't recall exactly, but the image itself doesn't change. http://mokman.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_info.asp?ItemID=191859
  7. Book cels are a stationary image on the screen, in contrast to other cels that are a sequence of images that produces motion on the screen. This is one of my Macross book cels. http://mokman.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_info.asp?ItemID=121453
  8. Nice stuff treker14. Welcome, and thanks for sharing.
  9. That is the only seller I contacted and he said the item was his. If that is indeed Ebay's policy I guess they are in violation and perhaps should be reported. *I can't decide if I care enough to go through whatever process that involves.*
  10. My understanding is they are not copies, but multiple people attempting to sell the same item, hence the identical pictures. There is only one cel but it is listed three times. They acknowledge the waviness in the description, which is degradation of the cel with time. Even though, it is a DYRL cel of two main characters. Depending on the individual's concern over the stability of the cel I would value it at $500-$1000. @Oden You must have significant concerns over the condition of the cel. I have never seen a DYRL cel of main characters similar to this one sell for as low as you suggest. Or you have some great sources that I need you to share with me. Now the fact that two other people are trying to sell a cel owned by another, and that the owner appears to not only be aware of it but ok with it, is totally not cool in my book. I told him as much, in a congenial, diplomatic way in our conversation. He has not yet responded with any sort of defense.
  11. So I was curious to see what is going on with that cel(s) so I contacted the lowest price seller feigning interest in buy the cel. He claims he owns the cel and the others are resellers. If the others sell the cel they will buy and ship it from his "site" in Japan. I think he meant that to be location in Japan and not website. I took a very, very quick look through the Ebay selling policies and didn't see anything jump out at me that shows what they are doing is not allowed.
  12. I see there are a number of Macross cels up in the BWA. I don't care very much for any of them but I see the Misa is getting some action.
  13. That'd be an interesting place to work.
  14. Another throwback image saved to my computer in 2006, and a similar fan cel I bought in 2008.
  15. Here's an image I have saved in one of my cel folders on my computer. I think it is a scan from one of the old Mandarake BWA catalogues shared with me by someone on the RS chat from back in the day, but I don't remember for sure. The file was created in 2007 so the BWA was likely from that year. It has been quite a while since I've seen anything else of this quality offered for sale.
  16. @Fortress_Maximus look at the dates updated on the right side of the main page. There is a clickable section for each. The second one down is the one of interest. P.S. My comments from before still apply. My suggestion is we spend a little time on this thread sharing artwork instead of commenting on the behavior of others. So who is next to share a pic of something? Something new, something old, something from your wishlist. Something that was offered for sale some time ago that you regret not jumping on. Anything!
  17. Well we can leave it right there on AB thank you. I think it is the second section down in the gallery if I remember correctly. It doesn't have a regular series title.
  18. I am not sure who Mokky is, but there is nothing private in the gallery. The "secret" items have their own section in the main gallery.
  19. I'm not sure. I got them from a private collector. If you can find the section in my gallery there are more.
  20. JV you are still commenting about people instead of sharing something. Here is the companion piece to my previous share. They have been in my RS gallery for years. You just have to know where to look. And yes these are the originals by Kawamori, not copies.
  21. Well my intention was to start a string of people sharing something from their collection. May I humbly suggest we take a break for a little bit from commenting on the conduct of others and get back to sharing the enjoyment of this common interest we have. So only posts of artwork for a while please. Who is next?
  22. So who has something cool to share from their collection? Here is one of my prized items from a "secret" section of my RS gallery.
  23. I don't have a simple answer to that. To my mind the word unethical is a very serious thing. Is all misrepresentation being unethical? I don't think so. Is telling someone they are 6 feet tall when they are only 5' 8" unethical? It would depend on what their motivation in doing so was I guess. What were they trying to obtain by misrepresenting themselves? To reach the level of being unethical the misrepresentation would have be purposely trying to harm someone. If such a think was taking place around the activity of this forum then yes I would say the misrepresentation was unethical.
  24. I have no personal knowledge of anyone misrepresenting themselves here. I don't follow the discussions that closely, nor what their activities off this site might be. I take it you are talking about elrdf? It is ok to name him. If we are going to discuss it we can be clear about who it is we are talking about. So I don't know what exactly he has done, or you believe him to have done, that you find unethical. My only dealings with him have been personal messages he has sent me attempting to buy things from my collection. We couldn't come to a deal and that was the end of it. I understand he is selling a few cels on Ebay to finance a more recent purchase but beyond that I don't know anything else about him. How exactly has he misrepresented himself?
  25. Absolutely, share all the knowledge that is out there. Inform people that there are other source for cels, at lower prices, than what is currently being offered on Ebay. I am all for that. Taking it a step further and drawing conclusions on the ethics of the people posting those Ebay sales? That is where I have a difference of opinion.
