Aoshima Shin Getter. I have a little mix feeling about this. May be not so much Aoshima's fault but the design just doesn't look as exciting as I hoped. I think it needs a bit more getter red somewhere. I am imagining it will look a little out of place when parked next to the Shin Getter 1. I really like how SHE interprets the Shin Getter 2 colour scheme. Also, I hope there is a good reason for that big joint running through the drill (may be it opens up??). I still think there is something funny about the proportion...like the gun is a little too big, the chest and tummy is a little too small....can't quit put it..but it is a lot of fun with these poses.

Actually, do you think they will keep the title "Robotech"? It just sounds a little too corny for a feature film. May be it can get away with it like Transformer. I felt alright in the office to discuss Transformer over the coffee break, but I just can't imagine I walk up to my college and say: "Wooa...have you seen Robotech!!!" I think I'll get the stare....

Yeah, I agree. They don't have to be that anime accurate to the point of sliding 2-seater....just repaint the freaking 1/48 and change the head with a set of new back pack. Why not??? It will be a winner for sure$$$$$$$$.

Yea!!! More Auska & Rei!!!! By the way, have you guys seen the Volks Rei and Auska? the sculpt is really nice and they are approx 210mm high, very nice size. The joint system is very similar to revoltech, but they complicated the ball joint locking mechanism a little, so it is not as robust as the revoltech. Nevertheless, they are a must have if you are a die-hard Eva fan.

They can do what ever with the Tobotech movie, it ain't going to be Macross anyway. But the bad news will be HG's wealth continues to grow, thus will never relinquish the Macross license back to BigWest, meaning, we will never see high quality Macross toy at a decent price oversea....

Very surprise not seeing any (or did I miss it) Ghibli theme. There are a lot of pissy magical girls tunes but I don't see Touch and Ikkoku's main themes...must be the generation gaps....sigh....

OMFG!!!! They definitely have all the signature of Sato. Where did you dig them up, 2Ducks!!!! I so want Dai-Apollon in metal, I knew of him when I was very little and he is one of my fav but there are really no good diecast of him (or at least I can't afford those E-Bay Price Hike). Can you imagine that Dai-Apollon weight 1Kg?? And the Dragon Getter BTY, personally, I think Getter 2 looks the hottest (please excuse my pun but he does look like a drag in diecast....). Sato did such a fantastic job re-inventing Getter 2. His movement are also better than the Getter 1 because he doesn't has that freaking cape. his accessaries are fun and has the best fitting of the 4 getters. Don't let my comments about the torso joint frighten you, I think if you are careful with it, it should be fine.
