  1. Man I can't wait to see this. For my film class I need to see a movie this semester and and writea paper, hmm think Sky Captain will be it. .
  2. Oh man. I just only now notice that he was in those Star Trek movies. I never noticed before and I've seen those two movies dozens of times. Yikes on my part.
  3. lol, man this show is great. Its funny, entertaining and love all the nods to all of these old shows. I have come across people bashing it becauses its American made which I think is crazy. I do hope this show is on for a while.
  4. Personally I think this new Voltron looks really good.
  5. Ugh things just keep getting worse and worse. Still I haven't actually watched an episode in months. I'm happy to keep doing that as well. I may flip by it from time to time trying to find something else to watch but its never on the channel anymore then a few seconds. Rock gone, Stone Cold gone, Goldberg gone, wasted the other big names they had or have. WWE is just killing itself. The death of WCW was the beginning of the end. At least then WWE had to at least work at being better then the enemy, now that they are the only game in town they don't even care anymore or just letting HHH control things. I've been wondering, the wrestling group that Jeff Jaret heads, I think its him, how is that? Do they have any shows on TV, etc? The only time I actual saw it was when they were cameo in the Chris Rock movie Head of State (lost count how many times I've watched that movie now )
  6. Never seen the reissue before but $150 the price is better then the Robotech MPCs. Each Voltron MPC collection would be around $50 I believe though. Tought I'm not sure if the price is good or bad for a collection of 5 toys that are fine by themselves but also combine into a larger figured. Though I wonder which piece will the actual sword come with or if each one will have part of the sword. Does anyone know?
  7. I was wondering what those were. Saw an image of them before. Voltrex was suppose to appear in the 3rd season of the 3D Voltron series I think but it wasn't made though it was renewed for a 3rd season from the information I found.
  8. What I find kinda funny is comparing to how WEP seems to be doing things vs. how HG is doing things with Robotech. Both the origins of the two fanchises seem similar, both tryin to make comebacks. Both attempt series during the 90s wich Voltron actually seeing the light of day and lasting 2 seasons before Netter went out of business. Interesting to see how open WEP is with Voltron and how secretive or shady at times HG is with Robotech. Yeah I notced the movie statement.
  9. Seems that Madman is releasing the original series in Austrialia. http://www.madman.com.au/ http://www.madman.com.au/voltron/index2.html Seems like they are also releeasing Star Blazers and Battle of the Planets. I just wish word on who is doing the US release of Voltron. Word is suppose to come any day now. http://www.voltronforce.com/dvd.html http://www.voltronforce.com/licenses.html Just thought I'd add that for those interested.
  10. Hmm a animated Highlander movie. Not really sure what to think about this.
  11. Yeah. I can't wait to get the MPC Voltron toy as well. I found one place last night that was preordering it for $150. That was for all the lions to be made into Voltron which is a great price I say for all of them. Though they look small. I hope they won't cost that much. I also hope the quality control is better then the Robotech MPCs. http://www.toynami.com/voltron.html I take it that the VV might have been the additon episodes? Anyway did Voltron Lions ever have a clear ending or did it just end after one battle/story arc? I'm thinking it did if 3D Voltron was a sequel but I'm not sure. It was only recently that I found out that Thundercats actually had an ending since I didn't remember it and missed it when it aired on Cartoon Network when it was one. Another question. How big is the company that has that owns Voltron?
  12. I think so. I think the Lion series came first and the Vehicle was second. I think that is shorter. The 3D version was suppose to be a sequel since in the beginning the explain what happen at the end of the Lion series. Now sure what the new series is suppose to be. Might be a remake.
  13. Has anyone checked out the new Voltron comic seres being put out by Devils Due? They started with Volume 2 #1 and its a ongoing monthly series but it seems like it still story arcs in that issues 1-5 are one arc but #6 picks up where things left off in the previous arc. Seems like that might be the trend. Anyway I just order the first trade paperback but I think that was done by Image though DD are selling them. Personally I'm really liking the art in the comics from what I've seen of the previews and that they are having both Lion Voltron and Vehicle Voltron in the comics. The way they introduced VV seems interesting. Here are some links if anyone is interested. The second trade paperback "Paradise Lost" which has issues #1-5 of the Volume 2 should be out this month. They are on issue #9(coming out at the same time as the 2nd TPB). http://www.voltronforce.com/comic.html http://www.voltronforce.com/series.html http://devilsdue.net/VoltronVol2.html http://www.devilsdue.net/5pagers.html (links to the previews for the issues). I really looking forward to the new series. Just wish I remebered more of the original series and that they finished the 3D series. I liked it. Here are some images for quicker access. From Volume 2 #2 page 4 http://www.devilsdue.net/5pagers/volt202/volt202p4.jpg From Volume 2 #6 page 4 http://www.devilsdue.net/5pagers/volt06/Voltron_06_04.jpg From Voluem 2 #3 page 2 http://www.devilsdue.net/5pagers/volt03/Voltron_II_03_02.jpg I like the last one, VV team chasing the LV team. The images of the new sereis on Voltron Force, while small seem pretty decent animation wise.
  14. Hmm I honestly didn't expect them to take off SEED, or to order just 26 episodes(which I heard is the case). Still they like said they might be very cautious of Gundam shows now. Then again this could be also Bandai's fault. No one series has really been pushed and advertised the way Wing was when it was released and that ran for the longest. MSG was promoed a lot on CN but since then nothing on other Gundam shows other then a week or two before it airs. Like G Gundam, that appeared out of nowhere to be honest. Then again really no other shows have been heavyly advertised the way Tenchi, DBZ, and Wing were. All three were franchises were one for a long time. I wonder why Bandai didn't do that with SEED? Or did they?
  15. I agree, unless they come in person in such a way that everyone just looking up could see.
  16. I believe you are wrong here. Wing beside SEED and Turn A are the only AU to get sequels of some kind after their series aired or during it. SEED - another series plus side stories and games, Wing - OVA/Movie, side stories(prequel and along side the series) and games, and Turn A - movie versions. I think they got other items as well as toys and models as well. Though Wing did better then Turn in terms of toys and models, not sure if SEED is doing better then Wing in that field yet. So I think its safe to assume that it was pretty popular when it was released, which could be the very reason it was the first Gundam shown on TV and really pushed for a long time. No other series really has gotten that kind of push since in the US. Well maybe SEED now. Sweet, Nadesico mecha . That's the one that Akito pilots right? If so any word if it will be able to discard the outer armor the way it does in the movie?
  17. On the idea that it might be a Macross show in all but name could be their way of getting around the whole legal mess and allow them to release it outside of Japan without any trouble from other parties. Especially if name and designs are different but they could try to strongly hint at past things and just continue the story. Would be interesting if they did that, I wouldn't mind at all.
  18. What's the first robot from?
  19. Other then the live action Sailor Moon show, what other live actions shows from Japan are currently being fansubbed?
  20. It being a cover for a new Macross series would be something. I wish that were true .
  21. I've shopped there before. Anime Corner Store has been around for a while, several years now. Pretty good prices from my experience. Haven't made a purchase recently though, last time was in 99 I think. But I had planned on making one sometime next week.
  22. I agree, this would be cool if it does hapen.
  23. Seeing as how SEED ended up I think there is a very good chance of that.
  24. Didn't think things could get any worse but WWE just keeps hitting new lows.
  25. Bah its a crap list. Especially since for a lot of the movies they aren't even talking correct about the plots. And if they don't even know what the movies were really about and seem to have ignore things in the movies that explained the problems they had with them it doesn't give a reason to take the list seriously or even as a joke. A number of things shouldn't even be on the list and a number of things surprisingly aren't even on there.
