  1. Ok that's a huge relief. Guess I might get one after all.
  2. I can actually foresee a bunch of 0A cancellations in favour of the 0S because of the ridiculous prices. What's with the smaller discount anyway? Are they taking into account the strengthening USD or something?
  3. By huge chunk, I did not mean making up the majority but a sizable portion of the revenue source and privately-owned Japanese companies aren't usually eager to share their sales figures. Yes, we are lucky to be able to purchase these toys but it wouldn't hurt to have a better support system in place. The only recourse we have now are refunds/partial refunds from retailers which is a waste since most of us just need a single part replaced.
  4. I'm starting to think their sales aren't as good as they expected it to be. The YF-19 might've been ok but the VF-0D did have multiple cancellations. You know what would really help their sales and marketing? Providing support to overseas customers that make up a huge chunk of their sales. They're pretty much ignoring us while gleefully taking our money.
  5. That light gray portion does appear to be white in the anime and the fins' colour should match the vertical strip on the other side of the leg.
  6. I'll wait till the 0A arrives before bitching about the colour again. I'm probably panicking because I personally think they got the 0D's blue wrong.
  7. I told you guys the fins would be blue! Aaaaaaarrrghhhh! Arcadia is really bad at picking colours. And if you guys think the USD is bad, you should take a look at the rest of the world. Our currencies are doing so much worse.
  8. I probably won't see shipping till much later since I cancelled my order and re-ordered just a month ago.
  9. No they were not. Didn't they appear only once at the beginning of the movie when they were assaulting the Bodolzaa-class mobile fortress? The VF-27 Gamma only had the super parts during the final battle anyway.
  10. I'm guessing it'll be out by this weekend. That's only 4 days away.
  11. Is it just me, or does the blue look a lot more toned down compared to the photos we've been seeing lately? I hope it's not a white balance thing but even the grays and whites look more neutral.
  12. I opened up my CF again earlier today and I'm glad to report that it's still going strong. I did get a scare when I accidentally pushed a triangular piece away from the body but luckily it was a part of the design.
  13. Exploding shoulder or not, it's still my favourite 171.
  14. This promo poster for the VF0A shows a blueish-gray fin and look what they did to the actual toy. Granted, it's just an illustration while the CF looks like the 3d model they used in the show. Bear in mind that it's still not an accurate colour. Even the whites in the show have a slight blue tinge to them. If you take into account the blue sky ambient, you need to add a little bit of red to Ocean Grey to get the correct colour which is a bit more neutral.
  15. Oh they will. They WILL! The 0S does look like it has blue fins when it's occluded. Someone please correct him before we get blue fins on the CF as well.
  16. The Tamiya AS-10 Ocean Gray is very close to the colour that appears in the show, if you don't account for the blue ambient.
  17. I think that's because it was a 0A in the photo I took down.
  18. Here are a few screengrabs of the 0A. I'm convinced they're not supposed to be blue. Some of these have a somewhat more neutral ambience colour compared to the rest. And here's the same photo as above colour corrected to remove the blue tinge. Arcadia screwed up.
  19. That was the wrong picture. It was from the 0A that someone had already posted as well. To be honest, the fins do not usually have light casting directly on them so it makes it hard to make out the actual colour since they have that strong blue ambience. I did find this still that shows the 0S actual fin colour, but the fin does still look blue in the fifth episode so I suspect Arcadia would go with that.
  20. The 0S also has blue fins in episode 5. Like someone else mentioned, it looks really blue because of the ambient sky colour. The actual colour is closer to gray if you compare the colour of the fin with the stripe on the other side of the leg. I actually think Yamato got it right with their 0S but maybe Arcadia just reused the 0A's fins for the prototype. I'm not holding my breath though considering how badly they (in my opinion) screwed up the 0D's blue.
  21. That blue fin... The one in the anime does kinda match the 0d's blue as well so it makes sense that it'll appear as bad as the 1/60 vf-0d. They should've made it gray. I wonder if the CF will also have blue fins.
  22. I wonder if we'll snap them up or wait for a v2. It seems to be Bandai's strategy.
  23. They're probably too busy working on Delta toys to consider a v3.
  24. It's up at HLJ again if anyone's looking. I'm guessing they still have extras because a few people ordered more than 1 and their orders got cancelled.
  25. I think Arcadia did a pretty good job with the YF-19 and the YF-21 from Yamato was pretty solid, other than the floppy wings. I doubt the market can absorb another 19 right now. Next year, maybe.
