The 'Hey look at this really cool model build I saw' post

Thanks. Same to you. 😊 -
@MechTech”The BEST CA accelerator, gap filler, or for building up areas with CA is plain ole baking soda (like Arm and Hammer). It's non-toxic and gives body to the area you build it up in. MUCH cheaper too!” Wow! I will give that a go next time I fill some gaps. Thanks so much for the insider tip. 👍

I had posted something which I then removed since it was in the wrong thread. This isn’t in reference to anyone else’s posts. Just to clarify. ✌️ -

Whoops. Wrong thread. -
That’s a great idea. The mist is way too much and gets all over the place.

I’d love to see the guy suspending themselves by their hard hat. Lol I need to look this up!

How did I not know about this amazing product? Granted this is my first year building, but wow does this make seam filling with CA a breeze! I’m in love ♥️ Oh and current workbench project is the Wave 1:144 Engage SR3

Hahahaha. The AI overdub is beautiful. Hahaha I’m excited to build this beast! Just received it from my private warehouse yesterday. ♥️

Thanks for the link. Excited to read it tonight. Also love the Miami Vice panel. Lol

Thanks for the info. Appreciate it.

Wow. That does look cool. Never heard of it before.

https://hjweb.jp/article/2021897/ cool look at a rather straight build with minimal hand painting/top coating.

Wow. So many mashups. Love it! -
@MechTech @Thom Thanks! It’s been super fun. @Big s Thanks. Yeah there is some nasty stuff going around and honestly the elementary school is like a petri dish. 🤮

Had to stay home from work with my sick kiddo. Sucks having a kid that hacking and sneezing, but I selfishly get to do some painting. Finished this up today. It was so much fun for such a simple build. I suck at hand painting but that didn’t stop me. Hahaha. I love my little SDF-1. Made a tiny bridge out of some 1mm pla. I think it came out great for the scale.

Been dog sitting for some friends the past week+ so I brought this kit with me to help pass some time. Was able to stop by my home today and do a rough and ready paint job on the “pickle” I need to go back in and do some hand painting including some touch ups. Got some glue seepage unfortunately and I also want to get a matte finish on there. The Surfacer 500 took care of most the rivets I wanted to hide which was a half success. All said and done, this was a fun one. Might have to get the rest of the fleet 🤔

I am digging the wild camo colors.

May not be very helpful. I haven't ordered directly from their site, but I have had no issue with them via eBay.
-
Very cool! Thanks for sharing.

It’s so tiny. Cute AF. I can’t wait to paint it. I’m going to add the bridge. Got some pla laying around
-
Well I most definitely lost some brain cells tonight. I should have wore a respirator when brushing on that surfacer. Note to self. Anyway, I am hopeful that this is going to work out easier than expected. Maybe I already said too much. 🤔

Hahahaha. 😂

They are real shallow and can be filled in. There are a ton though so it’s going to take some time. Might just brush in some MR Surfacer 500 and sand it a bit. The official anime art I have seen for the flagship has few if any panel lines so if they fill in during the process I think I’m cool with that too.
-
Hahahaha. Love it. The rivet marks are very shallow. I do think a light coat of surfacer will fill most of them in so no biggie.

It is odd. Yeah it looks like a quilt or cowboy boot. Hahaha Guess I’m going to putty town. @sketchley Here is a photo
