I wanted to stick with the 1/48's, but this thing looks so good I might get one after all. Firt I need some essential 1/48's though, so the VF-0 will have to wait.

If the VF-2SS is a "SPACE VALKYRIE" why does it have wings in the first place? They would just be in the way when in battroid mode wouldn't they? The same goes for the air-intakes, totally useless. Aerodynamics usually make for a sleek design which is therefore, most of the time, an esthetically pleasing form. I don't think anyone drools over the design of a sattelite. I think the VF-2SS is a wonderfully useless design that makes no sense at all, but it still looks great.

If Yamato starts producing Valks for HG, they can milk the VF-1 line even longer and we'll never see a new 1/48.

WOW!!!111 Phalanx, people are agreeing with you! What's going on? BTW: I agree too, Yamato should make a Mac II toys, but only after they do a 1/48 Mac Plus line.

I think that in about 50 years the toys will be worth nothing, because noone will know what the hell Macross was. People get into collecting products from a certain franchise first and foremost because they like the franchise. I think that, in 20 years time, the Macross franchise will be "dead", which means that no new toys/models/anime will be produced. Things like rare Batman comics are worth so much money partially because the franchise is so well known and alive since the early 40's. Today there are so many franchises that Macross will just get snowed under by the bigger names. BTW: I do hope I'm wrong though, and that in 50 years I'll be a millionaire because I imported Japanese toys that noone knew about in the early 2000's

I'd love too but... I don't have the patience or skills to do model building. I wouldn't be able too just look at the models without handling them. Like a drunk guy in a stripclub.

The chestplate can break easilly so be careful when inserting the missiles. You can read all about it here incl. pictures.

Hasn't anyone done a GBP custom yet? I'd love to see a custom with some weathering and battledamage.

The other parts too. You should definitely keep 'em, but they look a bit to deep in the plating.

The panel lines are a very nice tough, but I think the rivets are a bit overdone.
