I'm 31 now and when I show my collection of Japanese toys related to an 80's anime I just get weird faces looking at me like I'm the ultimate nerd. Here in the Netherlands, Macross is totaly unknown so that adds to the reactions of friends and family. The show is almost 25 years old now and there don't seem to be plans for a new series or movie. I was just wondering about some things; - How long can we enjoy collecting Macross related toys/models before the companies making all this wonderfull stuff lose interest? - In ten years time, will it be even weirder for a guy in his 40's to collect toys of an anime that nobody knows about, and will I need to move my collection to a hidden closet like it's some nasty fettish? - In ten years time, will the only thing you can find on the internet related to Macross be a couple of items on Ebay?

Isn't someone doing an armored Gerwalk project for the 1/48's somewhere around here? I remember seeing it somewhere.

You could lift the die-cast swingbar. That'll make it easier to get the arms past the bumps.

I had it all planned out, after getting the CF and Hikaru 1j i'd only go for a Roy 1s and call it quit's. And now Yamato plans to do a Stealth? Damn! If Yamato starts doing these paintscheme's that weren't really in the series or DYRL it makes me wonder if they will ever get to producing anything but VF-1's in the 1/48 scale. They know the hardcore collecter's will buy any VF-1 variant they put on the market so why invest in making a different model?

Thanks! Made them myself. Just some smart selecting and deleting on the layer with the right layerstyle. (Bevel and emboss) Then I did some brushing on a new layer with a low opacity for the scratches. I'm currently working on a Spartan wallpaper n this style.

I don't mean to doublepost but I've got some more wallpapers to add. Enjoy. I plan to do a series of these, so more are on the way.

Sorry I haven't posted any wallpapers here the last couple of days. I got my package from HLJ and I've been busy drooling over these. I did however make a skin for the Playgear Pocket. (It's a protective case for the PSP)

Damn,.. I just checked HLJ for that Tenjin Hidetaka book and found out it's discontinued. I ordered some Yamato stuff from HLJ last month (it's coming in today!) and noticed they had that book in stock. I decided to order it with the next stuff on my Yamato wishlist. I shouldn't have done that...

Actually, with template 01.psd you will be able to make wallpapers like the one I added here. (not Macross related) The PSP's icons will scroll along the crossing lines. btw. thanks for helping out by hosting the PSD files.

Most Macross games appeared for Sony consoles, so I guess there will be one for the PSP. They made a Macross game for the Nintendo GBA, so why not for the PSP right?
