  1. i liked how the anime integrated their Supers into the battle, kind of cool, though the characters look a bit chunky to me. I'm more akin to the later interpretations of the characters where Ken has longer hair and Ryu is on the leaner side.
  2. Everyone has their arguments for regular vs premium in performance cars, in most cases for a motor that isn't force induced and running compression that isn't much higher than 10:1 it's no big deal since regular won't combust fast enough for preignition, but when driving a turbo or supercharged vehicle, you won't notice much difference until the turbocharger or supercharger hits its optimal RPM (since that's when the air fuel mixture is high enough to cause pre-ignition), and in that regard, it can seriously damage your motor and 'cause "pinging". Also some of the more premium components used like fuel injectors can get clogged up by using crappier gas and would offset the "at the pump" savings you would receive by using a downgraded octane. I think for the LS series motors it's not a big deal, i have friends that have been using 87 in their LS1/2's for awhile with no pinging and only a mild difference in performance but only if they're dumping the throttle. I've seen similar results with Nissan's VQ35 and my buddies RX-8 (13B Renesis) having no ill effects from lower octane, while my brother's Forester (EJ25 Turbo) acts retarded above 3000rpm, but again, i think that supports the idea that it's due to it being force induced and has more air assisting ignition above 3krpm.
  3. I hope the ARX-8 sells well so we get more FMP revy's
  4. I picked up the Arctic Gear Snake Eyes, and the Snake Eyes with the two bowie knives on his chest (i'm so lost when it comes to what wave they're in) recently at different Wal-Mart's. Also in regards to David's claim for finding a CC with the properly painted leg buckles, i noticed that all of the newest CC with the Mass Device piece have properly painted leg buckles including the TV accurate helmet. I have a photo on my cell phone that I haven't had a chance to upload. Also i found whatever wave has Arctic SE and the TV CC at a Super Wal-Mart out in the middle of nowhere, so i just happened to get lucky (didn't buy the CC, but there were like 4 of them so i'm not worried). There's supposed to be a super wal-mart that's going to open up a few miles from where i live in the next month, so i might stop in there to see if they get the new goods in. EDIT: Just looked back a page; realized you were looking for a fixed buckle hooded CC, well you could always pick up a Fixed Buckle Mass Device CC and then swap heads with the same effect.
  5. I think you meant upcoming ZR-1, but i would own the P&M C6RS over the ZR-1 anyday, the body work alone would be worth it. They made the vette look fantastic, even the interior is acceptable, and of course the motor is amazing.
  6. My brother has a 2.5XT Forester and his car has hill assist, i HATE hill assist, i wish there was a way to disable it, anyone who's driven manual for longer than 10 minutes knows how to take off on a hill. I heard those same rumors about the RWD light coupe, but it's going to be met by a lot of competition so i'm under the impression that it might not be able to hold it's own unless they beef up the powerplant. Nissan is supposed to come with a new Silvia/240SX that uses a 2.0L turbo (not SR derived supposedly) Inline 4 to put the finishing touches on their sports car lineup, and not to mention Hyundai's 2.0L turbo Genesis coupe. For some reason i don't think a RWD coupe in Subaru's lineup will do them much good, especially since one of their biggest marketing ploys for the past decade is based around the fact that they're entire lineup is AWD. I'm still hopeful that Subaru will release an Impreza or Impreza brethren in the same spirit of the 22B. A light weight turbo AWD coupe with a slightly exclusive beefed up motor. Either that, or go balls out and build a 3.5+L H6 twin turbo full size sports coupe similar to the new GT-R, but we all know that won't happen since they're now buddies with Toyota.
  7. the standard REX looks nice but the new STi is pug ugly.
  8. that design is pretty but boring and unoriginal, it's already on the streets in the form of the 550/575 Maranello
  9. Snatch and Lock Stock were what made me a fan of Statham in the first place, his roles in both films were fantastic and also helped put Guy Ritchie on the map (until Madonna came along and screwed him up). I couldn't imagine Snatch with any other lead than Statham, he nailed that role and the script delivery. As far as Transporter, i liked the first one a lot but certain parts of the second one made me turn my brain off a little more than i wanted to, hopefully the third one delivers.
  10. I finished watching this series about two weeks ago. Absolutely loved it, especially the first 25 or so episodes really had my attention and wanting to open the next episode with each cliffhanger. It didn't necessarily lose me in the middle, but the direction was a bit less intense i felt, and the main characters were getting a bit too whiny (which in all fairness is how real relationships are, but it doesn't make it any more entertaining). Then somewhere towards the end it got really friggin awesome and the last five episodes or so blew me away. Oddly enough this was one of the first series i didn't watch with my wife and now i regret it 'cause she would've LOVED it. It also sucks that Bandai didn't go crazy with model and toys of this stuff, it really got the shaft for solid merchandise, I would pay seriously good money for a True Form and Spec 2 Nirvash, Devil Fish, and TheEND.
  11. out of all of those photos the FD and the Porsche were the only ones that weren't on the border of severe retardation or just plain stock. I see nicer cars than that driving through my neighborhood.
  12. http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=VGNS270P You're probably looking for this list of drivers, Dell has the exact same thing on their website since OEM's often use proprietary drivers (usually it's the same as a generic driver just branded with their name).
  13. I found Wave 5/6 last week at WM fully stocked, only picked up IG Destro and Torpedo, i like snow job's redesign but don't care for the character so didn't pick him up.
  14. that's what i was going to say, it's also the things that legends are made of, it'd be very exciting to see BMW to give this the OK for production
  15. I've never been a big fan of the vehicles so i passed, but if anyone else wants something, i can go scoop some up.
  16. all of the Target exclusive vehicles were fully stocked locally; the odd thing, is they weren't in the toy section, it was near the cashiers along with the new Star Wars Order 66 two packs on end cap display racks.
  17. then why is the performance so crappy? the gearing has to be really long. My brother's car has hill assist but i don't see the point, people who know how to drive manual have no use for that feature.
  18. ^ you just reminded me, the fact that it only comes in auto kills it for me too, it's one thing if it was using a DSG or an SMG or something that without a doubt performed better than a manual, but as far as i know its using a torque converter auto, and that's crap IMO. I think if it were using a traditional manual gearbox and lost some weight this thing would be a real performer, but an under 6.0 sec 0-60 is not muscle car worthy if you ask me. There are STI's and EVO's out of the box putting down 4.6 0-60's and they're not even built for drag, they're track and rally cars, for the price a car of this calibur should be throwing down at least 5's.
  19. All things considered, this cars release at least lasted several months before seeing it wrecked. The first one that got wrecked was actually being delivered to a customer by a dealer and one of the dealer's drivers wrecked it; they haven't released any details on this one yet. I remember two Carerra GT's biting it before the 30 day mark, but of course the difference is the GT-R was released in Asia before the states. I'm sure within the first day/week the car is out stateside you'll see a wrecked one (probably wrecked by some 18 yr old) .
  20. it's not an exotic (at least i don't consider it one) but it is a super car. I actually think that's the third one, nagtroc.org has them listed with photos. I'm still not impressed by the Challenger, for its weight it has good performance, but is that really saying much? what about the rest of the car? Aside from how it looks on the outside, the interior ergonomics look terrible, if the Americans ever make a decent interior, i'll be incredibly surprised*, but i don't see it happening anytime soon *Rebadged Euro cars don't count.
  21. I actually think it's smarter to have it relative to the G8 since their G6 follows the same path (coupe, convertible, sedan). I think that was one of the reasons the GTO didn't sell well was because they named it the GTO (though I personally didn't care what it was called since it was a performer). It will be a lot easier to remember and i think much simpler to market.
  22. the solstice may not replace the firebird, but i bet it outsells it, the firebird had nowhere left to go, it had already been cannibalized to the point of no return throughout the rest of GM's cloned lineup. I don't see the loss of the grand prix a bad thing, i don't imagine it was making them much money, and even if it was, this gives them an opportunity to fill their US lineup with more euro cars. Pontiac is the only division that seems to be getting some positive attention from GM at the moment, so i think by killing off all of the cars that don't sell to bring in fresh designs can only do good things for them; soon enough people will forget Pontiac's Mistakes (Aztec, naming the Monaro the GTO) and hone back in on the quality of their lineup. With any luck, sales might get good to the point of seeing another LS2 (or LS3) powered coupe.
  23. Pontiac still makes the Grand Prix, the Solstice replaced the Firebird (well technically the GTO replaced the firebird but we now how that ended up), and the G8 replaces the Bonneville (not that anyone feels the loss of the bonneville anyway), not to mention they have the G6 coupe/sedan/convertible and G5 coupe.
  24. I wouldn't want that V6 turbo'd, there's a lot of engineering (and plumbing) that has to go into a turbo V6 that doesn't have to go into a turbo I4, so i think it's better to have the turbo I4 anyway. But Myk's not crazy, i signed up for Genesis updates too Also not crazy about the Camaro, i like it, but still think it's "meh". When i think camaro i think Yenko or ZL1 Camaro and this car screams neither of those to me.
