  1. I know the details. Number one, there were five, not 10, weapons, ranging from a standard issue Luger to a gold plated, pearl handled, PPK. The weapons were sold shortly after his death, which would have been in about '65. They sold for way less then 500 bucks a piece, I'd doubt if she sold them for 500 for the lot.
  2. With that attitude, you'll never make "commander." Bwahaha!! I already am commander!!!
  3. The MGS soldier is great. I cracked up when I saw him at AX last year.
  4. Don't we all wish we had an STi? However, I'd prefer an Evo, preferably an IV. I prefer the Mitsubishi's handling prowess to the Subaru's power advantage.
  5. Ya know, that guy is on MW. He goes by "The_Box", if I remember correctly.
  6. I got hit and run in my S14 a couple months ago. Some ass in a brand new silver civic decided to change lanes into me. He blasted off, with me behing a few seconds, because it took me a couple srconds to get over the disbelief, and went up an overpass, went around a solw-ass camry just as it went to one lane, and lost me. Anyway, it looks like we have a lot of car guys on MW. Maybe we should have an MW car meet! (Maybe alongside MWcon?) By the way, there's a big car meet (mostly drifting related) going down at Bolsa Chica beach on the 26th, if anyone's interested.
  7. Didn't find a SWAT vehicle. However..... the box for my Tokyo Marui MP5 RAS Has a big 'ol LA SWAT logo on it! I'll see if I can take a pic/scan.
  8. Poser Vostok 7 Lol. I think the term you want is ricer! Anyway, I don't want it so I can "be JDM", it's more of a joke anyway. Still, I think it's cool in that it's so unlike anything the average american driver would do.
  9. Actually, Razo knobs, despite how common they are, are actually really nice. They're not on the level of a Nismo, but they're certainly worth the 40 bucks. However, what I'm really looking for is one of those cylindrical pink bubble knobs. If you've seen recent photos of JDM drift cars, you'll know why.
  10. I'm still working on it, and I've been trying to figure it out on and off all day... Lol! Right after that reply, I went back and tried again, and got it on the first try!!!
  11. Damn it, I'm pissed! You'd think that, with all the crazy driving and touge that I do, some part of my car would get messed up. Well, it did. Unfortunately, it wasn't the touge that did it! I managed to break my car's lip pulling into a parking space!!!!
  12. Actually... I didn't.....yet. It's on my list, thought.
  13. Wow, I didn't even know they had them at SA! Speaking of which, did you happen to take a look at shift knobs when you were there? I'm triyng to find one of those tinted clear plastic ones that are currently the rage in Japan. (With or without bubbles is fine)
  14. I'm not sure if there will be any SWAT vehicles around for photos, but I'll take some pics of the black & whites if I see any parked outside.
  15. You need the emblem from an LAPD SWAT car or from a normal Black & White? I'm going to Little Tokyo tomorrow, which is right by the LAPD garage, so I can take some pics if you want.
  16. Suggestion for using Mr. Surfacer: Buy a pack of microbrushes. That way, you can use one to apply the surfacer, and just toss it when you're done. No need to waste time and effort cleaning it out of a nice brush.
  17. Hmm... I hadn't thought about it.... but I have a couple 1/60s just sitting around, maybe I'll do a couple mods and throw some paint on one of them, just so I can have something in the contest. Not that I have any intention of winning, but I might as well show that I have some customizing ability!
  18. I may be interested. Once I see what the final price is, I'll decide whether I can scrape up the cash for these kits....
  19. Actually, the F1 cars had two rear axles. And they were so successful that F1 actually banned them!
  20. You guys think seeing piscures of him is a big deal? I've met the guy!!! Actually, he's pretty cool, h did the whole thing as a joke. Let me note, by the way, that he was wearing normal clothes at the time. Now, let's end the discussion of him.
  21. I'm not on your list, but I'm currently doing a Hase 1/72 S-3B Viking "Navy-1". (Although I'm not going to build it as the exact plane that the kit represents, but rather as a UN NAVY example.
  22. Maybe Zero's spoilers are used for purposes other than roll and the duty of supplementing the ailerons is taken care of by the thrust vectoring?
  23. The carrier example isn't right, though. What happenned is more like if the pilot put his damaged Phantom down in a field, and escaped shortly before it blew up.
  24. That's pretty cool! I never got mine beyone "Haro! Genki?!!?" and "Amuro...Amuro...Daijobu Desu Ka?"
  25. I blame the PS1's success on the strength of it's games, not on its hardware. The sheer number of great games, as opposed to the number of great games on N64 or Saturn made it a winner. I can think of one game that was really a great game, the game that made you buy the console, on N64, and that was Goldenye. In comparison, with PS1, you had Gran Turismo, MGS, FFVII-IX, Rige Racer, NFS, and so on. Saturn had....what the hell did saturn have that was worth buying the console for, anyway?
