Finally finished! Had a blast panel washing and some decals a task not too overwhelming thanks to its pocket size.🤪

Still working on customizing my 0S, hopeful that one day I will finish.🤣 some show missiles with red tip, some with yellow so I went with focker yellow. Whitening landing gear is real easy on this one.😁

Exactly the same on my copy, I've been careful trying not to get stress marks by the wing hinges. I open it up just enough for the shoulders to swing out as you say. Stress marks can be easily seen on darker colors. Maybe will try a bit of silicon oil or something.

Thanks @no3Ljm, yeah it's the first time receiving stuff from AmiAmi in this manner as you say their box is on the studier side. DHL must've thrown my box around. AmiAmi responded to my inquiry and offered a replacement or refund. Either way it's trouble I shouldn't have had in the first place.

Updates. I’ve been using Tamiya light gray panel wash because the blackest black panel lines against the white makes it look horrible as we all know. My finding though after messing around a bit, intended subtle panel wash doesn’t really work effectively on the scale of HMR and all my efforts to payout ratio isn’t that great. Spraying top coat also kills the wash a bit…Time to try regular gray wash.🤪

Yup I used a pin vise with the smallest drill bit I could find and carefully drilled out just enough material for black wash to set in. The red stripes at the tip I attempted to paint at first but it didn’t look straight thus went with a decal instead. 😉 Wish I could cram in more details as you suggested but it is just too small that you can only do key details to make it pop.

So I’ve decided a little bit of detail up work on my copy. I don’t usually bother with panel washing but the HMR 0S was screaming for one. Much less tolling to mess up a HMR than a DX anyway.😆 Starting with the head cannon details drilled holes and red stripes added.☺️

damn my second copy arrived today from AmiAmi with quite a bit of transit damage beyond my level of acceptance. The item box inside was crushed and folded badly from impact side to side. It was shipped with DHL. I emailed AmiAmi to make a claim, anyone with the experience?

Great posing and nice angle! Comparing with the still shot from the movie, wish it had a shoulder pivot up and down and out. fairly complicated to achieve though considering the construction around transformation I suppose..

It would be interesting to see the size of the crest comparison between Max and Mirage. If the same, I could only speculate the reason for the larger than cg rendering is the cost of resizing.😁

it's pretty much the same in person. the white is on the warmer side with a bit of red and yellow in it. Nice! Hope you find some gems while you're there.😁

That looks great! I don't really mess with panel washing but feel this one may benefit hugely on some subtle panel washing to bring out the details.

The armor pack is cool but what are the chances of it being sold as standalone vs combo set with another 01S? - I'd prefer just the amors but it's unlikely eh.

Looks like a model kit box if it wasn't for the window on the backside. The placement of the figure though, right next to the corners where impact usually occurs, dangerously close.

it don't look too bad, mine was way worse out of the box. Looks like the shoulder hinge joints are not pushed up all the way. transform it to massage & work out the kinks.

Thanks for the info! Seeing that the update has been implemented on the worldwide version, something tells me the revival will most likely get the three screw treatment.

Any information on the number of screws on the hip joint for this upcoming release? - I don't have a renewal version, did it come with one or three screws?
