  1. a small midweek update on my 0d personalization.😁 I felt the bottom side of the nosecone is rather bland on the HMR and looking at Arcadia's 1/60 which I am going by, is this the part of the transformation gimmick that opens & closes like a door? Anyways it looked cool enough for me to give it a go with a 0.15mm panel engraver and some plastic bits.

    You've outdone yourself sir, btw how many sacrificial limbs for this lovely pile.:crazy:

  3. Okay work continues on my vf-0d. Got to sit down at my spray booth this morning trying to get some personal quiet time if you know what I mean:). I never got the pleasure of owning Arcadia’s premium finish version of the 0d so I figured would dare to replicate the weathered effect on the HMR. The gradient on the arms and legs, which I believe is the focal point on the PF were quite challenging but nothing my shaky aging hands couldn’t handle apparently.😂 Some WIP shots;

    Thank you for your advice. Yes, i finally found the courage to go along with the operation. I just used a cotton swab dipped in some water and a lot of patience. I was able indeed to peel it off without causing any damage to the VF. Luckily i did not seal it with top coat but just used some drops of mark softer/setter. I have to say some third party decals stick better than the official ones. Thank you again!

    Great! At least that proves mark softer/setter isn't a waste of money and is doing what it's supposed to do, to resist peeling.:good:

    I need some assistance. I am trying to take off a small waterslide decal that i put on my Arcadia VF-0D(regular version). The decal has sticked very well to the plastic and i am not able to rub it off with my fingernails, as i usually do. I was thinking about using a cotton swag with a couple of drops of alcohol on it but i am afraid i might ruin the plastic. What do you guys think? What do you usually do in cases like this? I really want to avoid the risk of scratching the surface of the VF since that it's a pretty expensive one and am very picky about this kind of things. Thank you in advance!

    Were you able to take it off after all? Did you seal the decal with a topcoat. If not, take a piece of scotch tape and tack it off which usually works for me. If all fails you can always sand it off.:unknw:

    Yeah you have to apply a layer of clear acrylic over the printed decals and let it set before they're ready to use.

    My photoshop skills are rusty to say the least and after getting much needed help from my 12-year-old daughter with a questionable look on her face, we came up with this together..no vector all the pixels that I had to clean up this entire afternoon...wish me luck printing it!🤣 and thank you @Lolicon for the scan and introducing me to the world of homemade decals.

    Decals are tiny at this scale...

    Very nice @Lolicon. Did you have to apply a layer of clear on top of it?:good:I managed to break mine and in pieces currently, deciding what to do with it...

    THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Now I just have to figure out how to print this as custom decal printing is beyond me at this point but I'm inclined to get set up for it.:good:

    Here's a question that I wanted to ask for those that have the HMR VF-0d in their hands.

    Since there's reports that the HMR 0s feels like it's made with a lower grade plastic and quality wise feels like a cheap KO, does this 0D echo the same sentiments as the 0s?

    I got my copy from HLJ delivered to my work today and from a glimpse into the window, I really dig the blue how it turned out.:good:

    THANK YOU @Angesdad so much!!!  Is there an English version of that site that lists other manuals?

    My pleasure. No English I could find but suggest installing Google translate on your phone which helped me immensely where it translated to "Caution may rub off". 😁

    Hey has anyone come across the Bandai Transformation PDF Manuals to these AX toys?  They used to put out PDF of their transformation PDF manuals for the other toys, but that link had been down for a while now and I'd like to have the PDFs so I don't have to crack open my paper manuals every so often.  I know I can just scan them myself - but thought I should ask first before going through the trouble - or maybe someone has already archived a files section for these things?  TIA.

    Cheers.
