  1. Here ya go. I removed the intakes on ther 19 and there's at least as deep an area as the 1/60 vf1. With slight retooling you could easily get a "halfway" decent turbine in there. I've just painted that area which is why it's black. And I adapted the Bandai base to take the kai and the give the illusion of the Maxl fying off in the distance. Stupid YAMATO adapter won't hold though as Renato has pointed out.
  2. My Kai now has working shoulder speakers, baby! Admittedly, they only clip on, but it's good enough until I get my hands on a second SoundBooster and add some better speakers to that.
  3. I would also LOVE a P. I am betting that if they ever did do that then ONE of the paint schemes would be a web exclusive. I'd much rather the "whale sperm" livery be the exclusive though.
  4. Which still kind of bugs me. Didn't I see pictures where they had intakes which were removable? Wasn't something to do with the lerx?
  5. The left foot on my kai is becoming ridonkulously loose. It can barely stay in gerwalk without falling over. Since i'll be getting the Blazer (since there seems to be no chance of a P) i'm hoping they fix this problem. Graham, any possibility of getting Yamato to tweak the ankle so that it's possible to crack it open? I still can't figure out how to open it up.
  6. That'll happen when Satan begins skating to work. Renato and I have been talking for years about making custom speakers. If there's enough space in these, I may even just go ahead and do it.
  7. Same here. My Kai is having problems standing. It's falling over far to frequently for my liking. One of the things I hate, ball-jointed ankles, and it winds up on the Kai. Wish they had used ratchets.
  8. Can we expect an updated list of "harmed" valks in your sig?
  9. Have there been any report os explo-shoulders on the VF-X? I'm hoping mine does not need any surgery.
  10. Turning this old junker into an MP Orguss. I put this here as there are a couple Orguss model kits going into this guy. Got a Nikick for 2100 yen the other day which might just end up getting the masterpiece treatment also. BTW, anyone have ideas for the holes in the forearms. They need to be there for transformation but can't quite figure out a good way to fill them without partsforming.
  11. I'm probably going there with Renato this Sunday. Just hope there's no fighting to get to things. And that the majority decided to take a shower that day.
  12. I've been looking everywhere for some well stocked shops that specialize in properties from the 80s or 90s especially places that might have Ghostbusters stuff. I know of the meager offerings that Nakano has to offer, like Robot+Robot, but are there any other places? Haven't found anything online. Hoping someone can help. Cheers.
  13. In the last line of the post, he points olut atht he modded the hips to allow for that. Looks much better.
  14. They have Quarters up the wazoo in the store just down the road from my place. All going for around 8000yen. Good thing too, since mine was damaged after that bloomin fall off my shelf.
  15. Just remember to get your shots and you won't have anything to worry about
  16. I think Renato and I BOTH have the worst luck. Funny, since the 11B is the most solid, well put together valk I have.
  17. Yep...my Quarter fell all of one foot off the bottom shelf of my display. Both the pointy what-nots on the end of the flight-deck snapped off as well as the four antenna on the back boosters. Graham is gonna have a field day with this latest mishap.
  18. Their fugliness was, in a twisted way, the thing I liked most about those designs.
  19. This is jumping the gun just a little, but I would LOVE to see Yamato eventually release an unpainted, white fire-valk ala the recent white VF1. There's nothing more Rock and Roll than custom paint jobs. Hell, i'd love to see repaints using all those unused alternate colour schemes that were proposed.
  20. This is why I wish there were more third party makers of Macross stuff. Transformers gets all the love in that department. Myself and another board member have been trying to realise this dream for the last two years but never quite get it off the drawing board. Speaking of my hopes for 1/60...gold paint for the shoulder-pads and bell-bottoms. The yellow on the Bandai just bugs me. Please, no elbow joints with umpteen pieces. The YF neede them because of the way the shoulder armour is made. The VF does not need such an elaborate system (just like the VF100)
  21. Heh. The Valkyries of Norse mythology are also the ones who decide who dies in battle. I'm just returning the favour.
  22. I totally regret getting mine. The head laser came off within a day of opening it. The hips joints are too floppy to acheive any pose other than "I need to pee" and the elbow joints pop apart if I don't squeeze them together as I turn the arm. Acidentally left mine in the sun on the stand in fighter mode and when I came back the nose cone had warped into a crook of a nose. Worst valkyrie evar.
  23. The posts i'm talking about. This pic shows the glue mishap that occured. I've since cleaned that crap off. But you can see how small those posts really are. They basically have little lips that grab onto either side of the slot. And they are TIIIIIIIINY. The arm on mine came off during transformation (i think) and would not reattach after coming out. If you have to remove the arm to attach the new pieces then I hope this doesn't happen to others.
  24. I'm like the Alien of the toy world. "Get away from that Valk you b#&ch!". I don't have any time to post a pic tonight. I'll have to do it tomorrow. I showed Renato and he was a little freaked by it. You can't see them unless the arm pulls off. They secure the arm to the shoulder. Basically the other end of the balljoint for the top of the upper arm.
