How easy is it to remove a DX Head?  I never tried, and I just realized I might have a problem

I saw that the armor just came with a 1J head, so I figured ok, I'll just use my Max 1A body as a stand-in, and throw the 1J head onto it, bam, I have a 1J in GBP armor.

Then the thought just came to me......the GBP armor probably doesn't come with the whole head/neck assembly, it might just be the 1J head top.

The 1A, the 1J, and the 1S have different necks, and it's not like the neck up just pops right off, and none of the heads are compatible with other necks.....craaaaaaaaaaaaap.  I guess I might have to go out abd buy a 1J afterall.

I think someone here mixed and matched a VF-1J head, MAX VF-A body and back to the VF-1J legs.

Wow.........so Paypal finally was forced to stop taking payments from them....good!  Too bad Paypal was complicit in the ripping off of several people world-wide for such a long time....oh well, I am sure not having paypal as an available payment option for overseas customers must be hurting their bottomline.....next up...closing down their business I hope!

Meh.. they'll probably just rebrand and we'd never know it. "NY closed?! Good riddance!! Hey everyone check out this new shop call YN!! They sell macross products too!"

With Macross, even if they are mostly color swaps with head variations, you're completing the team lineup. Metal Build hasn't even completed any lineup of the main roster and has been all about variants.

You have a really good point.

one) evil black repaint Astrea is pretty hot and I kinda want one.

two) giving it Dyames weapons is such a cruel tease.

yeah.. I kinda do to. My mind (and wallet) is saying no, but my body's saying yes!

hey, I also want my color swap and new head Eva-00

Me too and I'll take yellow or blue one. I don't care as long as the accessory is a giant shield or missile. I might even buy a yellow AND blue one.

What happened to the YF-19 you took out to put the 1D? 😁

I moved it to the other side of my display case. It’s still a work in progress. 8AC487E4-EAB4-4DAD-935E-D81D26F05D31.jpeg.55dabe831cf7fd644423d9aea6b7d165.jpeg

Same here. But after seeing those photos earlier made my jaw drop. What's usually the census for pricing on Blitzway product? Seeing that the height somehow close to the recent DXSoC Voltes V. Are we expecting somewhere north of $600+/-?

I think $600 is low for something with this much diecast and size. It weights 5lbs and is over 14" tall. Combines, includes a stand, painted pilots, light up eyes. I think we're looking at $800 to $999 for this to be honest.

Where did you get this display and do you think it will fit the factory diorama for the Nu ? I ask because I am also one of the people that Pre ordered 1 x Metal Structure 2x Fin FUnnels and 2x Londo Bell sets ( F*** the haters ) . I have no place to display it due to its size and how I dont want it covered in dust.

It's a DF30 from Moducase which is essentially 24"x24"x12". I don't think it's deep enough to support the 2x Fin Funnel stand behind it and it Might be a tight fit for 2x Londo Bell Sets. You can get one customized for you with dimensions that you want as they're very flexible. The biggest issue with Moducase is the wait time. Due to the pandemic it took over 1 year from purchase to delivery. I have ordered more cases and delivery was only slightly better at 10 months. There are other options you can go with that I'm sure will deliver sooner if this is all you plan on displaying in a case.

  7. @slaginpitTo each there own I suppose. I'm happy with my purchase and I'd do it again in a heartbeat if given the same choice today. If that makes me a city idiot in your eyes then so be it. :)Collecting toys has never made financial sense, nor is choosing a Mercedes over a Honda Civic. A grocery bag has virtually the same function as a Lois Vuitton Purse, A Casio watch tells the same time as a Rolex, etc etc. You're absolutely right from your perspective, world, and financial viewpoint, for your personal situation and taste.

For me, I enjoyed the rivalry between Char and Amuro from their first encounter with each other in a Zaku II/RX-78 in the original Gundam Series to the end/finale with the Sazabi/Nu in Char's Counter Attack. We have representations of these mechs in 1/144 and 1/100 but not too much in the 1/60 or higher scale that I prefer.

@carlsylarNice Zeta! I hope they come out with a Metal build or GFMMC of this in 1/100 scale. Preferably without transformation gimmick.

dont take it personality we all fall for it. So i include myself. But your idea of re-sale value, you really should rethink that. I tried selling Metal builds off No ONE will pay the SRP or the "collectors costs" You should think about how that works. When you factor scarcity, niche, population, supply, cost of living and disposable cash. I bet you i can sell my Sazabi, Strike, Buster, Kampfer etc for a lot more than i purchased for than you for your nu for more than you purchased it. Cheers

I'm not in the business of scalping as I collect for personal enjoyment. If I were, then maybe I'd keep everything MISB and purchase more than one. However, I'll bite and include all the factors you suggest. If I were to resell, I think I could get double the price I paid for each fin funnel set ($500 each vs total) and maybe upwards of $1500 or more for an opened/used Nu Gundam Metal Structure. This might be out of the price range you would be willing to pay but price isn't a factor for others. A quick glance on eBay would suggest I'm low balling my theoretical asking price as well. If only I had purchased two. One to display and one to sell MISB. The MISB set would have easily covered the cost of both and I would essentially be left with a 'free' Gundam.

I can kindof see your perspective when I think about the 1/144 scale Gundam made out of Titanium that Bandai sold recently. While this isn't something I would purchase personally, someone out there would. Good for them if they have the financial means to do so.

Still looking forward to that Sazabi Metal Structure.. Even if the price is $1500 MSRP.
