Is my mind playing tricks on me, or did they remold the complete lower legs to make them more slender?
You're right. The entire waist down looks to be completely remolded.

I wonder if this is some kind expansion or evolution to the 30 minute mission gunpla line. Seems like a lot of elements are re-used like Lego and just painted over to look like the mecha of choice. Looks interesting and fun.

Yes. Thanks @DYRL VF-1S! Smooth and easy transaction.

This is depressing.. Hopefully the demand for this thing is so high that they consider another production run like they do with a lot of their TWE items.

Glad you got a good one! We're one for three here. If I can't get that Metal Structure Sazabi I might just buy this as a consolation prize.

Man.. was so close.. disappeared at place order.

The MS Nu was offered by Bluefin and there was availability on toy dojo and bbts. I was able to acquire one at bbts and one was available for several months at toy dojo at a mark up after initial sale.
However, the funnels were tws exclusives.

Hopefully tomorrow I get to air it out. Yes definitely checking to see if everything fits and not broken. If anything is a miss, I’m covered.
Where did you buy it from if you don't mind my asking?

Make sure you open and and see if all the parts go together. I bought this a few years ago and one of the main cannons was broken and I couldn't even put the thing together because nothing fit right.
- Right cannon broken out of box
- left arm wouldn't peg in
- right leg wouldn't peg in so statue wouldn't light up.
I'm tempted to try again but I'm very nervous about it.
My experience here:

I also compared the weight of the Bandai DX and Voltron in case anyone was interested.
Voltron: 5 lbs 0.4oz
Voltes V: 3 lbs 4.2oz
Combattler: 3 lbs 9.8oz

Looks like they will also re-release the Nu based on the teaser at the very end of the video.

@carlsylar already has his and I’m 99% sure he has pics ready to post. He’s just not allowed to post anything until after July 30th.

On the other hand I have mixed feelings about who's bringing this to market. I loathe Toynami, am indifferent about Harmony Gold, but MoShow kicks ass. It will be interesting how this plays out.

Anyone saw this? It looks like they tried to copy Sentinel's idea, but looks much worst
I like the modern take. It's also larger at 9.5-10inches tall. I'm in if the quality is good and is more durable than Sentinel's.

Anyone here ever order Metal Build figures from USA Gundam Store know how much they generally lag behind places like HLJ? Waiting on my Eva 00 ☺️
I've ordered metal builds from them in the past. It usually takes a little over a month after JP release for US retailers to receive their items, however, that was Pre-COVID when items arrived and shipped from our ports in a timely manner.

I found this on BigBadToyStore that could work as a substitute for those of us who didn't manage to snag a pilot figure exclusive. I think the car is the main attraction but I'm in for the pilot figure. It's 1/24 scale too. There's also a Rick Hunter edition as well.

I think the Metal Build line was specifically and intentionally designed for @carlsylar personal enjoyment. His images and over the top load outs are always awesome.

So the excessive backpacks and options are actual cannon in the Gundam Seed series. You see it the Gundam Seed anime with the Strike Gundam and the manga creators ran with the concept. I would say Gundam Seed is very "backpack heavy" compared to other Gundam series. I imagine this works well for Bandai because they can make one Strike/Astray MB figure and keep re-selling it with a new backpack. Personally I passed on the previous Strike releases. However I will pre-order the IWSP pack and get an MB Strike for it.
Also all in for the Strike Noir, I love the design and OVA.
Fair point. Options are definitely nice to have. But holy crap look at this image.

I find it oddly ironic/hilarious that for macross we have super specific fast/super/armor packs for our VF-31s while the metal build Strike/Astray line continue to get new backpack/accessories. I have one Aile Strike as well as Red/Blue/Black/White Astrays that already came with a backpack but we have like 10 different accessories now that we can mix and match in addition to the already provided accessories.
Is this really what the metal build infinity was meant to be?
