This is fabulous, clean work, and it really makes me wish Aoshima had given these kits proper cockpits.

    The panel-lining is sublime.

Thank you guys! And I agree it would have been cool if Aoshima had included the option to build it for display in fighter mode with a real cockpit and perhaps even with some landing gear.

  2. It took me some time but today I managed to finish the VF31-D Skuld fighter at least :) Perhaps I start with the VF Girl tomorrow as well when I find the time.

The VF-31D is by now the eye-catcher between my two other VFG VF-31. Now Bandai, please give us a 1/60 DX version of the Skuld!!!

  3. When I look at mine I think those parts are unpainted plastic with matte finish. I don't know, but as the coat contains acrylates I hope it does not work like superglue. It maybe hard to remove it without damaging the surface if possible at all?!

  4. Glue seems to be an issue with the SV-51 indeed. Tried to attach the rocket under the wing and the fuselage of the rocket fell right off although I did not use much force at all. Obviously they use only very little amount of glue and even on painted surfaces again. Although I love this Valk and its looks while on display, but now I get disappointed concerning its high price  with all quality issues occurring in the past weeks.

Looks like I'm one of the unlucky ones to get both of the same ankles. I've written to NY and hope that they can get me a replacement unit.

Got mine from NY today as well and it has this issue, too :(. If there'll be replacement parts, ok. But I won't send it back as for me it is only a minor fault.

Great shot and you're correct in that it fits with the Gernsback stupid well. Is yours seriously that blue though? It's a completely different shade than mine.

No, in reality mine is the same color as in your pics. I took that picture with my iPhone within a LED-Photobooth and used the quick enhancement filter on it.

Btw. I have to say it again Kuma, your pictures are amazing :good:

  7. At first I thought I would build myself a V.F.G fighter squadron but now I‘ll get a Zentran sadomasochistic Valkyrie Racing team with a fetish for catgirls?!

Now I wanna see this as an anime

The 31D is also a two seater, so the valk itself is a little different.

According to the pictures it seems to me the „two seater“ parts are only the plates for the foot rests in the engine compartments. The rest of the fighter seems to be just the same  mold as the VF-31A

At last, with the vf-25 they are giving us a handheld gun. Finally!!!

Hopefully! It‘s really anoying that the gun of the VF-31 is melt to the rocket pod. And even more the part is only used in fighter :fool:

  10. As we still have to wait for the VF-25 and VF-31D I grabbed a VF-31J Anniversary during the last NY sales event. But I don't like those Macross Anniversary color schemes and the color schemes in the VF-31 Master File book are all white or light grey - A little bit boring. So I went for a scheme from the VF25 Master File: Underside all black and upper side dark gray. #did some quick shots but unfortunately the color contrast between black and grey is hard to notice due to LED lighting. In day light it looks just like shown in the book :unknw:. Was again fun to build, both fighter and girl ^_^. Can't  wait for the next VFG releases, going for a full VFG squadron at least.

Great pic Saburo. All green - Ready for take-off...

BTW tomorrow by 3 pm I should have mine in hangar, too :)

Glaug is also the Marauder from Battletech, Because FASA...... "the unseen" is an interesting google-dive for those unfamiliar with BT.

Exactly. In the beginning the Marauder always has been my favorite mech, but I never got hands on a big model matching my Madcat. But thanks to FASA "stealing" it over from Macross the HM-R Glaug now can serve for Macross as well as for BT. Of course Macross always will be top priority that's why I put the U.N.Spacy logo on the Madcat.
