Thank you guys for the positive feedback! The gun is done! I cut down the mount to the correct height. The "bottling factory" or ammo handling section below deck is included too. It should be two rows of ammo, but I ran out of ammo, so only one row. The bottom piece was a tire machined down. I got the rotary table alignment off so the pieces are slewed slightly, but no one will ever see it besides you guys (sshhh). The whole assembly is hollow and lightweight all the way through to reduce weight on the boat. It only weighs ten grams. I love the Oto Melara so I thought I'd go all out on it. 120 rounds a minute at 3,000 FPM! That's a lot of steel raining down. It is also an effective CIWS system too. - MT
What else can I say, great work - again! It's a pity to see that the ammo section won't be visible any more. How did you make the ammo shells?

Evolution by merging two old designs . As I just remember now from old Mechwarrior 2 Game: Madcat is the name the Inner Sphere Forces gave to that Mech, the Clanners call it Timberwolf.
To get back to topic: the camouflage painting is done, just started assembly of the legs and then heading for applying the decals.

Wow, the gun looks awesome. I modeled a 20 mm Oerlikon gun with 2 or 3 lathed parts some years ago, but I'll never get this depth in detail. Great work, can't wait to see the finished ship!

Damn Clanners are everywhere!!
I Fight for the Dragon, I Live for the Dragon & I Die for the Dragon.
House Kurita, Always!Oh, I give a damn on Clans, too. I only like taking over their technology. Even into other series like Macross

Looks like a cross between a Glaug, Tomohawk, Regult and a Gnerl's nose.
Now you're mention this, I see some similarities, too. Whereas the first Battletech Mech's were almost exact copies of Macross Battroids, at least the later ones like the Mad Cat seem to be mix-ups to not violate copyright .

I totally forgot about this kit and when cleaning up my cellar lately it fell on my foot again:
Resin-Kit Battletech Mad Cat from Armorcast
As it is 1/60 scale, it will look great aside the DX valks.
I bought this kit around the year 2000 and started working on the resin parts. Now I can go straight for painting. I have decided to put on the same camouflage paint scheme as on my 1/100 scale Mad Cat from Ral Partha I painted right before I bought this kit. Note the U.N. Spacy signs I put on in a time I had no relation to Macross/Robotech any more.
But I’m still undecided about which decals I’ll put on. I have some left from the Yamato VE/VT-1 (water slide), so I could put the Battlemech also in U.N. Spacy service like its smaller version.

Out of curiosity. What shipping method did you guys used?
Mine came via EMS. First time I chose this option. Laid only 2 days in customs. But I‘m from Germany, customs times may differ from US.

Despite the delivery for the VF-31C was really fast, some time ago I had one taking 2 weeks to make it through customs. I know it‘s hard, but sometimes you have to be patient

Yeah, right, wished I had those Fold Crystals in my car as I had to wait one hour in a traffic jam today.

My VF31C is already in the country but the post office seems to be taking their time in delivering it. Been waiting for days now. #ThirdWorldProblems
That's cruel. Mine luckily made it fast through customs and rests already on its shelf .

Finally its done and I really love this machine . In real life it looks way better than I expected. Don't know why I didn't finish this kit earlier .
