  1. Considering that at 33,000 and 35,000 they sold out in minutes, or possibly seconds, I don't blame them. Glad I managed to pick up the 33,000 one.
  2. One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just doesn't belong. I just can't get past the McDonalds color scheme and how they actually put a face on a veritech...
  3. I got the opened one, so it's probably got some defects (a scalper would have sold sealed). I'll take a look in a few hours when I'm not at work.
  4. Just got a release date email from NY: 4/28
  5. Always need more Macross Plus. ALWAYS
  6. I have mine sharing a box with a VF-1A from NY, so I had to pay for them together.
  7. I still want a Maruyama, but not about to spend ¥28,000 on the only one they have in stock (opened, too), at least not for a few months to recover from 31a, Premium SDF, and various other things. I really hope they come out with more 262s, even if they don't make a ver 1.5 (though that'd be great given how much better the transformation on the 1/72 model is).
  8. I meant to use Mandarake, because the price he listed was totally gouging. Mandarake is awesome.
  9. Try Mandarake? That's totally gouging.
  10. That's a typical explanation for delayed production, or lower produced volumes. Also the top-coat flaws which are seen in multiple copies in the same, or similar, locations. it's a supposition, not a fact.
  11. Remember: This is supposed to an item with direct web-sales from Bandai, not something sold by third party vendors. Japanese culture/customer service is a bit different than American/Western customer service.
  12. So it sounds like Bandai had a QC/yield issue and is having to ship them off the assembly line as they're done.
  13. On the bright side, just got confirmation and paid for an opened/box damaged VF-31a from Mandarake. So no more worries about if NY will/won't eventually ship. Downside is it cost $350 incl EMS, compared to the $230ish my NY order was. About to contact the ebay seller I had a 2nd on order from, and pester them again.
  14. Because Bandai is most definitely aware that there are 3rd party vendors selling their TWC items, and probably know exactly who they are as well. Also it'd be a lot easier to come to agreement with a few large order holders than multiple small order holders.
  15. Frankly, my own suspicion is that Bandai realized the production/yield issues, and offered large buyers a discount for delayed delivery, and NY took it to save some cash.
  16. What country are you in? If you count shipping to the US, any of the ones I've seen sell on YJA would exceed that. The ones from Mandarake are pretty close (35000yen+4500shipping)
  17. Apart from the one that needs to come off to access the battery compartment, I'd just glue the other two on. Then shave the remaining one a bit so it fits better. Haven't done it to mine (yet) though.
  18. Yeah, the arms in general could have used a bit more engineering, but I still don't regret it with how great it looks, and how solid the rest of it is.
  19. It was up for less than 60seconds I think, since my alerts didn't catch it.
  20. The DX Gipsy Danger is just so satisfyingly heavy and solid. Shame the arms are a bit limited in their motion though.
  21. It's from the movie, same with the VF-31 w/ Drakkens.
  22. I use Distill Web Monitor (on chrome), refreshing at 1min intervals, with audio and email alert (and the emails give an audio alert on my phone).
  23. Well, just gave in and ordered one from Mandarake. If I end up getting mine properly from Ebay/NY I'll probably sell one of them. ¥33,000. Opened, package dirty. (Behold the power of a web-monitor plugin)
  24. Oops, wrong thread.
