  1. Thanks, that's roughly what I figured, but wanted a sanity-check.
  2. What's a reasonable price to pay for an unopened Yamato 1/48 VF-1J Hikaru super?
  3. That's one of the recent HGBD (Build Divers) kits, the Grimoire Red Beret. Repainted.
  4. I've been wearing the same pair of frames for about 3 years now? I swap it out with a new frame every 5 years or so. A good pair of frames isn't cheap, and I tend to get thin wire oval frames that don't really go with or against outfits.
  5. I got a used VF-171EX Alto from them that had the cap on one of the wing hinges broken off. Didn't complain, as it was cheap and hidden.
  6. Ah, well whoever got them got a damn good deal then. Kinda wish I hadn't glossed over it.
  7. Wow, that was cheap for a VE-1 and VT-1.
  8. Luca's 171 didn't have any armored parts, however the valk itself comes with both the clean wings, and the wings with hardpoints. I just threw some VF-171 Cannon Fodder supers on it. If you want ghosts, you can either get the RVF-25 Renewal supers+ghost set, or the ghost set for the original RVF-25.
  9. Email from NY says release date for the VF-31C Supers has been changed to 2018-05-28. No word on the VF-31a.
  10. Hikaru is an odd way to spell Roy I'd totally be on board for a 1/48 scale fighter-only diecast VF-1S, both normal and Strike.
  11. Yeah, I'm probably in for a VF-1S. I don't mind if it doesn't transform, if it looks good and is still cheaper than an Arcadia.
  12. Worth the wait. Glad one of my pre-orders finally showed up.
  13. My ebay seller came through with my pre-order. Just showed up today, was shipped late last week.
  14. The darker blue on the Titans version will show nub marks a bit more. That said, I preferred the darker color scheme.
  15. I think they remove it to better protect it during shipping. It's pretty fragile.
  16. RG MK II is probably one of the easiest and sturdiest kits. The RG Astray Red Frame is pretty good also (careful with the waist peg though).
  17. Progressive reloading setups aren't cheap. Still less spent than my friend that's collecting late 1800s-WW2 bolt actions though.
  18. It's more expensive than my plastic model hobby, but roughly the same as my shooting hobby.
  19. It started for me with a business trip to Japan, spent the last half-day before my flight out in Akihabara, and went my Mandarake. Ended up buying an Alto Super VF-25 V1 pack. Then after that a couple HMRs (Max and Milia), and the Arcadia YF-19 when it was on sale from HLJ. Now I've got all 4 VF-25s from Skull Squadron (Tornado 25G, Armor 25S, Super RVF-25, Tornado 25F V1), Luca and Alto VF-171 w/ supers, 30th VF-29 w/ supers, VF-19 advance, YF-25, Macross Quarter, Koenig Monster, robot spirits Klan Queadluun, Vf-27 renewal, a couple Arcadia VF-1s, Yamato Tomahawk, Yamato YF-21, Yamato anniversary YF-19, Yamato VF-0A, both Arcadia SDF-1, SV-262, VF-31 super (Mirage and Hayate), 2 VF-31a (second one just arrived a few hours ago). Plus various pre-orders. Then the entire shelf of HMR stuff. Still need some non-missile Regults though. Frontier is arguably my favorite Macross TV series.
  20. ...I counted it up, and I'm probably in around $13k or so, over maybe 2 years. A good portion of that is both SDF-1 figures though.
  21. Spudgers are good, if you can get it under the edge.
  22. So, gotta ask, what's the story with the 31a? Late arriving pre-order, or did you buckle and pay the current prices?
