The oldest Macross I have is the Chunky Monkey and the little crappy transforming one. I can still crack heads with no issue to the toy as far as Chunkys go. The little one did break at one of the arm sliders but only after years of taking it with me everywhere and transforming it countless amount of times. It should still work to this day (if I could find it) but I just need to hold the arm in place. MP-47...I don't know, I heard and seen issues with that so I have been careful with mine but I've let my kids play with it and I'm looking at it right now with zero breaks or disintegrations. Again, I guess I'm just lucky?

Ouch! Well, I'm glad it hasn't happened to my toys. I've got most my toys from childhood and I can't think of any that have what you've described happen. Worst I can think of is broken o-ring bands in GI Joe figures and some crappy Go Bots that had parts come off but did not "disintegrate".

Oh ok, lol! FWIW, if I remember correctly, my Flightpose stand came in a branded box that was shipped in another shipping box. If anything, that's the only thing Flightpose has on Yeti but even for a box hoarder like myself, I don't really care what my stands come in as long as they come in good condition/not damaged.

I often read about toys "literally crumbling" and don't get it. I don't doubt parts may break and luckily, none of mine have but I can't imagine what the scenario could be where a toy made within the last few decades, stored in a box could "literally crumble". Maybe I'm taking it to "literally" because I'm imagining these things turning to dust like they got Thanos'd.

Agree with all this except I'm curious about "the way it's packaged and presented is just top notch"...My orders come in a usps flat rate box with the contents wrapped in bubble wrap. Has he been doing something different since? It doesn't matter to me but just curious as I thought that was an odd point to add if it is still the same as how I got mine.

Your most recent Macross or toy purchase! General thread.

Hmmm, that isn’t too bad. $200 each and less for most of them if you say Max was the biggest chunk. I’m almost tempted to look for some. -
Crap! I thought I saw people using the hands with the 0 gunpod. Oh well...end of day, I’m not too worried about it. Yeah, it would have been nice if it came with fixed hands but obviously not a deal breaker.

Wow, that probably cost a pretty penny. Well worth it! -
Oh very nice size indeed!

I soon as I read this, I thought this Or many other methods to make it work pretty easily.
-
That’s my only issue with them too. I think the 1/60 hands fit but I never tried yet.

Man, I love all the main Valk releases...Chunky is not just the best Valk but the best toy ever made. Yamato 1/48 is so simple, quick and easy to transform...I still enjoy just grabbing that off a shelf and handling the most, plus those special decos are fantastic! V2 1/60 still feel like the best overall quality toy toy to me with such precision. DX 1/48 is the culmination of all that came before with some improvements but also some steps back resulting in still the best engineered VF-1 ever but not anywhere close to replacing any of the previous ones to me.

1/48+fp's, 1/60+fp's, 1/72, 1/2k, 1/3k,1/100 and now 1/144

Nice! It’s always great to open a box and find goodies you forgot about. -

Haha, cool! I’m sure you’ll paint that prize and look forward to seeing it. -
I’m not a fan of that stand either. The base looks like a repurposed Flightpose and who want a ugly black arm for their stand?

Nice! What was the winning pose? -
I was swearing off Calibre Wings because I hate the fiddly parts that fall off if you look at them funny. Have they made any improvements to the ordinance and landing gear connections? I still don’t think I want to buy any more but it would be good to know if they are improving their products. That elevator is pretty cool though! @kaiotheforsaken, this just gives you an excuse to buy some Kitzconcept Valks to display together!

Heck yeah! I've been waiting a lifetime for a great Legioss/Tread combo and this is going to be it. I'm in for every color of the rainbow and then some.
-
Well his is a Bandai DX thread so what else would we talk about? The Sentinel Legioss is fantastic by the way. If it helps at all, it has actually been overshadowing my DX Valks since I got it.
-
Same here, lol! I think I may have clicked the right spot on accident before to get the desired results but never paid enough attention to know what was actually working or not.
-
Lol, nice!
-
The important thing here is....how did you get the personal specs of each individual on the plane?
-
Lol, I have 4 flavors from a local famous 100 year old ice cream parlor in the freezer at all times and I just bought a $50 ice cream cake for one of my kid's birthday. For me it's more, more, more, more, more! And if it isn't toy toys, it's comic book, vacations, audio gear, cars and car parts....it's endless except my space is finite yet I somehow keep finding ways to fit more into the mix.
-
Haha, even if I were in that situation, my brain isn't wired that way. If there is an option for me to pay less for the same item, that always means more money for more toys to me.
