Got my Audi fix And this little guy it’s exactly as I remember it (yeah, not much going on to begin with to change) but one of my favorites and I got a discount since the package was opened. When I find my original, one of them will go to the kids. -

Hopefully I'll open them this week. Initial thought without opening is they are very hefty. Heavier than I thought they would be. This will give me a good reason to open PF VE-1! -

Sweet! Need one more for Gerwalk mode

Nice, hopefully I’ll have my Zero shelf ready soon too.

Waiting for pics of detolf.

Very nice and congrats @Saburo! It’s cool they included more plates and translucent ceiling but I really want those translucent wall dividers in the OG design. Either way, I’ll probably end up ordering at least one. Consider me enabled after just swearing off buying any more of these things.

Don’t want to take this much further where but just going to say I wish all these toys were cheaper but I don’t think greed has too much to do with Arcadia’s prices. More likely economies of scale for what amounts to a small boutique company doing this for the love compared to a multinational giant in Bandai.

So these KO are PF? Hmmmm, I would have but on that eBay listing since it comes in at my magic number of under $100 but after reading the last couple posts, I think I’ll pass for now. PF Valks with super/Strike parts for under $100 will get me all in on them if it ever happens though.

Right, the movies never touched that but thinking about it like you did, I came to that conclusion. It’s no matter, just thinking out loud mostly and wondering what other takes would be. The best response I’ve heard is the fact that everything a person had on them dusted along with them, which doesn’t make much sense to begin with since inanimate objects like clothes and weapons dusted even though they are not “life”. Given this, I’m just going to chalk the whole thing up to creative license and leave it at that.

It seems like Bandai may have learned from this and now make a lot of head lasers removable and even sometimes include extras.
-
Nice to hear they all survived. I've had a bunch of my stuff fall from 5-7 feet onto hard floos with no damage as well. SHMA Gidorah, DX VF-31, a bunch of HMR, Yamato 1/48. So far out of those, the only damage was a head laser on the Yamato 1/48. Not too bad for a bunch of toys most people consider delicate.

You could probably get by on two sets in that case.
-
Each set comes with 4 background and 4 base plates. If you look at most of @Saburo 's pics, he has at least 24 backplates and maybe double or more floor plates. So you would need at least 6 sets but possibly 12 or more sets to do what he is doing. Plus, he has those sweet translucent parts that go between the background plates and the other ones for ceiling that all work for lighting. So, you basically have to spend a 1/60 or 1/48 x2 Valks worth to get something not as good as what @Saburo has. Based on this, I basically gave up on buying any more of the sets for now, lol!

Thanks!

Whatever, it was just a thought. Plus, entertainment as an art form inspires thought that can relate to reality.

Not to get political but had a thought the other day about IW and EG...the “snap” basically puts a definitive end on the whole when does life begin debate. There is no way in hell the snap caused fetuses to disappear out of wombs or expecting mothers to disappear leaving a fetus. Just saying.

The Gatchaman toy I’ve waited my whole life for?
Slave IV replied to Slave IV's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Finally opened this Had to evaluate it since I saw the Gatchaman 2 version just went up for preorder. Overall, I'm satisfied as it does everything I need and want out of a God Phoenix toy. It seems like a decent update to the Unifive. I can however see that anything slightly more complicated would have been a complete disaster for Evolution Toy's abilities. It's ridiculous that they went through a complicated design for the stands and the stand parts fit are so tight, I could barley put them together but then the shaped parts to attach the toys to don't actually attach at all, the planes just loosely lay on top. WTF?! But, since the stand is my biggest complaint, that's not too bad compared to how bad it could have been. These are definitely overpriced but still worth it to me as a huge Gatchaman fan. Needless to say, God Phoenix 2 preordered and I am glad to finally be able to get two of my all my favorite ships from one of my all time favorite anime completed!- 79 replies
