I actually do that already. It's how I got my pre-order for the VF-31J and Keith's Draken. Although those times I was lucky in that I was able to keep refreshing the store page (I had spare time). Keith's Draken was a major pain though due to it not showing up for order at 4pm japan time, while searching for 'chogokin' at HLJ. Luckily the good folk on this forum provded the url. I haven't signed up for figinstock because I usually check stores on my own every day. Plus by the time its been updated, the pre-order window could have closed.

Mirage would be great as it'd mean I could stop having to worry about pre-ordering her anymore, and save up money for other things instead. But if that red custom from about were to occur I'd probably crawl up in a ball and cry Damn this plastic crack of a hobby

That custom Mirage looks great! If it gets a DX Chogokin treatment it'll be hard to pass up. Seriously, that colour scheme is just the best! It reminds me of this cool Transformer I bought in the early 2000's Speaking of DX Chogokins, I wonder what the next one will be. And when will it go live for pre-order? I'm guessing either the last day of this month or the start of next month. Hopefully HLJ doesn't mess up again, like Keith's Draken. It should have just appeared in the search results for 'chogokin' from the start. By the time they fixed that, it was sold out and a lot of people missed out.

It can't go for pre-order tonight! I need to go shopping! Ugh! HLJ when!! Also I really want to know how far the knee bends in battle mode, because while I'll still buy it, it'd suck if it can't bend back at all Can anyone who read Japanese confirm whether the sketch notes mention the knees at all. Hmm. I might have to check out Macross Plus, as that clip alone looks way better than anything in Delta. -
Now that the Draken is out of the way, I only need the VF-31C and I can start saving money again I do wonder how the remaining VF-31's will fare now considering how the show ended up. Messer's will probably sell quickly due to it being piloted by the lead male, but will Mirage's still be popular enough to sell out quickly, considering how poorly written her character was. Maybe people will just ignore the characters and just buy based on the colour used. Like, personally I find Chuck's VF-31 really cool looking due to the yellow. Not a fan of Arad's though. It's just seems a little...Christmasy?

Why didn't this just show up in the Chogokin search results page on HLJ? It's got the word in its product title so it should show but didn't at the time. Had I not did a quick browse in this thread while refreshing I would have missed it. So annoying. Anyway, so this is the third time I've ordered a Chogokin (1 SOC and 2 DX) and I'm wondering if all Bandai products go up for pre-order at 4pm japan time, or just the DX Chogokins. I'm curious because one morning I noticed the upcoming SOC GX-70 Mazinger was available for pre-order somewhere around 6am or 7am the day it went up.

Thanks for sharing this link. I was refreshing both my search results and the front page but nothing was showing. Managed to get one and got the email confirmation as well. Still not very fond of the Battroid mode, but Gerwalk mode is nice enough. Mainly got ordered it because fighter mode looks fantastic and the transformation looks neat.

After the final episode of Delta, I'm seriously tempted to not bother with pre-ordering this. If I manage to get a pre-order I could always cancel later, so there's that. But right now I'm just super bummed out about how bad the series ended up being.

God damn did this series end poorly. I mean sure Freya fans get their ship, but the writing, pacing, plot holes, and character development for the rest of the show just plain sucked. Despite not seeing any of the other Macross series, apart from DYRL and Frontier, I feel like Delta is the Spider-man 3 of the franchise. It was doomed to fail from the moment Kawamori didn't get to do his initial pitch. And so he made a ham fisted effort to please his bosses, and shoved in as many characters and plots as possible and called it a day. I was also really disappointed with how Mirage was handled throughout the series. Sure she finally got good at flying, but it came out of nowhere and didn't feel earned. Also the love triangle was crap. There was no misdirection at all. She lost all the way back in the birthday episode, which was ages ago. At least Ranka had a chance in winning Alto and actively made an effort to be relevant to the plot. Which is really disappoint considering I genuinely enjoyed the first 12 episodes. I think if I ever decide to buy the remaining 5 blu ray volumes, I'll wait until I can get them second hand for cheap, because $105AUD for each volume is a hard pill to swallow, and that's not even counting shipping. I will however still be purchasing the albums, because despite the series major flaws I still enjoy the music. -

I'm so exhausted by this series. I've been trying to like the second half but it's so draining. I'm honestly considering not ordering the remaining 5 blu ray volumes. In fact I regret buying the first 4. I wish I had hunted down all the Frontier blu rays instead. Like, ANOTHER info dump? Sure it was only in the first half but still! It's right before the finale! And Freya's troubles continue to pile up each episode. From dead parents to escaping a forced marriage to failing walkure to traitor to yada yada, ENOUGH already! What could have made the war feel like an actual galaxy spanning war was the possibility of large NUNS fleet battle, and they quickly destroy it. AGAIN. It sucked when Keith and Heinz did it and it sucks again when mind controlled Mikumo did it too. Also, god damn am I sick of Mirage getting brushed aside to the curb. She was supposed to be one of the 3 lead characters and has been given nothing. Sure Herman's advice was nice and all last episode, but we've only got one remaining episode left and whatever achievement she has in ep 26 will feel like an asspull. God this series is just so frustrating! -
Uuugh! The temptation! On one hand I clearly can't afford more than two Macross Delta DX Chogokins at the moment and I've already ordered one. On the other hand this will no doubt be really cool and cost an arm and a leg in the after market. The money I've been setting aside thus far has been for the inevitable VF-31C, but since this is clearly going to be released before that, I may be safe using that money for the Draken III. Plus I would have until March next year to cancel/raise the money for the VF-31C again. So I guess...I'll be taking part in the pre-order madness. Hopefully my phone's internet will be sufficient during the web traffic on the main online stores

Kabaneri wasn't completely bad. If it had just stopped introducing new abilities after the sword-wielding kabane, and just focused on the survival theme, it would have been great. Plus it gave us Yukina's muscles On topic though, Chaos really needs to stop relying on the main cast to do infiltration. They really suck at it. They should have just tried to squeeze all the Walkure members in their 3 VFs and fought their way to the relic. -
That's probably it. Also how do you guys think the knee articulation will work on SOC Daizyujin? The Tyrannosaurus appears to have hollow thighs, so I'm wondering it there'll be a some sort of transformation to give Daizyujin a proper knee bend. Or maybe it's just to give the thighs a more compact appearance and there'll either be an additional joint to attach, or the leg zords will have the joint tucked inside them.

I need C, even though her pilot has been pretty lackluster for 21 episodes. Although I am still hopeful she'll be redeemed by the end. Plus I just really like the design, and it'd look great next to the J

Damn for a moment I was hoping the new post would be about SOC Daizyujin and when the date pre-orders go live. I'm passing on this Mazinger. I already have 3 of them in SRC form, including Mazinkaiser. Plus this new one kind of looks a bit odd for some reason. Also the SRC has better elbow joints that collapsed for further bend; also it's not impossible that this one could have something similar, but the pics don't show any evidence other than the hinge used for that weird upper arms cannon thing.

Sucks the omakes don't have subtitles. Hopefully the textures will be redone for later volumes, particularly the shots of planets. Serious they looked like jpgs in the broadcast. -
