  1. I enjoyed the series......I am sure that if I had a correct and good subbing of the series, I would enjoy it a whole lot more. I think a lot of the episodes were really good with good action and character development. I also think the mecha action was quite good....look at the high points. 1. The VF-19..I love the ATF planes, although i dont really enjoy the stubby wing effect. 2. The VF-22S Sturmvogel II...This plane is the bomb, especially piloted by Max Jenius. 3. The VF-11C Full Armor...nuff said. 4. As was mentioned before...the extra stuff that you did not see with anything else Macross. I hope that maybe the next Macross series will have all the extra goodies that Macross 7 had. I also think that this series really helped me to understand the Protoculture a lot better. I do though have some questions of my own....why would Max and Millia leave all their children save Mylene behind? That is something the bothered me the most about it....but I suppose that would be too many characters. I think that the VF-11 is an awesome valk....why did they have to turn it into the Ford Pinto of the Macross universe? Twich
  2. I am going to wait and see....I dont really enjoy the name and I would hope that they would not aim this at the "kiddie" level, but rather at the level their fanbase is at now.....approching 30 or more. Twich
  3. I noticed that too...but I thought it was some future form of a Rockeye canister. Something that releases a whole bunch of sub-munitions. In the next shot after that both Isamu and Guld evade to avoid the "particles" for lack of a better word. Maybe they ignite and would burn through the armor of the valks if it were to hit them. For all we know it could be chunks of Magnesium or phosphate..something that burns really hot and will not stop burning until it is out of fuel. I guess only Kawamori could tell us for sure....but I think that it would make for a good topic to discuss. Larry
  4. Nanashi, I was in no way trying to diminish what you have accomplished or appear ungrateful for what you post on this site. I always look forward to your posts. I was just saying that Drew was correct....the Mothership is not in scale with the rest of the ships. That's all. Thanks for all the stuff you have done and continue to do! Larry
  5. I think that maybe the first "mother ship" is not supposed to be in scale with all the rest, but the rest of them are supposed to be in scale with one another.....I dont know. But you are correct Drew. Larry
  6. What I meant by Vertical Stabs was Tail Fins...I was saying that the whole backpack section appears to be removed in favor of this laser "doohicky" I see that it has tail fins(sort of) on the laser module. Twich
  7. Well, it is definately interesting, to say the least.....but I guess this also makes the VF-0B an official valk? I guess they had to do some MAJOR retrofitting to the design of the Valk to get it to work....it looks like the backpack and the vertical Stabs and the head have been replaced/removed by this laser device. As I said, kinda interesting, but I sure hope that is not the plane that we see Shin and Edgar in, in the next episode. Larry

    CG VF-11

Looking really good....too bad the VF-11 does not get the love that the other valks do like the VF-19 and VF-22S....It has the potential to be so much, but is just cannon fodder in MAcross 7...except for the Full Armor version. That thing is so awesome. Looking forward to your complete WIP. Larry
  10. Damn, that was some of the funnest gaming experience with their Star Wars system.....god, I had so many of their books and they had so much stuff for the Universe....too bad WotC doesnt put out as much stuff as West End Games did. I met some of the artists that did the star wars book for west end....played in one of their games....Bill something or other was his name...pretty cool game. It was at a con, so it didnt last long. Wonder what games they are going to put out? Wonder if WotC is going to lose the contract for Star wars and West End will get it back. Larry
  11. Congrats Graham! May your job as father be filled with much joy and happiness for the rest of your life and may your child grow up to be strong and healthy and a lover of Macross! Larry
  12. Just barely got home from watching it......I really liked the film and the way that they presented it. I dont know living in American and all, but is that the way that British kids style their hair? Both Harry and Ron seemed a bit odd. But, I guess that is hollywood for you. I hope that they still use all the same cast for the remaining films, as I think that they can pull off being 17 when they are in their 20's unless they really start trashing themselves up by being rich and famous stars and all the drugs and boose and wild living that follows...LOL (Carrie Fisher anyone?) Twich
  13. Just got done watching the subbed version.....I really liked it, but it seemed rather shorter than the other ones.....does anyone know the running time in comparison to the other eps? I have to agree that Roy getting shot down and his VF-0S getting trashed does rather nicely line him up for his VF-1S.... I really dont know what happened to Edgar....it would be nice to have that story element rapped up one way or another....but we did see that he did parachute out....and we didnt see him captured with the others. I am eagerly anticipating the next ep...it says that it does come out Spring 2004 Twich
  14. Hey Graham, I didnt know that you liked the Stampede Valk.....That is a good design, but I am doubtful it would come out. I would love to see the reissue of the YF/VF-19 and a totally new YF-21/VF-22S I am in love with that valk, but I dont dare to transform my YF-21 FP I like the little VF-0S....but I would definately like something that is a little bigger and doesnt have to be taken apart...but until then, I am happy with what they are offering...it could be worse, they could not be offering anything. Larry
  15. Apon seeing the Battroid Pics and the Gerwalk pic, I am REALLY excited about this toy! I cant say that enough! I am also excited for the Macross Zero Toys! I wonder when we are going to have a painted version to look at? Larry
  16. Vinnie, You live in Vermont? Damn....I live in South Burlington....right near the airport and I hear the Green Mountain Boys all the time....I also watch all the helicopters from Camp Johnson taking off and doing maneuvers.....I always wondered why Blackhawks were hovering over residential areas though.....? David, Thanks for that info...I didnt know that the Green Mountain Boys were the first to fly CAP over NYC after 9-11. I think that they still fly expecting trouble because as I said before, they are always louded with 2 fuel tanks and a full compliment of missles. Larry
  17. Hey David, Do you know anything about the "Green Mountain Boys"? That is the Vermont Air National Guard squadron that flies over my house everyday....they fly the F-16 and they always go up with drop tanks and full missle compliment....they usually go up in pairs, but I have seen 4-6 regularly. Also, I see F/A -18's and A-10's occasionally. I have even seen a F-15 fly around here occasionally. Can you tell me what block these planes are? I wonder how old they are...Hmmm Larry
  18. Wasn't it the F-105 Thunderchief....nicknamed the "Thud" Twich

    D20 Macross

So Uhh....Now that we have had d20 mecha for quite a while and all this stuff.....does anyone have any stats for the Mecha? I am talking VF-19 and VF-22S and the like....I want to play this game, but I am unsure about what the stats should be. Any ideas? Thanks Larry
  20. Wow!!! Seeing this makes me want to get the Yamato 1/100 Koenig Monster even more when it comes out. Whoever built this has some sort of skills....damn. Larry
  21. Thanks for the awesome pics and info guys...i am really looking forward to the VF-0S and the VB-6 Koenig Monster. Now that I have a new job, maybe I can afford it. Larry
  22. Having been an avid gaming fan, I have to say that I am more excited about the stuff that was shown at this years E3 than I have been for the past 3 or 4 years. I am particularly excited about the PSP and Nintendo DS. I hope more news about all those great games is forthcoming. Twich
  23. While I do hope that Yamato fixes the leg-peg-joint type thing on the final product, I am still extremely pleased that we are getting a toy line for Mac 0. Just my 2 cents Larry
  24. I am really excited about the prospects that are coming soon. The Nintendo DS, the PSP, the new games for the cube and PS2 and XBox. I am really very excited about the prospect of a New Metal Gear Solid Game for this PSP! The Zelda game looks awesome...might even get me to buy it. Halo 2 looks pretty good too. Cant wait until we get the full story from E3. Larry
  25. IT said I was Lynn Minmay...I am too ashamed to show a picture....I think I shall now go jump off a bridge somewhere.... I am not a female...Honest! How embarassing! LOL Larry
