a professional video gaming device? yes if i'm carrying something around i want it to look like it means buisness. i know it's for playing videogames but that doesn't mean it has to look like it was made for kids. i mean... look at the psp. it looks like something for adults, it looks like a professional peice of hardware. the DS looks like a kids toy. big bulbous buttons, smoothed out safty edges. so yeah.

I dunno. I've read the comic and seen the show, I have to say I thought it to be a fairly faithful adaptation. i hated it because it was on a channel that should be devoted to music. anything on MTV that isn't a music video should burn in hell. the maxx as a vhs tape in my living room is fine, but on mtv as a show, it's pure evil.

I think i was able to peice togeather the story for episode 5 given the images posted on page one. it is a deeply moving peice.. i added dialouge to help. \/

i doubt it but in anycase, who cares a bout fps on those dinky little screens. handhelds are for simple puzzle and score games. 2d stuff like that. i'm wondering how useful analog control is going to be in bumpy car/train/plane rides anyway. i tried to used my laptop's mouse in the plane on the way to seattle a few weeks ago and i saw a huge change in my accuracy because of the little bumps and stuff. i do wish the DS had the sleek and profesional looks of the PSP.

i'm going to omit the blatantly girl oriented shows, thats really not fair. what i disliked was crap like: TOM N JERRY KIDS FLINSTONE KIDS SCOOBY DOO KIDS sweet zombie jesus, nothing ruined my saturday mornings like when these came on. i can't imagine babies liked this stuff and fans of the original shows musta cringed, i don't know what the point of these things are. other shows i didn't like: darkwing duck animaniacs (sometimes they had good skits but for the most part they left me wanting the loony toons) mummies alive bevis and butthead (Mtv = music tv) the head (Mtv = music tv) the maxx (loved the comic but Mtv = music tv) aeon flux (sorry guys, that transparent symbolism just pissed me off) aquateen hunger force/harvey bird man/the brack show/sealab2021 (dear god why are these so popular) i know i'm steppig on some pretty popular shows there, but alot of stuff thats popular these days gets on my nerves.

I was just screwing around in that other thread lol newb.. yeah. hah.. c'mon guys knock it off. getting back on track, i think there is something fishy going on with those pics of the DS above. in the "open" pic, notice the three little groves near the bottome of the console. one is the power light. now find them on the "closed version". in the closed version there is a whole bunch of junk under the groves. none of that part of the console is there in the top pic. odd that they would photoshop out the botom part of the system for the promo pic. crazy? freaky? watch out.

Don't really do it for me either... i mean, i don't hate them, and not partial to them either.... lol~! what i want is a VF-1 on Mac 0 and the SDF itself, dammit! wtf is up with that claw?? i'm also a claw hater, but i'm a very NOT big fan of MZero in general. that claw is just SO rediculously out of place. it's like having a big "anti-tank" bayonette on a howitzer just because one day MAYBE a tank might roll up, you might be out of ammo, and you'll be like, "we could totally stab it with our howitzer bayonette!" what next are we going to see the monster running and jumping, and transforming and flying away? "MONSTER plane mode: GO!"

even in SDF macross and DYRL they used music to confuse the enemy, they still had to fight them. and the enemys still fought back, they were just unsure and fighting sloppy/scared. its a demoralizer. i dont' know what hapends in M7 yet, but if the music alone is defeating the enemys then thats quite a departure from the combat model i'm used to in Macross.

i had one of those weird dreams last night where you're hearing something on the radio and you dream about it. cuz i had a dream C.R. died. freaky. to me being a quadropalegic is a fate worse than death, but i guess that just shows my own weakness.

i'm a fan of fun games, i don't care about hardware. if the games are fun thats where i'll go. if the game is fun i'll folow it through bad graphics, crummy acting, bad animation, weird storys and whatever. polygon count and effects are so so SO over rated its embarrising. that said. since i don't plan on buying movies for a tiny creditcard sized screen, and i don't have hundreds and hundreds of dollars to spend. the DS is looking pretty snazzy. its a good design that manages to offer alot of inovation with its stylus controller yet they're smart to make it not manditory for games to be played on the system. its a part of the system that can easily be ignored. a big screen and analog stick are not gonna make it easy to forget that the psp is dieing ever 45 minutes i am using it.

While I do think that the free-roaming, take the game at your own pace and do what you want along the way gameplay was a big leap forward, am I the only one who isn't really impressed with GTA? No, I never was - when you're main selling point is senseless violence, it's sad when it gets respect for principally that. I like gta for the car chases and jumping off stuff, and general exploring. my roommates can sit there for hours chainsawing people and fighting the cops. i don't. this new game is looking intresting, that mech design is kinda cool but whats up with the 8 guns just like welded to the side. looks slapped togeather. like they took a japanise design, handed it to american 12 year olds and said "add guns" wonder what the gameplay feels like.

net flix has it, guess i'll get around to it someday.

saying youd rather not fight isn't pacifism. Pacifism means no fighting what so ever. its healthy to wish to avoid violence. it should be a last resort but an option none the less. if people know you're not willing to defend yourself. you're gonna be in a world of hurt. avoiding violence shows wisdom. but resorting to violence when all else has failed does too. you have to know when to fight for your beleifs. pacifists tend to get wiped out or eventually are shown to be fake in the end. how many pacifists do you think woudln't fight to save their children from harm, for example. imho, violence is a part of being human, just like racism and all the other nasty things that people don't like. its better to accept it, understand it, and work with it than pretend it doesn't exist. denying flaws will always come back to bite us in the ass. as for m7, i'm getting more and more resolute to see it. It seems much more intresting than M0.

in a war that is kinda goofy. why? because if you sing to someone in war they're going to pause just long enought to aim their riffle at you and make you stop.

just don't forget, one 1/48 is worth like.. what.. 10 banpresto valks. they may be tiny but damn if they arn't cool. i have four and i'm as pleased with them as i am with my yammie rat. eh.. don't listen to me, get the yamato. its very worth the money.
