  1. Oh boy and that's a 1/72 scale model. Nice work of detailing this little bird. Only 1 little critique (remark) : the ejection seat handle is on the sideboard of the seat (like the F-14 ejection seat) Other than that : hands down beautifull cockpit
  2. But on Topic, I've been busy on the finishing of the staircase : Also added some pieces from a bomb dispenser of a 1/48th Tornado I still need to fill up most of the empty pieces and work will start on the sidewall
  3. Just got my new toys in the mail today : the 4 different 1/144 Destroid recasts(originally from Yellow Sub). Nice little kits although no decals Here's the link from Hobbyfan : Destroid kits
  4. 1/35th scale....... where did you get this little fellow Me want one BTW nice work on that kit
  5. Might get me one of those. let us see how the finished model looks.
  6. Whoo nice, now just wait for the 1/72 Monster (BTW I noticed one of you Valks is missing his wheels and hood ). Just would love to find the old ARII kits
  7. Drool, those in flight pics are awesome. Very impressive. Now you don't really sound that nuts in the movie. Beautifull work. Hope you'll get the CG prob. worked out without to much weight Please keep us posted on the progress. Nice work
  8. Why do you think the firetruck is there in the back
  9. Allright, work started on the backplate for the diorama. Got a wooden groundplate wich is good for the metal tie down points and large enough to fit the complete dio. Here's an overview shot wich shows the difference in the lay out : here are two detail shots on the still bare backplate. Just the large details. Some leftover pieces from the scrapbox will be used to fill it up :
  10. 33 does that work for you bromgrev ? As for anime, I don't really care what other people think. I've gotten used to be mockep about my hobbies, be it modelbuilding, anime or Macross. I just simply smile at them and walk away. Mainstream just isn't really my thing
  11. Oh boy, Ican't wait to see the in flight pictuers. Beautifull work Luke. Let us know how it flies
  12. @ P.W.Royce : do you think it's worth the time and effort that little kit? I've been looking at 'm but wasn't sure. Last former Soviet kit I've bought was c@@#. A Frogfoot, with nice exterior detail, but major fit problems. It ended up as a toy for my oldest @ HWR don't you just like Trumpeteer for the huge models ? Besides the Hind I've got myself the A10 with updatesets from Cutting Edge (Both interior and exterior sets). If you ever need detail pics or anything, I've got an amazing photobook on the Hind. About 300 pages al nice detail shots per model ever made
  13. Another quick remark, see if they can get the fit problem between the nose and the fuselage all worked out. Judging from the few pics I've seenf rom the original Club M the problem is from shrinkage. Also the remakrs from HWR are spott on. Good luck with the purchase, might be I join in later
  14. Not sure, I don't have a Yammie, but judging at the amount of clearance you've got on the FP's I think it could be pulled of. If you can get me the measurements of the Yammie FP's I could check them against the Resin Packs.
  15. HWR, thanks for the tips, I'll be adding styrene "holders" for the missiles, so the lift can get under the missile. Didn't think about the holding guy on the missile The other parts give the problems as the scene will be to crowded on the nose Thanks for the feedback
  16. Thanks for the feedback guys. Here's the first attempt at the diorama. Still very basic, some psoing around. The black line denotes where the 'prep' area begins. The main idea will be to build up a backpart also and maybe some lighting If someone got some good idea's, let'm come please edit : forgot the pic...again
  17. I must admit, I can't wait to get my hands on a copy of this Monster. The details, the possible diorama's........ Awesome work Mike, you're my hero
  18. I took the save route and bought a bottle of Humbrol thinner to thin it with. I applied it VERY gently in order to get an even finish. An extra note I'm not sure if I didn't close up bottle to good or what the reason was, but after a few weeks my flat coat was completely white in it's bottle.
  19. Sean, be afraid, be very afraid I've sprayed several planes with the Humbrol Dull Coat. The problem DARTHTODD describes is typical for Humbrol. Spray it on to thick and you'll get a milky finish once completely dry (Happened to my Mad Dog). It's very good once dry, a very dull finish, but apply it very gently and allow time to completely dry (see my problem on the build up of the VF1, I was luckily able to brush it out).
  20. Ido, just a small remark, the seat on the VF1 (and all 1/72 birds for that matter) are so small that you may glue them before you prime them. This way you do't have to worry to ruin the paint job. Great work on the VF1 and the small mistake I suggest you place some sheet styrene on the insides (you'll prob. need to reshape the gearbays a bit) to give some "meat" to the putty so it doens't break off later
  21. Luke, how's the SV51 coming along ? Ready to fly
  22. This my UD VF1S Strike version. All I need to do is putting on some smaller details like the boarding ladder, access hatches on the wing roots and maybe some postshading. Thanks to HWR who scanned some drawnings I have a general idea on how the diroama will look. Still need some time to get everything figured out. Once this is all done I'll put on the smaller details and look wich weapons will be attached to the wings and wich will be on loading tables. Please feel free to give comments, feedback and remarks (good or bad). I would like to know what you guys think
  23. Allright HWR, here's my take on the VF1 (more on the thread itself) but some preview : VF 1 Build up for those who haven't seen the build up, some more pics. LMK what you guys think
  24. It's indeed a sad moment.... may I ask for 1 minute silence as I close the box where my parts from the VF1 were placed I've finished her up to the point where I can before the diorama is completely set up So here are some pics from the cockpit : As soon as the pictures are resized I'll post some of the total view edit : forgot one
