OK, so now that I am going over the pics...I noticed "two" small errors...tampo errors to be exact....and it could have been minimized if KC would have also tossed in a "LowViz' VF-1J head.....can you spot it? :search:

It's sort of comical how of all the available VF types from KC...they went and printed the one type that this release does not represent....I bet a VF-1J "LowViz" with a super low production count release is in the works...lol

Maybe "special paint" VF-1J Rick in the works.

  2. I guess it all depends on how ready for release it was. Since it doesn't look rough, I think it's very optimistic to hope they'll revisit it and make improvements based on what Hasegawa did. Then again, I don't see a lot of joint engineering there so maybe it was just a quick mock-up with more work to be done.

When I was transforming Bogue back to fighter mode I figured out what my problem with that toy was. The sliding forearm must have had some flash so it was only sliding like 90% of the range it was supposed to. I noticed the gaps on the one side were just a tiny bit worse than they were on the other side so... I did what you should never do with these expensive toys, I forced it and it was one of those rare occsasions where that was the right move. Now the forearm moves much more freely and gets all the way to the right position and my guns now both behave properly.

  5. Bandai is so random... we got VF-1A Max TV and VF-1A Angelbirds in DX before Hi-Metal. How does that make sense??? Then they tease us with these toys that only make sense in Hi-Metal and never deliver! That Q-Rau looks like a finsihed product... it looks like it would be easy to pull the trigger.

  6. Welcome to the board. I didn't know that ebay let you do videos, that's very nicely done. Here's a couple pointers:
    1) You have a Typo in the subject that calls one a "FV-1S" which should be VF-1S
    2) I think your listing is probably good as is, has the VF-1 names and the Takatoku brand but if you really wanted to you could throw in the Roy Fokker/Roy Focker and Max Sterling/Max Jenius names (Robotech/Macross names).

A little feedback, you'll probably do better as separate listings. The Max is a rarer bird and more people are shopping for it than Roy and the Roy has more damage. I would list it as: Macross Robotech Takatoku 1/55 VF-1J Max Jenius Sterling and it will probably generate more interest. Personally, I'd also wait until the first week of January to list it also to get a little distance from the holidays that will keep people away from their computers and might catch people who get a little scratch for Xmas but that's unsolicited advice that's probably worth what it cost ya!

  7. I feel like this is one of those puzzles where you're told there are X differences between pictures that look identical and you have to find them all.

I see someone must have complained that the toy wasn't made 100% of die cast so they had to add "Die cast / Plastic" at some point.
