They are great though... Nice squad! I'll buy variants if I can buy I hate preordering from them so I would rather wait until they're shipping. Wish I could swing by the store every couple weeks and check if anything is new but that's a bit out of my way.

Oh I thought that blue set was waterslide. Thanks for checking and seeing me straight!

It's a Star Wars Robotech Terminator fever dream... but he's actually going to sell them? Bizarre.
He should be spending this effort on fixing the website so people actually feel comfortable about making purchases!

Does anyone have a Yamato 1/48 Urban Camo GBP? I'm curious if it came with a regular sticker sheet as well as what appears to be a waterslide decal sheet. Mine only has the waterslide but I bought it secondhand so want to confirm.

So ThreeZero Max includes an optional blue neck and Miriya doesn't include a red one? That feels odd.

Okay, I'm all done, and here are my thoughts:
I have been watching the show as it came out so I’m a terrible judge of what contradictions or loose threads the finale may have had because nothing is fresh enough in my mind.
SpoilerAfter Kali died, my wife and I had to pause it and do a couple chores and I said to her “It’s too bad they killed Kali, that would have been the perfect opportunity to create an illusion that El died.”
I believe the intent of the writers is that El really does die. Kali is dead, the portal is far away, and it’s a heroic act of sacrifice. It doesn’t feel like that ‘goodbye’ happens and she would do that to Mike and Hop otherwise. The Kali version of events are Mike’s wishful thinking, as it is for all the futures he discusses BUT will become reality when there’s enough $$ to demand it so cleverly done. I wouldn't be surprised if the writers were like "AND EL SACRIFICES HERSELF!" and the producers were like "Fine, just make sure you leave a way where we can undo that." I think the shot with El and the waterfalls is another subtle hint that this is Mike’s fantasy, not what’s really happening. EDIT - I think that book on the shelf is another reason to believe this is Mike's fiction, NOT what happened to El.
The finale gave me similar vibes to the last Lord of the Rings movie… it ends… and then goes on for another hour dully over-explaining that everyone is okay. It’s not terrible because we’re emotionally caught up with everyone but I didn’t need the four people hanging out on the roof making promises they won’t keep about staying in touch, Harrington coaching little league, or even the high school graduation… feels like there were more expedient ways to say “and they all found themselves and moved on.”
From a logical perspective, Hop actively killed lots of military people… feels like he wouldn’t be sheriff… but whatever, glad they overlooked it so he can have his happy ending. Also, the group gets gung-ho this season about inviting others into a life-and-death battle which you think they'd be shy about after Eddy. Vicky? Sure, come help. Science teacher? Let’s bring you into the upside down. The team also has crazy confidence this season that didn’t waiver. Isn’t the Mind Flayer supposed to be conscious also? Felt like it was reduced to a big spider and Vecna was the only brain. Not sure how I felt about the twist of Henry being corrupted by an outside source rather than being naturally gifted/evil.
So, I have some nits but overall I thought it was a fun ride and a good ending to a very fun show.

TIA = Thanks In Advance.
Ah, I knew it would be obvious in hindsight!

What is TIA?
Moderoids are models with joints that can be built with theoretically no painting (sprues come in correct color).

Looked like there was an interview where they said they're already working on a spin-off related to the rock... A prequel.

Isn't this kind of weird stuff that killed America made Robotech a few years ago?
Curious what you're referring to? The comics? Robotech has been dead for a long time.

I think he was giving away the Arnold homage with his Terminator repaint custom.
The facial hair thing is interesting as questions about grooming lead to questions about culture pretty quickly.

So there's going to be some sort of ten pack available? Maybe if I buy the ten pack I can also get the one they owe me.

I feel like you guys have been a part of a different hobby for the last twenty years with all this talk of toy company warranties... Wouldn't that be nice! I usually beg friends in Japan to ask politely for me and if it's been more than a few months since release nothing comes from it anyway. Sometimes I'll get the ThreeZero treatment where they pretend they want to help but it never goes anywhere.
-
I suspect a Toyrise Tread will have some big differences from the anime version. Aren't these toys 2/3rds the size of the Sentinel? I expect lots of concessions and unique takes. As other members have pointed out, 1/48 is too small for a Legioss... Going even smaller? Wild. Pose+ had the right idea for scale but I have more than a few concerns about what they choose to do with it.

Terminator 2 meets Captain phasma.

I saw this and here's my review:
Easily the weakest of the three and it feels like a big missed opportunity. Yes, still visually brilliant and not a bad popcorn action flick but kind of frustrating.
The female antagonist is excellent and so full of potential. There is an amazing movie here that didn't happen where the humans drive a wedge between the Na'vi and they battle each other. In this hypothetical movie, the humans would barely be present which would have made the movie feel fresh and new. Jake would need to solve the problem not by being the warrior king but by unravelling the machinations (or someone else could do that). Instead, they immediately supplant the female big bad with the same old bad guy we've been dealing with, go back to the same old human locations, and then basically re-live the end of the second movie for an hour.

Design proposal: my biggest pet peeve of every Legioss toy since the Gakken 1/32 is the door that swings over from the center with the sensor array connected to the bottom of it. In the line art, there is no door laying over the right shoulder. I think that center panel should flip backward or recess. The sensor array should rotate from facing the nose of the plane to facing thrusters and then the arm the array is connected to should pivot laterally and vertically to move the sensor to the right shoulder. As a bonus, this mechanism would also help with the creation of a Dark Legioss (you would simply delete the array and have no doofy looking door with nothing on it).
Edit - Looks like the team may have thought the array would be stored in the chest?

Does Sentinel actually need HG's permission?
It doesn't feel like they should but maybe they need an agreement with Toynami to distribute internationally and that's the hold-up? The Tread already has the Robotech license on the back of the box like the latest Legioss reissue. They originally didn't bother with international licensing because they felt the international sales wouldn't be large enough to warrant the headache of dealing with other companies but that may have changed with such a low demand item like the Tread. I could just imagine it being like "Hey, let's pay the 5% and get the HG license so we can sell this wholesale through international channels" and then they get the license only for HG to tell them "Oh, and you have to use Toynami and they want 5% also" and that being where the wheels come off. Who knows though, I don't have anyone left at the company to ask
-
Is it me, or does it have kind of a Lego vibe going on?
-
Yes, I thought we would have heard of a reissue already... Hopefully Sentinel has something up their sleeve.

I think they're all just 'what if's...
Really crazy they're not releasing the anime versions to drum up sales.
