I like raspberry, but I see cherry there.
Gonna ask again: Are there nylon parts in a 3Z VF-1? At least one visible in any mode? I ask, because that Mirya 1J is one step from becoming my Axoid if it can accept paint. (Nylon apparently can't)
ABS, PVC, POM, and diecast construction. POM is similar to Nylon so whatever parts those are, won't take paint well. I have no idea how to tell which parts are ABS or PVC vs POM.

Whoa, $100 each? $300+ for the 'deluxe' pack? That's a lot more than I would have expected. For $150 you can get the ThreeZero and have it all in one toy. For $100 you can get the KitzConcept (without the display stand). Given today's exchange rate, you can get a DX for less than $150 also (at MSRP). Hard value proposition there. We also already have the Calibre Wings 1/72 VF-1 models so curious how those will compare. The GERWALK is really the odd man out, not much I want to do with GERWALK that I can't already do with transforming toys.

I'm shocked they didn't go with the name "Super Switch" like the ol' Super Nintendo. I ridiculed the idea of the Switch when it was first announced and ultimately it was the only system I bought of the generation and I loved it. I'll let the dust settle and probably grab one as a gift for the next holiday season.
-
I would live to grab one of those.

Watched it with my son, we thought it was fun. As an adult, I had some qualms but all very minor in the grand scheme. First SW I've watched since Mandalorian.

I think that was the first toy I ever purchased with a box so big it made me angry.

I will say, I have been impressed by the subtitles on the Disney+ releases.
I can't point to any specific instances off the top of my head, but I do feel that I have gained some new insight into certain areas of the Macross animes, when compared to the older fansub releases.
I wonder if the Save and the other members that were previously involved in the subs worked on these also.

I saw some pics of the Max figure on FB so I'm guessing a few have leaked out to buyers.

I wish KC operated more like a regular store. My artillery pods still haven't shipped. I ordered them right away when they went up for PO, I wonder what the delay is? Also, it seems oddly silent since the kickstarter completed. You'd think there'd be a big push to acknowledge the kickstarter's success and try to capitalize on the momentum... not go radio silent.
-
Sorry to hear that, I'm in S. Pas and it's been pretty scary. Good luck!

It's there! All are listed as upcoming, so exciting!

I love the AG line, looking forward to this.

The tornado parts come with a tripod for battroid mode. For me, fighter is the only way to go with those parts.

Did Noel ever disclose the reason why BW would not grant his company a license for the Macross Zero F-14?
Lol, he certainly had some opinions, none of which were flattering. Your hypothesis may be valid and he may not have known. The impression I've gotten is that BW is a small company that is very weary of foreigners. With their HG experience, who can blame them?
I get it now on the Macross logo, thanks. That may have to do with the pilot names also. A later run, in Japan or not, could carry the Macross logos with the Macross names.

Do you mean that ThreeZero didn't use the kite in their marketing materials? It's definitely on the toys.

Maybe no one really asked
Calibre Wings asked and was told no. Of course Noel didn't take it well and released his MZero F-14 anyway. I seem to recall that KC was courting BW so maybe their stance is softening but so far, BW has has a strict domestic bias.

That’s definitely true, but I don’t think it would be too tough for them to do so. Almost everyone is getting a bw license agreement these days. They probably would just have to market them as limited items for Japan only.
Has any company not headquartered in Japan received a BW license?

The VT-1 and VE-1 both have such allure for collectors. Even though a DX is available, buyers are stilling willing to pay top dollar for a nice 1/55.
I don’t think I will ever sell mine. Too much wrapped in nostalgia to even consider it.
I sold mine once.... then spent nearly twice as much to get it again (though the second one is in better condition). I think it will now be one of the last collectibles I ever sell.

Ha, I passed, ain't nobody for the time to build this thing!
-
I wonder if KC will ever ship my armed battlepods.

Unfortunately, every single company involved here could easily be the pain point:
BigWest
Harmony Gold
Sony
Disney
Of them all, Harmony Gold of course has the worst track record of being difficult. BigWest though, is no peach either. Both of those companies are but tiny drops in the huge oceans of dysfunction that are Disney and Sony. -
I saw this post today:
https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/answerman/2024-12-30/.217013
but it's only notable because BigWest gives this non-answer to why Disney+ hasn't put the catalog up in the US:
“We know that fans are eager for a response, and would like them to know that their voices are being heard. As fans ourselves, it's been gratifying to see Macross finally starting to be released overseas, and we look forward to seeing the ongoing rollout of most of the Macross library.”
Unfortunately, that platitude is all the meat, with everything else being supposition as to the causes.

Yep, just fighters.
-
Since they went full drone at the end of the show, it would be cool to develop a drone fighter that converted into a GBP or super parts like accessory for the Legioss.

Mine is on the way but I'm not expecting it soon. Pretty excited to check it out.
